Well, we just left there about 8:30 after walking in, the lady bartender working tonight and I made eye contact, we sat down and she didn't come to see if we wanted to order. We sat for a few more minutes thinking she'd come over or perhaps another person was in the kitchen that would come take our order but that didn't happen so we left. Customer service isn't there at all. We headed over to Craggy"s Boglands Pub and the lady bartender greeted us right away and was very welcoming.“

“Haven’t been to JT’s Diner for about two years. Thought we’d give it a try as we remembered it being good at their previous location. We were very disappointed in our breakfasts. My crisp bacon was burnt to a crisp with burnt taste upon first bite. Our home fries used to be excellent “sliced” potato’s, but yesterday came as mush and the scrambled eggs were not even cut….just folded like an omelet. Coffee was good and hot, as in the past. For $20.53 I expected better. Don’t think I would return.“

“I was recently given a recommendation to try The Standard, and I’m very glad I took it.

As someone who loves good food, finding a hidden gem in a city you already enjoy visiting is always a treat. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere struck the perfect balance between upscale and welcoming. I ended up sitting on the patio, which made for a fantastic evening.

Nicole was my server, and she was outstanding. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable without ever being overbearing. She took the time to answer questions about the menu and made several recommendations that absolutely elevated the experience. Her suggestion to start with the octopus appetizer was spot on. It was one of the best appetizers I’ve had in a very long time.

For the main course, I ordered the hanger steak with chimichurri, and it was exceptional. Perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and one of those meals that has you planning your next visit before you’ve even finished the first one.

What really stood out was how well everything came together. Great atmosphere, incredible food, and service that genuinely made the experience memorable. Nicole did an excellent job, and her recommendations were a big part of what made the evening so enjoyable.

Five stars hardly feels adequate. The Standard delivered one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time, and I’ll absolutely be back.“

The beer has always been top notch even for Cleveland but I have to say the food has gotten much better since Eugene's first opened its kitchen inside. I used to think differntly about them but in 2026 these may be the best fries in the city. The vegan dumplings were very high quality and you can't tell that a lot of skill and intent went into the non-meag dishes. I would definitely recommend stopping“

Also, the potstickers come in orders of four, which seemed stingy. Service was a bit lackluster. Our server had an attitude in particular; she left us hanging twice and muttered things under her breath walking past our table. And they were out of the dessert special that they offered us.
