“There is a lot of average Indian food out there but Rooh is on another level. It is one that we have only experience at restaurants like Deshoom in London. The hostess was so wonderful her personality is the best way to walk into a restaurant. The wait staff was perfection and unlike so many restaurants nowadays the pacing of the 3 course meal for restaurant week was perfection. Each course more tasty and beautifully prepared than the next. We don’t come to Columbus often but I would consider coming back just to eat here, and we will for sure be back next time we are in town. I just wish we would have Indian food this good anywhere near where we live. This place is a gem.“

But things are back to working like clockwork now - food is flavorful and plentiful, particularly the amazingly priced combo platters. Everything we ordered came to the table piping hot and somehow stayed that way the whole meal. We have zero complaints about the food or the service. While we ate, there was a revolving door of take away orders being picked up. The prices were more than fair and we had plenty to take home for another meal. Most Asian restaurants I been to serve “American spicy” level dishes which in term for me taste as bland as mash potatoes and black pepper gravy. I got the Saffron Special Pack with goat tikka masala and vegetable samosas, it also came with naan, basmati rice, and a drink--amazing value and a lot of food for the price $. When you pick up, you need to ring BOTH doorbells: the small one that says Saffron, and the big one that allows them to see who's at the door. “Yay khana bahut swadisht hai! This food is absolutely amazing, some of the best I’ve had in Columbus. The palak paneer was grilled before being cooked in spinach, and it added extra depth to the flavor. The butter chicken was prepared using very high quality meat that tasted specially grilled in a tandoor before it was cooked in the yummy spices! Such attention to detail with the cooking. The naan was perfectly crispy and flavored so well. Probably my new favorite restaurant in the area ❤ I would share photos but all the food is already gone 😂“
