“I got the burrito wet meal with steak and the first thing I noticed was the weight of it. They provided the plastic ware and salsas in the bag. I was able to cut the steak with the plastic knife without problem. Pleasantly surprised, the taste was also a testament to the quality of the ingredients used. I don’t usually stop at food trucks but after using Google maps and their restaurant recommendations, I gave it a go. Not disappointed and neither will you be.“

I came with a friend on Tuesday (had the Hawaiian Quesadilla), recommended to some friends who came Wednesday (and loved it) and brought my husband for dinner today (I had the chicken chimichanga and he had steak quesadilla and lava cake for dessert)). I got asada tacos which were pretty good, didn’t care for the carrots but it’s personal preference ??‍♀️ Their green sauce was great and their limes were juicy ? only recommendation is to cook the asada a little less as it dried out a bit and pick a better location.“

“After a long night at the Kat Williams show four of us stopped in to get tacos at 1am. We were so glad this truck was open. The tacos where good they were served with radishes and taco sauce. The asada and pastor was good. The outside taco shells were over cooked and hard.I just tossed the first corn tortilla off the rest was great.“

The quality seems to differ from one day to another.Before Taco Loco took over this spot there was another operator named "Dollar Tacos" or Something similar.I used to drive a long distance to come and enjoy their Tortas. Prices were very affordable "$5" and you also get some goodies on the side.I was very disappointed at first when I saw that they have been replaced by "Taco Loco" the prices are way more, "$7" for a torta and you don't get nothing else but a tinny container of green sause.The Cicken Torta was not that bad but the sauce could've been better. It was runny and tasted like it was either missing some ingredients or too much water was added to it.The wait was not long at all and the lady that took my order was nice. The area in the front was kept clean but the back looked like it could use some cleaning.Another thing I dislike about most these Taco Trucks is that very few of them take cards.“

Right out the gate we loved the selections. Everything that my family typically gravitates around was right there so that was encouraging. “I went to the location that's in the 7-Eleven at Memorial and Rockwell. The person working seemed very knowledgeable of the menu. I tried the Carnitas Bravas in a taco w/fresh cilantro and onion and the Picadillo w/queso in a bowl. I would have tried the enchiladas but the pan looked like it been there awhile. It was just a bit after 11:00am. The tortillas are rolled out and cooked fresh in front of you for the tacos. I wasn't asked a size for the taco so not sure if it was their version of a street taco but it was definitely bigger than what you would get from a traditional taco truck. Everything I tried was good. The salsa bar included pico, cilantro, 3 different salsas, fresh lime wedges and little cups to package. I will go back and try a few different things. I see they have breakfast toetas that sounded pretty good.“

“I keep telling people that this is the BEST breakfast burrito in the city, hands down. It's a home in the wall type of place, with no frills, so you know the food is gonna be outstanding! I love that they're open until 11pm so if I'm in need of a late night breffis burrito, El Rey provides!!“
