“We went to Lakeview to see what it was like as we usually go to Rhinos next door it was such a lovely experience in every way. The food was reasonably priced, delicious and made with love. Anita was an absolute joy and the atmosphere was lovely. Very nice and can't wait to go back for the butter chicken which is served after 4pm. So lovely to see a family business run so well and they obviously love what they do.”

“My boyfriend and I have came to this cat cafe multiple times. Each time we came they provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They have amazing quality food and drink items. Their ice lattes are to die for.

They make excellent food items. My boyfriend and I had a grilled pickle grilled cheese, it was the best grilled cheese that I’ve ever had! They have great portions and delicious lunch foods.

The front area and the cat rooms are very clean and hygienic. The staff take great pride on making sure that the cats are well care for and that the area is clean and tidy.

Each time that we have came to visit the cafe and cat area, each staff member are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to cats and the proper care. You can really tell that they are motivated to the providing great care to the cats within the cat rooms.”

“We came here from Toronto on a mini road trip, and were super excited to try the best butter tarts. We also ordered 4 other tarts, which I didn't realize until later were just mini pies (and not fruit flavoured butter tarts lol).

Tbh the tarts were just okay! The butter tarts definitely need to be eaten warmed (so much gooier) and all the other tarts tasted better warmed anyway. The butter tarts had a weird skin layer on top and the pastry tart itself wasn't for me personally, since I prefer flaky tarts. Out of the ones we got, the strawberry rhubarb tasted the best and had the best texture. The blueberry tart's filling was too thick and felt like I was biting into something congealed. The apple crumble had good flavour (I do love a good apple pie) but the apples were a bit dry and chunky.

Glad we gave this little home bakery a try but I've had better butter tarts in Toronto for sure!”

Millbrook isn’t big, which makes it even more impressive that a place like the Peddler can survive. Be aware that it’s a small place and won’t feel like other big restaurants. But for what it is, it is very good. (Wagyu steak and black garlic creamed potatoes were excellent).”

“Rey Ray’s was delicious! The owners were so kind and put out towels on the picnic table because it was raining and we were stopping in while on a road trip. We tried the Quesa-Birria, Healthy Fish, and Veggie tacos and the coleslaw. Each taco was so flavourful and tasty. The service was amazing and the staff were so kind.

Definitely worth a stop if you are in Port Hope or driving on the 401!”
