“Ok so we’ve dined at Old Scratch Troy location about 6 times since it’s opened. Waited a bit to give them time to really get in their groove. While I do recommend the place. Pizza is good, staff is nice (especially Amanda at the bar) and shareables are tasty. That said I would like to see the food’s taste be a little more consistent. My favorite dish is the fire roasted cauliflower but sadly it hasn’t been prepared the same way twice with the last two times it was barely seasoned at all once it was almost raw. Hopefully as training continues they will fix that issue.“

“Originally from Buffalo NY, found it very difficult to find a pizza that even comes close to what I was used to. I've tried many pizzas across the Miami Valley and all I can say is that most were pretty bad, and a few ok but not much more. 2 places were halfway decent but those places went downhill. I finally tried Joe's Pizza last month and have to say, the Absolute Best in Miami Valley. It was the closest to Buffalo Style Pizza I ever had in Southwest Ohio. Told their Staff the same. I will definitely be going back there despite being a little drive from where I live. I would recommend Joe's Pizza to everyone, especially if you're looking for a quality pizza!!“

“Found this little gem on the internet. The food was absolutely fantastic. We all enjoyed the food. My friend tried lamb for the first time. She was in heaven. The server was great. My only complaints were the lamb was overcooked, but still juicy, and the kids running all over the place (and the boy that was hitting his brother with a belt, not hard, but still annoying).“

“Hoagie's was a staple for me in the 80s and early 90s when I lived nearby and worked in the Poe Avenue area. It had been a long time since I'd visited so I drove over (across town from Fairborn - about 25 minutes one way) and ordered when I got there. I got two pizzas, a whole Spider (one of my all time favorite sandwiches) and the stuffed garlic bread. I grabbed a Coke and sat outside on their patio in the lovely weather. 20-ish minutes later, they brought my order right out to me. It think it was about $40 and well worth it. The pizza was just as I remembered it - the big thing I love is their sauce has a great tomato flavor and isn't too sweet. Great crust and well topped. I ordered my wife's pizza light sauce and they did it perfectly. The Spider was everything I remembered and the stuffed bread sticks might be my wife's new favorite thing. They have a nice amount of inside seating and the staff was very friendly. While I was waiting outside, it was a constant stream of folks coming for pickup orders. Hoagie's is as good as I remember and it will be on our regular rotation going forward. I just made me happy to reconnect with some of those memories from my first job working in that area and to get back to Hoagie's. If you have the chance, you should go.“

“Marion's is a Dayton classic. The decor has echoes of the 60s and 70s I. Dayton, but clean, updated, modern yummy. Definitely not a national delivery chain. You order in one line, move to another to order drinks, pick out a family style table in the dining area (yes, Virginia, some pizza places are still fine in). My fave is their traditional thin crust with the basics. Marion's is also popular with group things - offices, churches, etc. Nothing like it anywhere else.“

“We had not been at OE for over a year. Only 9 people in the bar on a Friday night at 7:00pm….no band. Good service, as always. A large Chicken Ranchero pizza was $22.00, and it was only so-so. I don’t know what is happening in the Oregon District.“

“I drove out to Dayton from Columbus to have a little fun day. While looking for a good place to eat I came across Godfather’s Pizza. We were NOT disappointed! The girls at the counter were amazing, and provided the sweetest and best service! Everything was very clean! The food? INCREDIBLE! I ordered a large pep, medium Humble Pie and 2 orders of garlic bread with cheese. I’m used to garlic bread with cheese being a sliced sub bun. We were all very excited to see that it was thick cut garlic butter and cheese toast! for a group of 7, one order would have been plenty. The pizza sauce blew us all away! Shortly after our pizzas came! The cheese pull was BEAUTIFUL! 7 people and we had the large pizza box stuffed with leftovers! We are all very picky about pizza and Godfather’s did NOT disappoint! Even after the pizza had sat for a little it still had a picture worth cheese pull! Not an easy thing to find anymore! Keep doing what you’re doing!“

“Me and my wife ate inside. The two girls up front were both very friendly and helpful. Brought our food out to the table and brought us extra bread sticks. And even delayed bringing the cheesecake out so we could eat it cold. I wish I had a picture of the food but is was so hot and good I didn't think of it at the time. Everything was on point. Only thing I will say is the floors near the counter and in the restroom both smell like they were mopped with dirty water. There was a mild odor. But once you got to the dining room the odor didn't follow.“

“I want to start off by saying my food and service have always been great! I understand every once in a while quality may be a little off. I order from this location I would like to say at least 4-5x's a month. Two weeks ago I ordered my pizza at 10 in the morning before this location was open with an 1130 delivery. When I received my food it was cold. Now I could've taking the whole order back because its normally pipping hot. Well I called and spoke with a guy told him about my order and his promise was a $10 credit. Well, I ordered again either that day or the next and I was told you can't use the credit on a delivery. I understood that I didn't feel like driving so I paid full price. Today, as usual on Friday I call to place my order and I was even going to pick it up. I talked to Brandon and he stated that I didn't have a credit. Not to mention my account is flagged for abusing credits. Now I have bank/credit card statements that I ALWAYS pay FULL PRICE for my food. At this point its not about the credit but the service. Why promise something if your not going to follow through. To say he talked to his GM about my number and he's not going to do anything is a bit much.“

“Tried Old Dayton Pizza for the first time today and it was AMAZING! You can tell the ingredients are fresh. The margarita pizza and pepperoni pizza were 10/10. “Ordered from north main store for delivery to Kettering health Dayton and the driver called to see where to deliver it when I put those directions online when I order and they always take it to the wrong entrance so I said it 3 times he got very rude and hung up on me. “This Noble Romans is located in a Service Station. The owners are husband and wife and very nice people. This is a hidden gem as they offer a variety of foods to include their famous breadsticks with dipping sauces. I had the pleasure of trying the chicken burrito which was excellent with a fresh OJ from the store. They offer a variety of pizzas from 7", 10", and 12" all are excellent. If you are in the Dayton aera or stopping for gas this is a must stop.

“I cannot say enough positive things about this Marco’s location. I was actually stopping for food at the place next door when I saw there was a Marco’s. I was unable to physically restrain myself from ordering their cinnasquares, (seriously if you haven’t had them get them, you’re welcome). I sat in my car and ordered online, grabbed my food from next door and walked in 25 minutes ahead of the time they said it would be ready, way early. On my way 2 different guys were HUSTLING in and out with delivery orders and BOTH stopped to say hi/hold the door for me. THEY HAD PIZZA, I should have been holding the door! Anyway, they were so friendly.

Everyone in the kitchen was working diligently, Friday night pizza night and all. However, I noticed how nice/kind they were to each other? Not that most places are mean but these employees were clearly close and it made me happy. It was also insanely clean feeling (this may not make sense but it’s the only description I have :)).

I went to the register and there was an older gentleman in front of me who was unsure what to order and the man working the register was a DREAM. So patient, so sweet, so understanding. On a busy Friday night my heart grew 2 sizes that day.

I let the guy working know I was there but to also know I was NOT in a hurry and I knew I just placed my order and I was fine to wait. Those squares have a chokehold…

He was insanely nice and chuckled with me on my obsession. Less than 2 minutes later he brought out PIPING hot cinnasquares to me explaining there were multiples on their way out and one order still had pizza cooking so it was better for them too to have hot ones closer to their pizza time.

On my way out, another delivery person said hello and said he hoped I had a great weekend.

I meant to write this review Friday but it’s been 5 days and I keep thinking of that whole experience lol. It was fantastic and cannot recommend it enough. Thanks for having humans that are kind to other humans for no other reason than crossing paths.“
