“The food here is very very good. I have eaten here twice in the last month. Once for lunch and once for dinner. For lunch, I had the Steak sandwich. I asked for medium well, and it was cooked to perfection. Really melt in your mouth steak. At the time I went for dinner, I had the chicken souvlaki salad. Amazing! It was really tasty, and very fresh. I believe this is their specialty. As a sidenote, the fries and gravy are out of this world. Best I’ve had anywhere. The service was very attentive and friendly. Not crowded at all. There was plenty of space inside for seating. Obviously, I would highly recommend this place for breakfast lunch or dinner.“

“Attended a friends graduation party here, and I was amazed by what a find this restaurant is! It's very spacious and decorated in a pretty but clean way.
THE FOOD is really what stands out, genuinely took me by surprise how delicious everything was. From the entrees to the main dishes everything was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant to friends and family looking to host dinner parties etc.“

“I got take out last night, rushing to eat before work (salad and chicken shawarma sandwich). It tasted odd... shortly after,, I called the location to tell them, something was off with the ingredients. I wasn't sure of it was the onions, turnips etc. something was left out too long perhaps... and today I am sick as a dog. I've eaten here before. I think they need better quality control on the food... especially being safely stored.. perhaps temperatures..etc“

“We had an amazing experience at Taline. We originally wanted to order two main dishes, but the maître d told us to go with one main dish and add a few appetizers, which was a great idea. All the dishes were flavourful and perfectly cooked. The service was also great.“

“I had the lentil soup and döner plate. The soup was perfect and reminded me of home. The döner and white rice were tasty but a bit greasy for my liking. I would prefer less fat on the döner and less butter on the rice, but they were still balanced and enjoyable. They provided a generous amount of sides with both dishes and even offered a complimentary glass of tea. I'm looking forward to trying more dishes and exploring their butchery section as well. “Eat here! Don't go anywhere else, as this is the best place. The food is delicious, authentic, fresh and better than you'd ever expect to find in a food court. In addition, the guys working there are super nice and helpful. Try the #4 falafel and sharma platter and get the chicken and beef combo. 10/10!

“Classic Halifax style Donair was really good, service was quick too making the whole experience good. Plus seating (though not a lot) for if you’re looking for a quick sit down meal, or just a quick on the go meal! 100% recommend, plus there’s pizza.

“The food at Christina's is both delicious and appetizingly presented and the waiter, Tommy, was attentive, capable of making menu alterations to cater to allergies, and has a wonderful sense of humour as he interacts with his patrons. We would gladly revisit this treasure on the Danforth for special occasions as well as for on-the-spur-of-the-moment as was the case today. Compliments galore!“

“I get the chicken skewer and beef skewer dinner plate with your choice from 2 rice options, potatoes and choice of 2 salads from multiple options. Probably 2.5 lbs of food for just under $19. I can get 2 big dinners from this option, with left over rice and salad. The skewers take a little longer to cook, but worth the wait. However, I don't see this menu option online. I always order and pick up in person. My favourite shawarma place to frequent!

“It was my first time visit to torronto and had very high expectations from shawarma like I had in India and am glad that I got what i was expecting with all fantastic staff and atmosphere there. I recommend everyone to go and visit there. I always have many instructions to prepare and thankfully staff was so calm and met all the instruction to prepare the food for me. Thankyou Lazeez!!

“The place was packed, but they tried very efficiently to accommodate. Staff very welcoming, smiling and try to help/please the customer. In particular we were impressed by the service and politeness shown by our Two servers, Hebun & Mete. Of course, one can not taste everything. We ordered a Platter that had combination of Meats, Vegetables, Grain Rice and Bread. Very tasty, enjoyed. They can make the Entrance more Clean and improve the Waiting Area.“

“I discovered Red and White when they first opened almost 20 years ago. Smart phones and google reviews werent even a thing lol. I lived in an apartment just down the street.. single guy so it was a quick fix for a great price.. feels like it was a different life lol.

The shawarma here, was hands down the best I've had in Toronto.. I think it was my first shawarma too.. this is the kind of meal you want and could eat daily. There was no getting tired of it, it was that good.

Since then, I've moved, had kids, started my own business.. i've had LOT'S of shawarma from all different restaurants from all nationalities hoping, praying even to find another shawarma that was close and ive had some almost as good, but I've yet to find a place that can put together such a delicious shawarma as you get here.

A lot has changed in almost two decades since I came across this place.. and as luck would have it, I was in the area the area this afternoon. imagine the excitement when I saw Red and White still there! It had changed owners though.. naturally I asked myself "will it be the same?" I rolled the dice, ordered a wrap with everything on it like i always did, and AMEN! I was a 20 year old again.. the nostalgia.. it brought back some great memories with just one bite.. if youre wondering.. YES it was just as good as the first time.. I just finished mine and I'm ready for another.. I don't know what they put in it, but it's DAMN DELICIOUS! If you're in the area, treat yourself. Great price for a big wrap, but all the plates are generous servings.

Disclaimer: you won't be able to enjoy a shawarma anywhere else after this. So be ready for that..

A way i like to describe dishes with this kind of flavour is to say "itll make your mouth orgasm" lol.. yeah. It's that good. Don't take my word for it. The worst that'll happen is you'll be disappointed.. that you didnt try this sooner or that Red and White isn't closer to your home.. I know I am ?‍?

You'll remember this review and thank me.. you'll thank yourself too for trying it, I'll bet on it.
