“We are from Kentucky and were in Columbus for a concert. I’ve always wanted to try a place that has been featured on Triple D, and this was the best decision ever! High Bank exceeded all expectations! We left with a full belly and A bottle of whiskey to remember them by. Food was incredible. Service was incredible. “Had breakfast at Portside a few days ago. Total cost was around $13. I got an omelette with crumbled sausage which came with an order of toast. I also ordered a half order of biscuits and gravy. Everything was fantastic! And it was huge. We had a party of 11 guys and the service was amazing. This lady knew what she was doing! From what I could tell everyone was happy with their food. I saw people getting pancakes, omelettes, French toast, biscuits and gravy, etc. most of the bills were less than $10.“

The music was loud, and made it noisy. but luckily the tables aren't jammed together and the decor works to cut down reflective noise. It's at the base of the Le Meridien - which I didn't realize, but you wouldn't know you were in a Hotel Restaurant.“

“First and foremost, I’d like to thank Simon the bartender for making my first time at The Pearl an experience. Words can’t describe how great of a host he was. Simon recommended nothin but best drinks and food. He didn’t miss. First was N’Awlins Oysters were phenomenal and the Hanger Steak was out of this world! The pearl is a classic vibe with an upbeat aesthetic. If you’re thinking about going here, don’t second-guess it just go!!

I often come for their wood-fired pizza and house-made pasta, both full of authentic flavor that instantly take me back to evenings in Turin. “I've been to this location to enjoy dinner on multiple occasions. 85% of the time, the entire experience is fantastic, but my most recent experience left me wanting. Unfortunately, there were a number of issues tied to getting our bill correct, and then, adding insult to injury, I ended up going home with a considerable stomachache. Fortunately, it didn't end up being any worse than that, but let's just say I had some concerns on that drive. 😬 but besides that, the food was very tasty, came out quickly, and I believe was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who comprised the party - being made up of eight people. That is another point: this location can accommodate larger groups as well as smaller groups. Also, I strongly recommend the chocolate chip cookie 🍪 , which I know couldn't have been the culprit of my stomachache, because I saved it to enjoy at a later time. In fact, the chocolate chip cookie is one of the primary reasons why I'm excited to go to Northstar whenever it comes up as a dining option! The homemade ginger ale and kombucha are favorites of mine, as well as the North Star Burger - and that is coming coming from somebody who is a meat-eater most of the time! Enjoy!“

Firebirds New Albany is a great addition to New Albany and we look forward to being regulars!“

“Have been wanting to try this place forever and finally made it in today with my best friend, what a disappointment. Their posted hours show open till 2:30 pm, we arrived at 1:50 (plenty of time for some pancakes and coffee.) The weight staff was in full on cleanup mode and made it Very obvious they were done working for the day with the way we were greeted. I ordered decaf coffee and was told there was none left so decided to have regular and then didn't even get a full cup of that. At $4.99 a pop I need a full cup. I looked at my friend and said "they don't want to wait on us they are annoyed that they are already cleaning up and we came in" she agreed so when the server came back I politely said "we will just elsewhere we can tell you're cleaning up for the day" There was no "oh you are fine, you still have 40 minutes" or anything like that there just " are you sure?" We left and headed down the street to Delaney's Diner who would also be closing in about an hour at 3 PM but a TOTALLY different vibe. Greeted with a smile from the person at the hostess stand and 2 of the chefs even looked over and smiled and said welcome come on in! We looked at each other and said much better, we are definitely in the right place now. I've heard nothing but good things about the pancakes at the Pancake House I only wish I would have got to experience them But being treated well is more important to me than food. I understand wanting to be done work for the day believe me but it wasn't like we walked in with 3 minutes till closing. Oh well 🤷‍♀️“

“Solid place. Brunch was very good. Mimosa, fresh OJ, and smoothie bowl were good starters.
Deluxe biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs was quite a different take, but a bit spicy and tasty.
Deluxe egg sandwich was solid choice but a bit more plain and standard. Sunrise burrito with pork sausage was very good and definitely a whole meal in one wrapper.
Counter service with table delivery. Newer decor and friendly staff to go with the great food. Inside or outdoor dining options.

“The jalapeño corn bread and honey butter is out of this world and the pork chop was insanely delicious and juicy! The mixed veggies were sadly over-seasoned with curry and were inedible. But the mashed potatoes made up for it and the bourbon Demi glace was the perfect gravy for both. The noise level was from the street and not the responsibility of the restaurant but was still an issue.“

“Great food, lots of fine dinners to choose from. Their bison steak is the best I've had anywhere! I had some garlic mashed potatoes and steamed carrots with that and some lemonade. I've dined in this place before, ate bison burgers but this time I opted for their bison filet steak, and it was delicious. The whole meal was. Facilities are clean, now with soap dispensers placed around for your convenience. I hadn't been to this area since Covid hit and that has changed everything but I'm happy this restaurant is still in business. I came to eat there because I wanted to eat a fine meal before seeing the German band Kraftwerk that evening. The waitress was very quick in serving the food and very friendly. Sure, the dinners may be more expensive and there's not many restaurants in the Nationwide Arena area now, but why not go for something unique and special to add to your fun day? I have eaten here before and after attending events such as hockey games, Phil Collins, Bruce Springsteen, RUSH, (Jeff Lynne's) ELO, Adam Ant, Noel Gallagher and more throughout the Arena District. I'm glad this place is still around after all that's occurred during the past few years, and I highly recommend it to anyone who attends any event in the Arena District. It's as good as it ever was, maybe better. Food, service, atmosphere, cleanliness - ***** out of five. I will certainly eat at this place again, just as I have at previous times. Kudos! 😋🙂😇“
