I haven't been to the Bistro, per se, but rather the hotel bar. It's been a couple of years since my last visit, and I must say that the remodel is pretty sweet. The upgrades and bright, open space is a definite improvement from its former, outdated look. Wait, the owner spent a ton of dough for the remodel, but didn't put a sound system around the bar? I love the chicken and waffles served here, and the roasted sweet potatoes are pure heaven. (Not too sweet, either -- I hate it when a cook over-sweetens.) All you can eat buffet your thing? Go for the two eat for 20 bucks deal. Soul food lovers, unite!
