“I started working in the area about 6 months ago and I love mom and pop diners for lunch. Since I have visited Scotty's Cafe I have been eating lunch here every day (literally 5 days a week), you can't beat the atmosphere the food is amazing and the owners are definitely one of a kind. Gina and Scotty make you feel like one of the family,the staff is amazing,and you always look forward to your next visit. Definitely a 10 out of 10 every visit.“

First of all, the food could be terrible but we’d still come back because the wait staff is so personable and friendly. But the food is also always amazing so that is a perk! It doesn’t matter who our waiter is they all seem to meander over to say hi. Always so attentive and genuinely seem like they’re happy to be at work. I can’t wait until our next visit.“

“We had a large group (10 people) go in for brunch today. I rarely leave my house due to health reasons. This was a very lovely, relaxing time. The food was delicious and service was great. Thank you very much!“

“I just wanted to offer some serious compliments to this waffle House staff today! First, our waitress, Brenda was very kind and attentive. Second, I just want to complement the overall ambience and workflow of this restaurant. We have visited other Waffle House restaurants in the Columbus area and they’re all great; however, I feel like this one really gives you the true Waffle House experience: They are yelling orders, they are prepping for the next shift and it just was awesome to see how well they worked as a team. We had the honor of sitting at a booth near the coffee and tea area, and the manager on shift was training a new chef. Her patience, explanations, and support to this new associate was something that I wish all managers could possess. In the 5 to 10 minutes that we got to see her lead her team in that manner, I was really pleased! I did not get her name, though. The last thing that made this particular visit so great was that the chef, JJ, came over to see how our food was. Let me tell Let me tell you: the chicken breast is unreal. It is so juicy and flavored in seasoned to perfection. I know Waffle House specializes in breakfast meats, but this chicken is an awesome addition! This restaurant nailed it. Overall, we have a few Waffle House locations to pick from near our house, but whenever we want Waffle House again, we will go out of our way to go to this location!“

The customer service is above and beyond, like nothing you’ve ever seen before, they are super friendly and treat you like you’re a guest in their home. They have a question of the day you answer it and the answer and table number is called out and that’s when you know your order is ready. They make it fun! Their cinnamon biscuits are out of this world. I’m from NJ so biscuits to me are not my thing until I had these and the Manager Mike is super cool, humble and awesome! You can tell he treats his employees with the utmost respect because every single employee was amazing, friendly, down to earth it was a wonderful start of our day!“

“Self service restaurants are the best. No more waiting for waiting staff. Super fast service. User interface is nice and clean. Food is amazing and good portion size. Place is nice and clean. Plenty of personal space to chat within the family instead of the waiting staff. Highly recommend. Other restaurants should follow suite. And not just because of Covid. This is the future. Waiters should go to coding school instead of struggling with tables. It’s just better for everyone. I mean, I got my water when I wanted it! Is that too much to ask? LOL“

“Saw this old school looking diner as we were passing, and decided to go back and try their breakfast. Visually, there is a lot going on in here, as there should be. This family owned restaurant has been around for 40 years, so there is a lot of history represented here.

When we walked in, we were the only people in the place, so service was quick. We spent a fair amount of time talking to the owner, who was very friendly and willing to share his family's story with us. I loved that the cook (also family I'm sure, but I didn't ask) was at the grill, which was in full view of our table. It was like watching my mother cook when I was a kid, and it tasted the same way. Our Buckeye Brutus Breakfasts were hot and delicious. Nothing fancy, but that's what was so great about it. A classic breakfast that totally hit the spot. When we were done, the owner offered us to go coffees for the ride home, which was very much appreciated since we were driving back to Wisconsin.

Plus, we have two autistic boys, and they always show their appreciation with patience.

“Today's meal was very good. Hot, fresh, tasty, served quickly. I had the Big Steak omlet and it was a large meal (I took half home and was still full) and well prepared. This was my second visit in the last 6 months and the prior visit the food was lukewarm like it had sat for a little bit before being picked up by the server. I'll have to visit again, and if the next meal is as good as the last, I'll update to 5 stars.“
