Offering free family meals to those facing hardships isn’t just generosity, it’s kindness in action, and it means more than words can express. The food is made with care, but what truly nourishes you is the love behind it. Walking in, you’re not treated like a number or a handout. You’re treated like family. The staff greets you with warmth and dignity, reminding you that there’s still so much good in the world. What The Kitchen is doing reaches far beyond a meal. They’re feeding hope. In times when many are struggling silently, their doors are open and their hearts are even wider. “Today mom and I tried The Greene Room, a spot that recently popped up on my FB feed. Holy Moly this place took me back to Alabama with the true, homemade Soul Food. We both got Chicken & Dressing with an assortment of sides and all were excellent! I have more than enough for lunch tomorrow too! This is the first time in my 9 years here that a place has taken me home. Definitely give it a try!“
