“Haven’t been to JT’s Diner for about two years. Thought we’d give it a try as we remembered it being good at their previous location. We were very disappointed in our breakfasts. My crisp bacon was burnt to a crisp with burnt taste upon first bite. Our home fries used to be excellent “sliced” potato’s, but yesterday came as mush and the scrambled eggs were not even cut….just folded like an omelet. Coffee was good and hot, as in the past. For $20.53 I expected better. Don’t think I would return.“

The venue is unassuming, located in a strip mall off the side of a road, but man oh man do they serve up a nice bowl of noodles. I ordered the spicy ramen (only option with chili paste) and it was down right delicious. You can tell the restaurant puts time and care into what they do. The broth was bursting with layers of flavor. The noodles had great texture and held up in the soup. The pork belly had a wonderful crispy smokey flavoring going on. It was a perfect trio of earthy, spicy, and rich! It was a colder day when I stopped in and this bowl warmed me up down to the core!

The guests I was dining with ordered a he sushi roll and LOVED it! They said it was probably the best sushi roll they’ve ever had in their lives. Which is pretty high praise given they’re had more sushi than they’d probably care to admit.

The staff was friendly, attentive, and very helpful in the ordering process. The dining room isn’t big but they do have a handful of booths and bar seating along the sushi counter. The booth seating isn’t the most comfortable and the backs tend to lean if you try to press your back against it. Bathroom was clean and fully stocked with soap and paper towels. Always an indicator of a good operation when a restaurant has a clean bathroom area.

Overall, I’d definitely stop back in to try more food when I’m in the area next. I’d highly recommend stopping in and giving it a try if ramen and sushi are your thing! Just be warned this place fills up fast!“

“I've been going here for years, since before I was in high school (I'm in my early 40's). The service is always good, food is good. Prices are great, especially compared to other breakfast places. I was initially worried when I heard that Marc Glassman bought it but so far it's been steady.“

Seating is communal, so if you are a small group (2-4), expect to share a table with another small group.

“We had the best day watching The Buckeyes at The Wild Goose! One of our sons lives in Willoughby & the other son & his wife live in Shaker Heights. Fav spot for our kids but our first time. The pizzas, onion rings & buffalo dip were amazing! Outstanding selection of beers. Loved the atmosphere. Charming but lots of TVs as well. Can’t say enough about the staff!!! Cannot even explain how tender and amazing it is!
We were told they have the best steak you will ever eat.
Yes it is the best steak ever!! Portion is crazy huge and every bite tender and delicious.
I had the Said boullebais and it is amazing. The broth is piping hot. The lobster, scallops, shrimp, clams and muscles were perfectly cooked. Huge!! Enough to share.
Cocktails were spot on.
My friend had asparagus soup and had me try it . Yes it was beyond terrific.
Now I have to go back to have it. The chef visited our table and he was so welcoming.
Our server Rose was perfect and so knowledgeable.
I highly recommend this place
