Wendy's in Ajax

“Two Saturdays ago, I was in Ajax. I hadn't been to Wendy's for a while and thought that grabbing takeout for dinner before heading home would be great.

I did a search and found this Wendy's location close by. It's across the street from Jollibee. It also made me think that I should visit Jollibee soon, as I haven't for a couple of months.

I ordered the following items:
- Junior cheeseburger deluxe
- Six-piece homestyle French toast sticks
- Bacon cheese baked potato

The junior cheeseburger deluxe was free with a minimum $5 purchase. I easily hit the minimum.

I placed my order through the Wendy's app. It was straightforward and easy. Order. Pay. Drive over to the eatery.

I went through the drive-thru to pick up my order. It's a weird design. The Wendy's drive-thru runs parallel to the Tim Horton's one, which is on the right. I first thought that it was a regular lane for Wendy's to leave the parking lot on the right. Nope, it's for the Timmy's drive-thru.

What's crazy is that the entrance-exit door for Wendy's is in front of the drive-thru lanes. It means trying not to run over customers leaving or entering Wendy's when you leave the drive-thru. I saw a customer dart out of Wendy's while I was waiting at the pickup window for my order. Customers also need to exercise caution, too.

I got to the order area. I let the woman on the other end know that I was picking up an order under my name. She found it and said that I could approach the pickup window.

There were a couple of vehicles ahead of me. It was nice to take a breather from driving and look around. It's how I figured out that this Wendy's is a combo store with Tim Hortons.

I got the same friendly woman who handed my food to me. I thanked her, put my food in an insulated bag, and drove home. This restaurant is close to the 401, so I took it into Scarborough and then headed north home.

My food was still warm in my bag when I got home. I was ready for dinner.

I love the French toast sticks. I love French toast and had a sad slice of it earlier at IHOP. The sticks made up for everything. They were so good. I dipped each one in the warm syrup. Yummy!

I love baked potatoes at Wendy's. The bacon cheese baked potato was excellent. It was filling. It has lots of cheese, bacon, and chives. It was delicious.

I had my junior cheeseburger deluxe. It was my first time having it. It had a large piece of lettuce hanging out of the bun. It made my day.

This burger has cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, ketchup, and mayonnaise on a toasted bun. It was the perfect size. I should get it more often. It was the perfect little cheeseburger.

I had a decent experience. I'd return here for more good eats when I'm in the area and am not hanging out at Jollibee.“
