I got my order in less than 10 minutes. I got the salad boy, fish sandwich, onion rings & fried zucchini. Everything was perfect! Very fresh, tasted great and nothing was missing. I am very pleased. “I have been to Thurmans many times and always had a burger since that's what they are known for but this time I ventured out into unknown territory hoping the rest of the food was just as good and I was not disappointed at all. I tried their crispy chicken sandwich this time and it was crispy on the outside, juicy in the inside and HUGE! It's not that vegetarian but they have a lot of meat dishes and not too much in total vegetarianism at least that I could find. I did order a super salad base with chicken and the chicken was pretty dry but the problem I had with it was the chicken in the bowl was just too much compared to the salad part of it and the other problem was all their sauces are like mayonnaise based I'm not sure that they have mayonnaise in them but I'm trying to say that they are that consistency. I would rather have some liquid salad dressing to cut down on the fats. Except for somewhat dry chicken the food was very good cost me $12 The bowl was a good size I almost couldn't eat it and I do feel like I've got enough food in me to go all day.“

The service mainly paid attention on the groups. My servers did apologize for less attention and told me my food would be ready patiently. The room temperature was a little cold, which made the food cool down quickly. Their burgers came with two cheesy patties. I ordered the chimi burger. The chimichurri sauce neutralized the oil and improved the burger taste. The hot dogs were perfectly fried that the dough was crispy on the outside and perfectly chewy with the melted cheese. Then the savory beef hot dog at the end half was a delicious combination! The tteokbokki and fish cake was perfectly savory, spicy, and a hint of sweetness. The beef kimbap makes a perfect to go snack to have with you while you walk around (or for the car ride home). “Mac's Proper Pub has been on my radar for a few years because my best friend took me there to try the sauerkraut balls, and I've been going back to have them ever since then. Recently I discovered that they have a great happy hour which includes half off apps and specialty cocktails, so off I went to have a dinner of apps. My order included scotch eggs, fried brie, spinach and artichoke dip, chicken fingers, and of course the sauerkraut balls. The scotch eggs were tasty-- served cut in half with a dipping sauce, and they were better than any scotch eggs I've had in the past. Crispy and delicious, especially with the gluttonous cream cheese dip. The fried brie is also very tasty-- served with slices of toast and definitely not as stinky or strange as brie can often be, more palatable because it's fried with a crispy outside. This is a great 'intro fried brie' for those who it may be too strong for normally. The spinach and artichoke dip is yummy and served with interesting sliced curly-esque fries. I loved the fries I just wish there was a bit more dip so I wasn't left with so many extra fries and nothing to dip them in. The chicken fingers were pretty average. Not a whole lot to say about those and probably wouldn't order them again. I also wasn't a fan of the sauce they were served with. The sauerkraut balls did not disappoint as usual-- sauerkraut and sausage all wrapped together and served fried with ranch(?) to dip them in. I'm not crazy about the dipping sauce but the portion is pretty large-- it comes with 6 sauerkraut balls that take at least 2-3 bites to finish. The bar itself is long and slender with an incognito room with a pool table in the back that I just noticed on this trip, despite having been there many times before. I'll definitely be back to blow off some steam with a game of pool during happy hour soon.“
