Great service and friendly
Best Halibut fish ‘n chips in eastern Ontario by a long shot! We have dinned in and take out as well for over 15 years and will drive the extra distance, larger portions than most today. Always cooked to perfection!
I’ve been coming to Cpt George’s for a few yrs now and I generally gave it a good review… however my recent visit surprised me on every level. Big prices, tiny portion ( a (fork full of coleslaw)… and the fish was super small. Now I’m aware everything on the planet is over priced and we know who to blame for that ! So in closing I’m not a big fan for the price and quantity. Jmo

Captain George's Fish & Chips offers the best halibut in town with friendly service and daily specials. The owner/cook definitely knows what they are doing in the kitchen, and the staff, including the pleasant and efficient waitresses, work hard to keep up with the large number of dine-in and takeout customers. While the portions have decreased in size and the prices have become quite expensive, the food quality remains good, with fresh and crisp batter, flavorful chicken, and a nice ambiance for a casual dining experience. Vegetarian options are limited, but the restaurant's focus on fish and chips, including a fresh-tasting and well-proportioned Greek salad, provides a satisfying meal for many customers.
