“My family are new to the area about 3yrs now, and the most exciting has been trying a lot of local places to find the best. Best taste, best value, best service. You know what I mean. I'm happy to say my family and I found our favorite!!! We ordered from all over the menu. I have a family of 6 all with varying tastes so it's easy to do lol. Right out the gate we loved the selections. Everything that my family typically gravitates around was right there so that was encouraging. I grew up on authentic Mexican food, and let me tell you I couldn't believe what I was tasting. My grandmother would have given this place a thumbs up just off the rice and beans lol. Pepe and his family have surely put their souls into this place. If you haven't stopped in your cheating yourself out of some great food. We're all headed back in a couple days to try something else. “This is a cash only establishment that does a few things really well. I ordered pork and cheese/jalapeno tamales and they are delicious. The green sauce has a good spice and if I had any complaint it is that the to-go cup is small because I could cover my whole meal with that sauce. I have not found a better tamale place in the area. The tamale plate was $10 plus tax.“

There is a variety of items on the menu, both breakfast and lunch/dinner plates. There is a charge to use a card, so bring cash. The place is small and can get crowded but service is fast and the tables are quickly turned over/cleaned.

We ordered barbacoa, carnitas, pollo, and al pastor tacos. The barbacoa was good, I suspect made with chuck roast and I personally prefer cheek meat or goat. It was good but not great. The pollo was seasoned well and was good. The carnitas was the best of the meats. Very tender and flavorful. The Al pastor had a good smokiness and flavor.

They have a salsa bar where you can serve yourself. The salsa verde is great. They also have limes and escabeche— this alone makes this place worth a stop. When you add the serve yourself aquas frescas, it earns a solid five star. I tried Jamaica, melón, and Piña. All were good and not too sweet or syrupy. The melón was the best of the three.

Our tacos came with a roasted Serrano that was perfectly spicy. I will definitely come back and explore more of the menu!“

“First time at the location on Western. Was never a big fan of Ted's but it seems to be better now. The food was good, the service was great, but the drinks were not that good. I had a regular Margarita. It tasted like 7-Up. The other drink was a Blackberry Margarita. It was bitter. Our waiter did gets us a shot of simple syrup and that helped a lot.“

“Best truck in OKC greater metro. I’m from LA and had many many taco trucks.. I’ve tried many here in OKC and this one had it all! I always order a burrito. Perfect tortilla, carne asada is well seasoned chopped finely and tender, perfect balanced or beans and rice. Portion size is fair. Price is cheaper than other trucks. Their Salsa is delicious and not too spicy. Comes with lime and pickled carrots. 10/10 for me. My only wish is that they had somewhere to sit AND I wish they had a 2nd truck closer to the NW side of the city. I have to drive 30 mins to enjoy this food.“

This place has the best bistec tacos! The meat is so flavorful! We also tried the chicken quesadilla which was delicious! They have a variety of aguas frescas like horchata, jamaica (habiscus) , melón (cantaloupe) , tamarindo (tamarind) and piña (pineapple). The best part is they have free refills on the waters!! The atmosphere is great and very nice people!“

“My daughter and I found the food to be tasteless. The waitress stated there was a new cook and he may not have been trained properly. The rice wasn't done, again, no taste regardless. The waitress also stated she would take off half but in the end did not. They didn't give my daughter her receipt. It's a shame as roommate has raved about this place forever. We won't return. My wife and I can eat here for less than $15-20 and be stuffed.The Barbacoa and chicken is our favorite, but would recommend trying it all. Also would recommend trying one of their drinks, the grape and the horchata are my personal favorite.We order through DoorDash frequently, but the inside has lots of seating and has always been very clean when I go in.“
