“Country Mart is a cute little convenience store and bakery in the Kawarthas. I have been searching for the best butter tart in Ontario — and they were invented here, so the best one in the province is probably the best one in the world. You can see my thoughts on other good butter tarts in my other reviews.

The butter tart at Country Mart is one of the best ones I've tried. What really stood out to me is the crust. It's thick, flaky, and very soft, much more than its counterparts from other bakeries. I much prefer the texture of this tart to the crusts of other butter tarts, so that significantly elevates the product here at Country Mart.

The filling is also good. It has a pleasant texture, solid but also gooey, and with a very slight burnt taste that is very addictive.

Overall I was very impressed, this unassuming bakery punches up with the best in Ontario. Congrats to the owner and staff on baking such an excellent tart!“

“We tried Brittany’s cookies at an event; my daughter said they were the best cookies she’s ever had and would not stop talking about them. So I hired Brittany to make cookies for my kid’s birthday party. Best choice ever! The cookies were beautiful and delicious. Everyone — kids and grown ups — devoured them. Would absolutely recommend Busy B, it was a great experience.“

“I ordered a cake for Mom's 105th birthday and gluten-free muffins to accommodate some dietary restrictions. The cake and muffins were ready as promised and looked fabulous. We fed 20 people sandwiches, cake and coffee at the party, and the cake was a big hit. Several local Peterborough residents noted the company name. I hope it generates more business for you because you did a great job. We will be back for 106.“

“Love this location. All of the food I have ever got from here is so well put together and delicious! I just got the chipotle chicken wrap, and the thing was the size of a large burrito. Fillings were well ratioed, and it was so good. The guy at the window and speaker was funny and pleasant. And they're so quick!
Honestly most other locations just throw their food together resulting in s sloppy, inedible mess...not this one! Thank you!“
