“There is a lot of average Indian food out there but Rooh is on another level. It is one that we have only experience at restaurants like Deshoom in London. The hostess was so wonderful her personality is the best way to walk into a restaurant. The wait staff was perfection and unlike so many restaurants nowadays the pacing of the 3 course meal for restaurant week was perfection. Each course more tasty and beautifully prepared than the next. We don’t come to Columbus often but I would consider coming back just to eat here, and we will for sure be back next time we are in town. I just wish we would have Indian food this good anywhere near where we live. This place is a gem.“

“Tried the boneless chicken biryani, vulavacharu biryani, mutton Mughlai, goat pepper fry, and rasmalai. The mutton and goat dishes were excellent—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. Biryani portions were generous and easily enough for two.

Only downside: despite requesting utensils with our DoorDash order, none were provided. Overall, great food, but needs better attention to takeout details.“

“This was our first time eating here and it was amazing. Once inside it is clean and inviting. The server was friendly snd helpful. Everything we ordered came to the table piping hot and somehow stayed that way the whole meal. We have zero complaints about the food or the service. While we ate, there was a revolving door of take away orders being picked up. The prices were more than fair and we had plenty to take home for another meal. Highly recommend to anyone who likes Nepalese food or is looking for a new locally owned restaurant to try. We see ourselves coming back here again.“

“A lot of places don't pay attention to special requests, but this one does. I got the Saffron Special Pack with goat tikka masala and vegetable samosas, it also came with naan, basmati rice, and a drink--amazing value and a lot of food for the price $. I asked for extra spicy and they made sure it was extra spicy! Delicious wholesome food with plenty of meat, whole spices and fresh vegetables. When you pick up, you need to ring BOTH doorbells: the small one that says Saffron, and the big one that allows them to see who's at the door. This was new to me but they called me and explained over the phone and he was very nice about it. Impressive quality and prices, I will be back here again!“

“I had the Chicken Seekh Kebab and the Chicken Chapli Kebab Platter, and both were absolutely delicious. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. What impressed me most was how welcoming and honest the chef was—he made the whole experience enjoyable.

The portions were generous and the prices were incredibly reasonable. For around $10-15, you can have a very satisfying meal that leaves you full and happy. It’s rare to find such great quality food at such affordable prices.

“Yay khana bahut swadisht hai! This food is absolutely amazing, some of the best I’ve had in Columbus. The palak paneer was grilled before being cooked in spinach, and it added extra depth to the flavor. The butter chicken was prepared using very high quality meat that tasted specially grilled in a tandoor before it was cooked in the yummy spices! Such attention to detail with the cooking. The naan was perfectly crispy and flavored so well. Probably my new favorite restaurant in the area ❤ I would share photos but all the food is already gone 😂“

“They are willing to accommodate the spice level of the dish if you want it spicier and experience more flavors. Most Asian restaurants I been to serve “American spicy” level dishes which in term for me taste as bland as mash potatoes and black pepper gravy. If yall want to expand your tastebuds take my advice.“

“We were brought to Desi Bites by our nephew. After eating I was kicking myself to have missed this location so long. The chicken platter and biryani was very tasty and could been seen on most of other tables. Biryani was value for money. Then we tried maska bun with Irani chai, reminded me of my young years in Mumbai corner Irani shops selling these items. The taste was same what I had many many years ago.
The downside was my wife has announced kitchen closure going forwards on weekends. She does not realize how happy I am for it.
A must place to enjoy food prepared differently.“
