“My husband and I wanted something new for my birthday dinner so we decided to try the Wooden Shoe since we heard how great it was. We had the sauerkraut balls to start and they were magnificent. We shared the Cod and the Ribeye...Mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes. Everything was excellent. Best meal we've had since moving to the area. Finished our meal with the locally made cheesecake. Delicious. We will be back. New changes are happening in a couple of weeks. Excited to see what they are!“

“I recently dined at this restaurant, and here's my take on the meal and service.
​I ordered the Marinated Pork Chops (5/10). They were generously sized and about an inch thick. Cooked on an open flame, they had a wonderful flavor, but unfortunately, they were slightly overcooked. The edges were too hard to eat. It seemed like they were cooked too fast, which was a real shame.
​The Chili (9/10), however, was a completely different story. It was outstanding—so good that I would honestly rank it in my top 10 list.
​The Baked Potato (3/10) was a letdown. It was very undercooked and hard, and I wouldn't recommend it at all.
​For a side, I also had a Salad. It was exactly what you'd hope for: fresh, cold, and served in a chilled bowl. The cold bowl was a big plus!
​As for the service, there was only one server and one bartender working, but the server was absolutely incredible. Even with a busy room of 22-23 people, she managed to keep everything running smoothly and was a pleasure to interact with.“
