“Stopped in for breakfast while traveling through town. I was cheerfully greeted and seated immediately. At 8 AM you can pick from the full menu.
I selected the veggie omelette and potatoes covered with grilled onions. I also selected the sourdough toast.
What I did not expect was the portion size. This veggie omelette was enormous. If you hear about a shortage of cheese it is because it’s all in my omelette!
The omelette was the size of a rolled up Sunday paper. It’s tough to get a veggie omelette right and this kitchen delivered perfect perfection.
Those potatoes and onions! I didn’t leave any of those on the plate.
The sourdough toast and the jelly in those little medicine cups was just perfect.

Clearly, Lulu’s is a local’s favorite and there is a reason why. The food is fresh, the service attentive, the atmosphere inviting, and the food is remarkable.

Highly recommended.

“We were coming home from a little day trip. Found the lake and thought why not eat there. Stopped at Froggys. I have to say the food was a solid 5 star. The music was good. A lot of people but didn’t feel crowded. The service was a little poor as in a lot of people checked on us not our server. I would recommend coming here passing thru town. Solid 4.7 star outta 5 in my opinion.“

A handful of unique menu items that are well worth trying (e g. goetta), and the classics are done perfectly too (especially the home fries made with fresh potatoes). “Great little diner. We were passing through town and saw it, and we are glad we stopped in and tried it. Great food with good portions, choices and reasonably priced. Wish it was closer to home. I will eat there next time I pass through town for sure. Try it you won't be disappointed.“

“I just had an absolutely terrible experience at Lulu's Spencerville Rd . She brought me my food, and she was done! No checking back with me, didn't even check to if I wanted a second drink. This location has always been my favorite restaurant in the Lima area. One employee has ruined it.“

“This is a good place to go for sharing good company and making friends! If you live around Indian Lake in Logan County, you should stop in and view yourself. Kids have games they can play while you play bingo or just sit and relax. There are bands for dancing sometimes and on some holidays there are parties for the kids. It is a paid membership club, but the dues, in my opinion, are worth the entertainment for the family. There is an inside group for veterans called the Valued Veterans that can give veterans and their families a feeling of comorodary if that interests you. “The pizza, wings and salads are always very good. The pizza always has plenty of sauce without asking for extra unlike a lot of other pizza places , the wings are always good size and so are the salads. Great place that everyone should try.“

“This place has the best atmosphere. Great drinks, wide variety of food and the best drinks around (Polynesian mixed drinks, margaritas etc). You can often catch live music. The best part is watching boats coming and going right up to the patio.

Worth the trip to Indian Lake alone!“

“My husband and I stopped at Casa Lu AL 10/30 while we were on our way to another restaurant. Their exterior outdoor eating area looked cozy, and the large sign caught our eye.
The name sounded familiar, but I couldn't place why.
Once inside and admitting it was our first time here, the greeter at the front desk described the two levels and what they had to offer. Although the lively atmosphere at street level was really nice, we chose the downstairs, Nonno's Cellar. Walking down the beautiful and lit stairway was like walking into a different restaurant. The beautiful arches that were also lighted and cozy seating choices were absolutely thoughtful and lovely. The music that was playing perfectly completed the ambiance.

Our waitress, Sarah, was personable and helpful for our dinner selections.

We both love Caesar salads and were a bit disappointed in that not being available. However, we both had a terrific side salad with our meal.
My husband chose the Great Lakes walleye and said it was cooked perfectly and had a great flavor.
I had the fettuccine carbonara, and while it wasn't bad, it wasn't great either. There just wasn't much flavor to it. It was nice to have bread. However, it wasn't toasted or warmed up.

Between us, we had a red and white wine, a bourbon neat, and a cocktail. All were good and nice pours. Then we were greeted by Emily, who told me about a bourbon cocktail that sounded so good, I had to try it. After her suggestion, I can say I will definitely try a paper plane cocktail again! Thanks, Emily 🙂

Our visit overall was a wonderful experience. And we will definitely go back.

Once home, I started looking into Casa Lu Al and was able to jog my memory about why it sounded familiar. We had actually been before to the restaurant 4 years ago when they were located on the north side of Lima. I recall that our experience there wasn't a great one. We did not like the cramped, older interior. I can't recall much about the food we had, so it must not have been memorable.

If anyone has gotten this far in my long review, that has been to their previous location and wasn't a fan, all I can say is to make sure to try their new location. You will not be disappointed. They have definitely stepped up their game!

Just like many fast food restaurants, your experience can depend on who is working and cooking your food at that time. “I read some bad reviews on this place that kept me away but I decided today I would try it out and I have to be honest, the bad reviews are not warranted. I'm from Texas, here on business, this chicken is pretty good a little too much breading but other than that food is fresh and very good. Service is also good didn't wait too long after my order to get my food. The cashier was friendly. Note to self, don't believe the bad reviews, try it yourself to get an opinion, what's good for you might not be what's good for someone else! I recommend this place for some good homestyle fried chicken!“

“We ordered the chicken wings, which were really crisp and well cooked. The fiesta lime chicken was a big portion and tasted very good. Chicken and broccoli pasta was also good, they added loads of chicken but I felt the pasta was a bit undercooked. The Caesar salad was pretty average. Overall, a good takeout option.“
