“I was in town from Portland Or and gave this place a try. Portland is known for many reasons ha! (but beer is near the top of the list)...so yeah, I'm critical. Absolutely amazing beer and staff. The location I visited had an enormous and spotless brewing facility. Incredible upstairs area and spacious patio with a rotating food truck area. If you are looking for a solid place in town to sip delicious brews, Seventh Son should not be missed!“

“Went on a Monday afternoon. After meeting the cool tender/brewer, I was drawn by the 4 Fall-oriented stouts available. They have 1-up'd Jackie O's here and I highly admire this boldness, not to mention the very chill outdoor patio seating in German Village.

The Impaler series stouts are superb, well conditioned, and wood barrel-aged heavenliness. I chose the Chai Spiced Impaler 12% as it was the meanest on the menu, followed by the Chocolate Strawberry Impaler 11%. Both reminiscent of the well finished stouts I enjoyed at Great American Beer Festival 2024, much like Fremont Brewing's BBADS series.

Will return for more enjoyable, experimental stouts on hand.“

“I never heard of a “Cold IPA” before having it at the Barley. The most excellent bartend, Mark, explained it was all in the brewing process. I guess I am just much better at drinking a pint, so I proceeded to do so! My man thought the pale ale was just right for him - usually we find it necessary to sample a couple beers before we commit, but these were just too good! The menu was another story! We hemmed and hawed a bit over THAT decision! Have you looked at it?! So many amazing different choices to tantalize your palette! We finally settled on the sausage and pierogi dish. Mark reassured us it was a good one. We were not sad. We were actually pretty happy about it. It was SO delicious! A party in one’s mouth! - and since it WAS my birthday, I took home a growler of that “Cold IPA”. Mark said I could.“

The party room is large and has a pool table and pinball machines. There is a small patio off the party room. My guests loved that they could walk out into the tap room and grab a beer.
