“I was traveling through the area and am very fortunate to have found this jewel! The atmosphere was welcoming and the food was absolutely fantastic!! I started with fried pickles, which were crunchy and simply delightful. Our entrees were incredible. It was obvious that the food was prepared fresh from high quality ingredients, and I want to come back again and again!!!!!“

“This place is like home, it's busy, with consistent staff. I have been coming here for years, always seeing the same faces, it's nice. “I’ve been coming here since I moved to Tremont about 2 years ago. La Bodega is a friendly neighborhood sandwich shop with a delicious and varied menu and excellent service. I’m talking remember-your-name type service. It’s the place where you want to be a regular and when you do, you feel more plugged into the community. More a part of Tremont. La Bodega makes a great lunch when working for home or on a day off.I highly recommend the Southwestern Sub (#45) and the assorted side dishes are a great addition (usually pasta & potato salad, coleslaw and the like). Thankful for local businesses like this!Vegetarian options: Plenty of non-meat based subs, salads, and sandwiches to enjoy!“

“I was waiting to get a ride for Lyft and I seen at least 30 people go in and out so I had to go see what was in the brown bag and it's the best chicken papikash I've ever had. Must try!!! And that bread!! Sourdough I believe was lovely as well with a little butter on top dipped in the soup (chefs kiss)“

“Friendly staff. Owner is a great guy. Food quality is on point. Quality of soups are great and I love the cheese sandwiches. This is an in and out operation. Prices are good. Tysm for great service.Parking: Parking lot is available but it's gotta be quick in and out unless you use the meter parking spot.“

We entered where the signage was, and asked some great questions, but when we started to order, we were told that "you don't order here"My wife and I were confused but then they explained that you order at the register. We placed our order, but it wasn't signed like that.I would come here again, but I may not want to if it appears busy as that sort of confusion leads to service delays.“

The guy at the counter was sweet I didn’t have cash to tip so I asked to tip off my card he politely declined so I leave this review as my tip!! “I've always walked past the Souper but never got an actual chance to check it out. As someone who lives downtown, I unfortunately can't experience most restaurants because a lot of them are only M-F and close at 5... which means that by the time I get off of work, they're closed. Lucky for me, Monday and Friday are my WFH days so I finally made it my business to get to the Souper Market. I was VERY IMPRESSED. I had the Creamy Mushrooms (I think) soup and a Grilled Cheese and was blown away. It was hearty, delicious, and perfect for the cold weather. The staff was very kind and actually helped me decide on what I wanted. They run a promo that after a certain about of visits (tracked through a punch card), you'll get a free bowl of soup.. which I think is pretty cool. I hope that one day the hours and days of operation are expanded, so that downtown residences can visit more often but I'm a fan and will likely be back.“

“Order the chicken gumbo soup. Being that I am from New Orleans Louisiana this is not gumbo had a nice taste but it was missing some key elements that would make it gumbo. The vegetables was very chunky. Overall nice place. Nice atmosphere. Good customer service just needs a little work.“

“My friend and I ordered appetizers, soup and salad and dinner… the soup was not hot and the salad came literally 1 minute after. Before we even finished the 1st bowl of Ethel dinner came… I felt like I was being rushed out.. all the food on the table was overwhelming and I couldn’t really enjoy anything… I think that the server should allow a little bit of time to enjoy the first entree… then bring the dinner! No one likes to be rushed to eat… it almost makes it un enjoyable…“

“Came down to hit Hausfrau Records and the local vintage shops. Decided to try Ninja City as the bar looked very inviting. Cool vibes in the bar, and we decided to stay for lunch. I had the Korean Rice Bowl bibimbap with brown rice. . It was delicious, I only added some of their chili garlic hot sauce. Needless to say I was a member of the clean plate club. Accompanied by an Octoberfest draft. My daughter had the spicy Mac n cheese with fried chicken. That chicken was insanely delicious with the cheddar in the sauce. Highly recommended. Great bartender and server were friendly and knowledgeable. Ample parking nearby. Definitely check it out!“
