My first time there was yesterday.
We were treated wonderfully, the restaurant was spotless and bright.

The bad reviews are from people who grew up eating at strip center “Mexican” restaurants with refried beans out of a can for $10. That’s what they are used to. This is an outstanding higher end place. Our food has always been outstanding. Tonight we ordered our regular dinner plus a pan of enchiladas to go. They have definitely improved their food and customer service at this location over the Dallas Tollway location. We now drive from Bentonville, AR just to eat TexMex here like we were used having when we lived in Dallas. The salsa is roasted and my favorite. The fresh flour tortillas are made in-house. What’s not to love!? It is NOT the flavor profile of the typical strip center El Chico you find on every street corner. It’s elevated and much better quality.
