“Holey donuts! That is actually what they are called on the menu and they live up to the name. For a place that is not known for donuts, they were better than any I have had from a donut shop in Columbus. The donuts themselves are little nuggets of soft, cakey goodness, but it is the dipping sauces that really make it special. One is a fruit jam and the other is a dark chocolate sauce. We ate other food too and it was good, but get those donuts while you can. They are a limited seasonal special. Service was great as well.“
“Grabbed a quick brunch with two friends on a Saturday morning. It was busy but the wait staff did a great job turning over tables and keeping up. Very casual atmosphere makes for a family friendly brunch spot. I got the Trifecta with scrambled eggs, bacon and a blueberry pancake. All were good but not amazing and could have been brought out a little warmer. I've been before and tried the egg sandwich that is great too!“
“Great atmosphere. Clean and fast service. Friendly employees. Great selection of beers. No beer list to hold you need to go to the website to see all the beer options. Today they had 2 German beer offerings.Vegetarian options: They have the impossible burger and salads. Also gluten free buns are availableWheelchair accessibility: No hold open doors. The wind made it hard to open the doors.“
“We made a special request for a quiet table area for one of our guests due to hearing issues. Our hostess that greeted us was outstanding. She let us pick an area that we thought would work for us. The fact that she saw the request on our reservation and went out of her way says a lot about her work ethic! Our waitress was awesome as well. She was attentive, funny and made our experience a great one. The food we ordered was absolutely delicious! Very fresh and hot. The fish sandwich, Rueben, Salmon and pizza were enjoyed thoroughly! We would highly recommend RB Clintonville!!“
“A great and classic breakfast place. It opened early and served friendly. I ordered a loaded hash browns with sausage gravy, grilled onions, eggs and muffins. The sausage gravy tasted amazing, but there was too much oil at the bottom. I got my food quickly but the service was a little less attentive. WiFi was broken and there was no power outlet to do some laptop work.“
“The 2 Chefs are amazing and the food is excellent. All of the waitresses are amazing women. No complaints at all. I guess it may be a little tight in there, but it's the intamacy of the "Diner" experience.Parking: A few parking spaces in front, but most parking spaces in the back of the diner.“
“I dined at Agni last night. From the moment we walked in the door we were encompassed in hospitality. Our waiter went above and beyond to make us comfortable and describe the components of each course. I absolutely loved the tasting menu and the surprises along the way. This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had and worth every penny. I did the vegetarian course and my companions did the main tasting menu. I felt like I was tasting complex flavor combinations that just intensified with each bite. Highly recommend going for your own special occasions.“
“First time visit, will definitely be back. The service and food were both perfect. We had the biscuits and honey butter in a skillet, tacos (shrimp and grilled chicken both delicious), and the butter cake for dessert. The butter cake was delicious!! We were also pleased when our check came that we received our butter cake complimentary since we were first time visitors.“
“Loud, but the food is *really* worth it. I had the Burnsie burger and waffle fries and my wife got the Swiss mushroom burger and hand-cut fries. Fantastic as always!Probably don't want to talk it up too much for fear of not getting a seat when the craving hits...Parking: Plenty of parking“
“What a lovely restaurant and dining experience! the tin ceiling and fabulous bar welcomed us in, and from the moment we sat down felt we were in for a great meal. The warm sourdough bread, delicious salads, perfectly cooked steak and pork chop, and the final mortem dessert finale were all A+, and our server was kind, attentive and got everything right. Thank you for a great night out in Columbus!“
“A chain restaurant for breakfast? Yes. The local ones I wanted to go to were closed because it was so freaking early. This was open and handy. I do not recommend coming on a weekend, but on a weekday morning at 7:30, it was almost empty. Service was great. They have an extensive menu, but I was drawn in by their seasonal menu, which included Seoul Hash, a Korean-inspired hash. Potatoes, pork, gochujang, kimchi, topped with a couple of eggs. The eggs were cooked to my requested medium. The hash was very very good. The pork was tasty, the potatoes were well cooked, didn't seem to be as much kimchi as I expected, but it was there and good. Slightly spicy, filling. Good coffee.“
“This place goes well beyond "bar food" and makes some truly delicious meals. The pimento burger, falafel, wings, Mac and cheese...all fantastic. Drinks are super reasonably priced and all of the bartenders we've had have been great.“
“This place right here is IT!! It is a gem, the food is phenomenal. It's super small but has a comforting environment. We have had several different menu items and everything is amazing. Everything is homeade and made to order. The hash is unbeatable and the biscuits and gravy is like a grandma would make. Now let's talk about pricing, their prices are so good. This is hands down the best breakfast spot I've ever ate at in my 33 years.“
“Wonderful experience! We had a great waitress. I believe her name was Amy. Ordered three different appetizers dessert. And of course the complementary bread. So much food we couldn't finish it! Always delicious. Did not feel rushed at all, and we were able to sit and visit. Noise level in the back room is a little loud.“
“This was a nice little place we stopped on for dinner before a play at the Lincoln. We were able to get a seat because it was early, but the place was hopping. I ordered the soft pretzels, which were delicious, and the Italian wedding soup, which was....not good. I only ate anot 4 bites of the soup. Service was great, but we had several different people come by instead of a single server. Maybe that is their standard operation, though? I will be going back again.“
“Met a few friends there on a Friday afternoon about 4ish. The dining area was pretty quiet when we got there so we were able to get seated immediately. Our waitress was quick in taking our orders (the wings, as always, were delicious!) and she checked back in with us several times. By the time we left, a little after 6, the place was packed and people were waiting to get seated. So glad we got there when we did! I love this place!“
“Girls night out. Clint, Dylan, Mike and DJ were working. We had never been there before. They were very helpful with suggestions. And the wings and pastrami/philly were delicious. All the staff took turns checking in on us to make sure the food was good, and we had everything we needed. My friend and I talked a few minutes beyond closing but they encouraged us to just take our time. Laid back atmosphere. Will be going back to try the brisket next.“
“The food was really tasty. I had the sausage and rosemary omelette, orange mango mimosa, and a delicious cookies and cream milkshake. The service was a bit slow and the interior was not interesting. It was a nice place for brunch with the girls.Vegetarian options: The menu is all vegan, and there are so many options.Dietary restrictions: Aside from the all vegan menu there were several items marked gluten free.“
“We’ve been twice and had a blast! We’ve tried the fries, wings, and gluten free pizza and all were so good! I’ve tried at least 3 cocktails and enjoyed two so far (apparently I don’t like Campari lol). Great atmosphere and great music!“
“Delicious dinners with top notch service. Fresh west coast oysters and lobster bisque to start. Gorgeous tasty cocktails made a great girl's night out. Entrees of lobster pasta and Ahi tuna were nicely spiced and cooked correctly. Creme Brulee with caramelized sugar to share made our dining sweet! We enjoyed the outer heated porch area with lovely views of Easton shopping and a lucky timed sunset. Perfect!“
“Absolutely exquisite cuisine. Carefully prepared and intentional. The staff is consistently kind and attentive, and the management clearly cares about their customers.Their happy hour is extraordinarily affordable and a really obvious choice.“
“I loved the meaty omelette with hash browns and the delicious biscuit. Great place to go to if you want a hardy breakfast/brunch. The bacon wrapped hotdogs with Pico de Gallo ketchup and mustard were also delicious. I think if I order the meaty omelette again I will see if I'm able to add some veggies too.“
“From start to finish, just an excellent experience. Schedule on open table, worked with restaurant to add more people and space. They accommodated us with space, excellent service, incredible menu, delicious drinks, excellent desserts, and a great soundtrack. Couldn't have asked for anything more, no exaggeration- it was well beyond our expectations (and we have been know to be a very particular extended family)!“
“Excellent service and food. Our server, Adam, was absolutely the best! It was our first time here, and we will definitely be back. We had crab cakes, meatloaf and chicken romano, and the rolls were hot and light, so good. We shared the apple pie with ice cream for dessert. Delicious! We plan to come back for a shake and sandwich soon.“
“Came in on a busy night and Natalie was bartending. Absolutely amazing service. she never missed a beat and kept a smile on her face. amazing drinks as well! i had a great time and would definitely sit at the bar again with natalie she was “
“Easy to walk past but worth looking for this second story gem. Had a great experience at Denmark. The mixologist was fantastic and we shared some conversation around the different whiskey they had on the shelf. A great place for delicious drinks, but don’t go hungry. They do have a small menu for light fare food to take the edge “
“Polaris Grill never disappoints. Made a reservation for 7pm on 2/17/2024. My girlfriend and I were sat right when we got inside a bit before our reservation. The Jimbo shrimp cocktail was pretty good, but I could do without the bed of chopped romaine under the shrimp. The 6 shrimp were cooked nicely and they gave plenty of cocktail sauce. I ordered a Manhattan and a old fashioned. Both were pretty good. I don't care for orange slices in my old fashioned, but it was potent enough to keep my mouth shut. Not overpowering, rather a noticable amount of bourbon. My girlfriend got a Delmonico with, what I believed to be, a sort of potato cake and veggie medley. I got a filet Oscar style with mashed potatoes and asparagus. My steak was slightly under medium rare, but it wasn't enough to complain or send back for additional cook time. The Delmonico had a bit more fat than I would have cared for, but that's a ribeye for ya. We also got the creme brulee for dessert. The dessert was awesome with a great bit of caramelized sugar on the top, fresh strawberries and a loaf of whipped cream. It was overall a great experience. This is probably my third or fourth time going to Polaris Grill and it has always been great. I hope this place lasts forever. Thank you again Polaris Grill and Luke Chaney for the great service. See you again - hopefully sooner than later.“
“Very nice place to dine! The music selection, food and staff was quite enjoyable. We definitely will be back. If you like fish try their fish and chips. We had a party of 8 and even though we had late reservations they still were able to get us our food in a timely manner. Way to go staff!!!“
“Reserve a table or get full dinner service at the bar. Great window seating and patio. "Classic" steakhouse-style dining room. This is a modern rendition of a 1950s retro restaurant. Great steaks and solid wine list. You will not go hungry and you will not go thirsty! Bar service is a great choice for enjoying the crowd.Dietary restrictions: Keto friendlyCarnivore friendlyLow carb friendlyPaleo friendlyParking: Valet is best option“
“My company had our holiday party here and it was absolutely amazing. I loved the ambiance of the establishment and the setup for dinner. All the staff we're super amazing and hands on the entire time. They engaged with us at every stage of preparing our meal and we all walked away with great tips. As you can see from my photos, our meal was absolutely amazing and delicious. I also loved the open bar and being offered the opportunity to take an old fashioned cocktail making course. I highly recommend anyone to not only book this venue, but to also check out their other events as well.“
“came in with a big party for the nightclub and it was super busy but the service was STILL top notch and didnt wait for a thing! Everyone was on it. The show is absolutely incredible and i cant believe the talent thats hidden here!!! Everyone is so nice and sexy. Alexis was phenomenal. She made us feel like family. Will definitely back.“
“I don't know why it's been so long since we have dined at Sycamore. The meal was great. In the 4.5 star range. We all had chicken thighs with couscous. Yum. We started with their outstanding focaccia then roasted carrots. A sycamore salad before the mains. Try the sycamore Negroni! I enjoy the size and atmosphere of the restaurant. We need to make an effort to put it into regular rotation.“
“The kitchen lost my order and the employee who brought it out to me came with a free meal voucher and a heartfelt apology for what went wrong, even acknowledging how much we're paying for the food. That really impressed me, and she made me feel important and cared about as a patron. North Star consistently has exceptional service and will always have my business!“
“Been coming here for years, this is one of my favorite locations to just grab a beer in Columbus. The atmosphere has always been chill (even when the place is full) and the staff are always friendly, helpful, and attentive.Beer and grub is solid if not standout, and they get new things on tap very regularly.I recommend the place!“
“Stopped in to get a bite to eat, I paid with my debit card, then went to my car to get cash to tip the bartender, I gave her a 20 for change, then I think I gave her my other 20 forgetting I gave her the 1st one. Anyways she either got a nice a$$ tip or my 20 did a magic trick and disappeared ? I shouldn't have been in there Anyways because I don't drink anymore, I was hungry, I drank Mt. Dew. Needless to say whomever took my money or found it whatever I hope u have the day u deserve/year. Good Day!!! Other then that it was nice ? scandalous a$$ Westside for ya!!!“
“A very nice eclectic spot in Clintonville. I don’t do many grass fed restaurants, but this one is very good, but their specialties are pizzas. I will go back. Very busy Friday night because of happy hour. Might be a good spot if you don’t want during buckeye game crowds since they only have one tv. Great service, Michelle the manager was attentive and provided great suggestions during my first visit. Rosie Burger, Fried Yardbird or Harvest Burger. We also got a take out order of their pasta!“
“The staff are so nice! They even gave free (large) samples of their different kinds of rice. The lamb is amazing!!! The black tea and coffee are also so good!! The tea is a very well spiced blend and nice and strong. Their coffee is really good and they steam the milk even in regular coffee. It’s so much better than any other coffee you can get in the United States. It reminded me of coffee in Spain. Would recommend for a meal or just to stop in to get a cheap coffee that tastes better than a Starbucks latte. Gotta love the adorable hole in the wall vibeParking: Small lot shared with the gas station“
“Went to Fat Baxter's for the first time and loved it! We got three appetizers, the pretzel bites, Baxter Balls and Slut Tots, and they were all delicious! For entrées, I got a cheeseburger and my partner got wings. We brought home a lot of it, the portions are very generous. Parking was easy, with plenty of off-street parking spots. The service was fast and accurate! They accept all major credit cards. The general feel of this bar/grill is like "local meetup." I feel like the the staff knew a lot of the other customers, and there were regulars. Very fun atmosphere! This place is also very affordable, we would've spent so much more for this much food in Short North! We'll definitely go back!“
“We went on a Saturday morning and the donut counter was Really Busy! We were able to seat ourselves right away and had service within just a few minutes. The coffee was great!! I ordered the French Toast and my husband got the burrito, smothered in sausage gravy. My french toast was good, but a little doughy. I like mine a little more done. My husband said the burrito and gravy were good. He also ordered a side of homefries and for the price, he definitely didn't get a large enough portion. He said they were good, a lot of garlic! Over all it was good, not great. A little expensive for breakfast. We ordered donuts on the way out and again good, but nothing I have to make a special trip back for.“
“Malaya was our waitress and couldn’t ask for better service. I didn’t have my email for free chips and queso but she still honored it. We asked for a specific game by our table and she made it happen. Atmosphere is fun and friendly and you couldn’t possibly miss any sport game here with all the TVs. Food was a banger! Get the billionaire bacon burger. All drafts come out in a chilled glass. Couldn’t ask for a better place to hangout with an old friend and watch a game. I’ll definitely come back!“
“I LOVE this place. It also has meaning to us as we celebrated our engagement with their best cake (in my opinion) Fudgey Wudgey! We decided to have that cake for our elopement a year later. There was a little miscommunication with the cake and when I expressed that to Lisa, she went above and beyond to correct it. This restaurant values their customers and I can’t recommend it enough. 10/10 all around.“
“Chelsea did such a great job not only serving us but making our visit a blast. Oh, the food?!? So good. Hubby had sloppy seconds and mama had walk of shame. No lying about the sausage, really great quality. Would recommend all day, every day. Fun, young happy crowd. Will stop again when we are in C-bus again!!! Thank you Chelsea for a perfect start to the day!Parking: It was a little tough but hey, we are from out of town!“
“Gotta say, I love a good small diner. To my knowledge it's not a chain and it has really great staff and good decor. The food is really good and worth every penny. Highly recommended.Vegetarian options: They're ot focused on vegetarian dishes. But I've been able to make do. Food is really good.Parking: If there's not a spot in front of the diner there should be somewhere close by with a small walk. No worries.“
“There are a few places in German Village which can be someone's version of Cheers. This is ours. The food is spectacular and the servings are plentiful. Here you will find the tastiest burgers in the city. The draft beers are quality, the bartenders are great with a mixed drink. The original art on the wall is for sale and changes monthly, but everything else stays the same. The reason to go to the Mohawk is the atmosphere and the service. You will recognize the regulars after a while, and everyone in the restaurant will get to know you. When the servers ask you if you want your regular drink, or have half of your order written down by the time they ask if you know what you want, because they know what you'll order, you know your in a special place. That's the type of place the Mohawk is. It's the place where the tables are close enough that there are no strangers and your neighbor may engage you in conversation. The type of place where someone may buy you a drink or a meal after a great chat. It's the type of place that you go to when you want to feel the pulse of a neighborhood, and always feel welcomed.“
“I started coming on Thursdays with friends for trivia and this place quickly became a main stay for us. Greatly priced drinks and food, amazing bartenders who get to know you, and an inviting atmosphere. As far as dive bars go, I am very happy with this place and would highly recommend!“
“I have to give this place five stars on the service alone, and the food was just as great! We were here for restaurant week, and while I thought I had made the reservation for Friday night, we arrived and it had actually been made for Saturday. We were so apologetic and were going to leave, but the staff literally made space for us that night anyways! So kind and the food was incredible.“
“First time dining and we enjoyed everything. We had a reservation and our table was ready when we arrived. Service was fantastic! Everyone enjoyed cocktails and wine. The non alcoholic Manhattan was a little disappointing - too fruity with a hint of licorice. We ordered the pork belly and cornbread as apps. For dinner, we had the farro dish, gumbo, chicken sandwich, steak, and she crab soup. Everything was full of flavor and I would highly recommend all of them. For dessert we had the creme brulee and chocolate bread pudding. Happy hour prices were a plus for the items ordered before 6. Will come back.“
“Didn't know that the sale several years ago didn't go through...was excited to learn that it was still open. Went there for the first time since. Great food and quality, just as I remembered. Now for the issues with our service. Although our waitress was nice...we put our drink and food order in at the same time because we had already decided what we wanted. In the roughly 15 minutes (maybe longer), our waitress went to the bathroom, got herself something to drink, was doing who knows what else in between....I had to approach her, tell her she still hadn't gotten us our drinks and she made up some excuse about silverware to cover for the fact that she hadn't gotten our drinks. She was nice and fairly on top of things after that....Parking: Very small lot, aisles (or traveling lanes) in parking lot are narrow and corners are tight to maneuver, but that's common in several places in the area.“
“Amazing experience here! We sat at the bar and the food was flavorful, and lively. Sean served us creative, complex cocktails. I mean truly memorable. Think you've had a good mojito? Try one here. Seriously, any of Sean's creations will engage flavors in a rare and elevated way. I don't think I've had a better cocktail experience.“
“I had heard about Pat & Gracie’s and finally tried it. When we got there, it was hoppin’! So we found seats at the bar and ordered a drink. They have some creative cocktails. A table came open quickly. The owner/manager escorted to a table (the hostess didn’t want us to have that table). But it was more comfortable. Our server was excellent! He was super attentive! We had the house made tater tots, which came with a garlic aioli. Very tasty. Then my husband had a bacon cheeseburger with mac and cheese. He loved the burger. He said the Mac and cheese sauce was a little thin and bland, but he added some salt and really liked it. I had the Roasted Chicken Salad with house made honey mustard dressing—very good! We also took home a piece of peanut butter pie to share. This was a good dinner out spur of the moment. On the back of their menu, there is a story about how the restaurant was named. Nice story.“
