“What is there not to love about Dead Armadillo? I was introduced to this little gem through my rescue (Oklahoma Pet Collective Society) which DA helps support. I admit, I typically hate beer. The only beer drink I’ve EVER actually liked came from DA; it’s their pickle beer (literally so good) mixed with a special Bloody Mary mix. Out of this world. The outside back garden/dog park area is the best in Tulsa. This is a really great little place to just chill and relax and have some fun with friends and family, including the furry members.“

“Great Ground Beef Nachos! 🩷 I wasn't feeling well and my husband drove to pick-me-up some Nachos (my comfort food preference) This was my first experience with this restaurant and I can happily say I was NOT disappointed. I happily ate them in bed whilst watching telly. Perfect if you're not feeling well. We'll be eating here again. The drive-thru is definitely for us. Easy-Peasy!! “Passing through Owasso, and stumbling upon this foodery was pleasantly surprised. I had my non-service dog with me, so decided to order to go with dog waiting in entrance area. Service was impressive with manager directly taking care of my situation. Food was exceptional -- I ordered fish tacos which was an easy to go lunch -- and very pleased. Only drawback was, sauce was made with canned tomatoes not fresh. Otherwise, I will return and happily try other dishes.“

“First time ever eating here, menu prices are about average but was happy with the portion sizes given. Ordered takeout and still had good weight to it.

Person who took our order was very nice, food was done in less then 10 minutes. They have lunch specials also. Plenty of sauce was with the order for the meat and vegetables. Can choose white rice, egg rice or fried rice for order. On the menu above had at least 10 items listed, paper menu had many more options on it.

There isn't a drive through for here, the location of this place can be easy to miss, but it was worth the drive.“

“So we had a bit of an odd experience. The building houses several businesses, and one of them caught fire, so we were evacuated. We waited outside for about an hour. Just before we were evacuated. I had received a salad and a Bloody Mary. When we came back in, the salad was room temp and no longer crispy, and my drink was watered down. I assumed we would be offered new drinks or salads, but nothing was offered, and no discounts were offered. The fire was not their fault, but we were told that the guy that owns this restaurant owns the building. So, in essence, there is some responsibility there. For the amount of money I am paying for drinks and a salad, I think they could have taken a hit on replacing those items. The food is great, but if you have been here, you know you are dropping a few hundred dollars. If you are going to ask very high prices, the service needs to be top notch. As for updates, I felt that the room was too dark. I get the need for ambiance, but it felt like the bat cave.“

“Great BBQ Spot! I got the 4 meat combo as it was only $18.99 and it was more meat that I could handle in one sitting! The portions and sides are very large and the meals come with free cobbler. The night we went they also had a gentlemen playing guitar and singing. Highly recommended!“

“My wife and I went to this place after we went shopping at the farmers market. We ordered the Chilaquiles and the Mexican spiced French toast. I took my first bite of the French toast and I literally cried tears. I am not even a sweets person in the morning but the flavor’s exploded in my mouth. So amazing! The chilaquiles were authentic and AMAZING! The chorizo was perfect and the homemade horchata and lemonade was super. The staff are all very warm and friendly and I will definitely be back to support this restaurant. Thank you for one of the best cultural food experiences in Tulsa.“

“Chicken fried chicken, white gravy, macaroni and cheese, meatloaf, baked beans with beef, french fries, dressing with gravy, and cornbread. we can't forget the pork chops! Great portions, leftovers included. $58 comfortably fed my family of 4. Parents paid, children approved!! Literally, Sweet Lisa's gave my husband the itis!! “Omg I LOVE this place .... And I miss this place soooooooo much!!! Whenever we are in Tulsa we always, ALWAYS stop by here to get food to take home before leaving town! I've been eating here for over 20 years (I graduated high school in 2001 and have been coming here since then) and everything still tastes exactly the same as it did the first time I came. For years I stuck with either the Taco Plate, Quesadilla Plate or the Torta. My kids are all obsessed with the Torta's. Today we finally added a couple of new (to us, not to the menu) things and fell in love all over again! As well as our usual order of Tortas we picked up a couple of the Tamales to try, so far we have only had the pork as that is what they had, but we definitely plan on getting the others to try at some point! Finally! Good Tamales that are made with the white corn masa and NOT that gritty yellow stuff with the overly corn flavor that everyone seems to think is usual here in Stillwater. When I learned to make them from my ex husbands family (originally from the state of Querétaro, Mexico), they always used the white corn masa and not the other stuff. I also ordered one of the Gordita's for the first time. I only got one because they seemed a bit pricey, at the time, but my opinion changed once we got home and opened it. That thing was as big as a burger! I was shocked. It was easily twice the size of anything I am used to getting anywhere else, even in Tulsa. It was excellent! We ended up splitting it 3 ways as well as the Tamales and we all agree that we will most definitely be ordering both again! I really should have thought to take pics to add, I will try and remember next time. That is the highest praise I can personally give though, that everything was so good we didn't even think about pictures until later. We all still have at least half of our Tortas left in the fridge for supper tomorrow night (they are truly massive in size, the biggest I have come across personally), but they wouldn't look pretty for pics now lol.

All in all, this place STILL makes the absolute BEST Tortas we have ever had and we have tried every single place in Stillwater and most of the places in Tulsa over time. Not only are they massive, they are stuffed full of everything and taste amazing but even the bread on its own is excellent! One easily makes 2 meals for most people. I hope they never change!“

“Was at your restaurant Saturday evening. Had 2 caramelized fig Old Fashions (why 2? - because they were that good!) I could not decide what to have for my meal and ended up getting two appetizer options, the deep-fried brie and the fried fish tacos. The taco's were good, however, I was a tad disappointed in the brie because it tasked like it had been fried in the same oil the fish was fried in. I will try again.🫤“

“I used to go here all the time for breakfast and lunch and brunch. I wish they would bring it all back, because it was good quality food. Occasionally, I come by on Pie Night for their Mile High Chocolate Cream pie. I stopped by this morning before work to see if they still had their premade breakfast english muffin with scrambled eggs, bacon, spinach and cheddar chess. They did and it was still so good.“

“The cocktails and food are fantastic!!! Service is a little slow, but friendly. Our fortune cookie was basically an advertisement for Philbrook Museum, no fun fortune or lucky numbers in it. My friends fortune cookie had a hair in it and the ink from the advertisement in it (fortune) had bled over into the cookie on both of ours.

“Grilled fish tacos are amazing! Like the ones I used to get on the west coast. Huge burritos. They're my kids favorite. My mom lost her teeth but the asada is so tender she loves it in the Ranchero platter. Used to drive to Tulsa for one of the other trucks. This is our favorite now.“
