“Excited to have finally been able to try Comune. This is an upscale vegetarian restaurant with many vegan and gluten free options. It's not a full tasting menu but is set up similarly with many delicious small plates to share, mains, and amazing desserts. They also have a lot of fun cocktails and it's in a cozy, romantic atmosphere with dim lighting and lots of greenery. Definitely on the expensive side, but great for a date night or a night out with friends.“

“Cute coffee shop! Tried “I Yam What I Yam” which had a nice pumpkin flavor that wasn’t overly sweet. My friend asked for an Iced Cappuccino and the staff very kindly explained how they could accommodate an unusual request which showed their patience and focus on great customer service! The interactive downtown map was super helpful finding and navigating between hot spots in the area.“

“Went to the Cincinnati location and it was AMAZING! We ordered the cheddar scallion biscuits, Korean BBQ cauliflower, shrimp and grits, and the Szechwan Noodles. So much flavor in everything we tried. The wait staff was top notch. Our server Kevin was very attentive, checking on us to make sure all was ok and if we needed anything. There were also a few others that stopped by to see how we were doing and chat with us since we drove 250+ miles to eat there. They made us feel very welcome. I can’t wait to go back, it’s so worth the drive and I’m hoping they build one closer.“

“I ordered a gift card as a birthday present and there was a mix up (my end) in which they went over and above to correct for me. We don't live in Columbus but I can certainly see why my kids LOVE LawBird and their staff. We'll certainly make it a point to stop in on our next visit down.“

“The bar was quaint yet comfortable for our group of 5. Came up from Toronto to see the Ohio/Nebraska game. Were an older group so didn’t want to be with the students. This place offered us the proper atmosphere. The bartender was very pleasant and knowledgeable. All was great till we viewed the invoice. A special charge appeared on our bill for $82. No idea what this was for so we questioned management and received a questionable response.

“The only other time that I think of true craftsman ship and great service is this place! And with the recent closure of Mouton, where will non beer guzzling folks like myself go for a well thought out and in season cocktail, not a White Claw or PBR? Well this is the place. Don't come here expecting anything but the great menu of drinks with glassware, small bites, large tables and seating with bay windows for great conversation and vibes. Do not come here for loud broski chats or sorority shrill voice look at me tings. This is not the place for that and there are plenty of other places that appreciate that type of thing. Think of this spot as when you are 'adulting' lol. I love to give a review but hate to share this spot in fear of what will show up, but hey support small businesses! Just keep the vibes what it is. If I see beer pong after this, I am out!“

“We took our boys to celebrate a birthday and the knowledge and service was fantastic. Grant explained the rules and educated us on how to get a good proper throw. He cheered on the kids and made it a great time for our first experience at axe throwing. We will definitely be coming back.“

From painting, poetry, music, karaoke, trivia, ect. It is a bar that can be completely family friendly if you have children. “This is one of, if not, the best bar in Columbus. The staff is amazing and will remember your name after a few visits and they always have a smile on their face. I stumbled(drunk as hell) in here with a few friends one weekend looking for a chill place to watch some basketball. After demanding the staff that they turn the game on, someone informed that this a movie theater bar and only plays movies. I could not understand this concept at the time but somehow before the night was over I was in love and my friends and i returned the next night to see this place sober. I could not tell you much about the torpedo room after this night either since I became quite intoxicated once again. This seemed to be a magical place where the drinks flowed with ease and time stood still, until of course they closed and you had to leave. So we made it our happy hour spot, our let's get drunk before dancing spot, our Halloween bar spot, and of course where I asked my second wife to marry me spot. So if you're not sure what to do this Friday night, head over to the torpedo room. You don't even need a movie ticket to enjoy this show.“

“Came here for Karaoke, in from out of town [Pittsburgh]. Looked up Saturday Karaoke and this place came up so we went. So glad we did! There was a Bday party, ended up being the owners friends Bday. It was crowded but not overwhelming at all. The atmosphere was great, chill but upbeat and everyone was having fun, we'll, because, Karaoke! But even without that you could tell this was a great place to come for a drink, or for a drink and some good food. We didn't eat there but the menu looked excellent. The bartender was great, she was slinging drinks and talking to people, super nice. The owner, Neil, was so hospitable and went out of his way to talk to us and thank us for coming. He knows how to treat his customers for sure. From the outside it looks just like a regular everyday bar, but go in, you will be happy you did! We hope to make it back to try the food next time!“

“For such a small bar, Black Brick offers a large selection of craft beers and high quality scotch, bourbon, gin, vodka, and rum. There are always tasty and creative seasonal drinks to try. The patio is connected to the bar by a large door so in the summer time they open the door and the bar is basically outside! Another bonus is that they dont allow any smoking on the patio because of that.“

“My wife and I very much enjoyed her birthday dinner here, and our server even gave her chocolate cake on the house! We usually eat at more casual restaurants but this place was a good balance of feeling a little more upscale, but not overly so. We split the twin filets with a Caesar Salad and a side of macaroni and cheese, and everything was very tasty. I have a tree nut allergy and felt very comfortable eating here.“

“I am visiting from Boston and just happen to spontaneously tour the Ohio Statehouse. Here, I lunched at HouseTaco which locates inside the Statehouse itself. The food is quick and fresh. Chef Zach prepared the tacos on-site with passion. They were delicious! What a hidden gem!!!“

“I’ve never had a bad time at Eight and Sand. The food is beyond impressive and it is reasonably priced. You will not catch me missing the $1 wings every Tuesday and the veggie wrap is incredible. Don’t sleep on the weekly food specials they are always a tasty little surprise! Friendly outgoing staff all around, an awesome patio, and a chill vibe inside. It’s my very favorite bar, there isn’t another like it!“

“This is my newest fav spot in Columbus. We first went for my bday with our two little kids. We were nervous at first bringing them, but felt welcome and they ADORED their dishes. It was, until Speck graciously brought my a mini ice cream cone for my bday when all hell broke loose ? we were SO close! My husband and I knew we wanted to come back....solo, for a date. We made it happen quickly and I again basked in the culinary experience. Servers are attentive, the ambiance is moody yet delightful, feeling as if you walked into a NY spot. We sat at the chef's counter, which was cool to watch the action.
Twice I for the Fungi Pasta Dish... I would eat it every night if I could. The server recommended a Pinot Noir to pair with it and oh my gosh, he was right. Those little moments is what sets restaurants a part. His knowledge for the dish, even though he said he didn't like mushrooms but knew the two paired together brilliantly was like YES!! THIS IS AMAZING!
Oh, the tuna Crudo dish??? I had to stop myself from being awkward and moaning out loud. I will be dreaming of that dish and counting till the next time we go again.

“First time going. I really enjoyed it. I got full really fast so I didn't get to try a pizza. Abby was a very friendly server. I had the chicken sandwich which very tasty. The rest of my party had a chicken parmesan and another had a cheeseburger. Everyone liked their food. Money well spent.

Parking: Street parking is free on Sunday, I believe, but maybe hard to find a spot. There are garages available.“
