“Stopped in for lunch at this restaurant located in a strip mall. Pleasantly surprised with the excellent service and very good food.

Our waitress was so pleasant and helpful, she went above and beyond.

My wife has the Taco salad and substitute the beef for chicken. And I went with the club sandwich. They didn't have turkey but substituted chicken instead.

The restaurant is very clean, including the washrooms.

“Foods not greasy, lots of chicken, kind of surprising. Not the lazeez experience I know. Was a little pissed that extra garlic sauce would have a surcharge, but they are extremely generous with the normal garlic sauce amount.

Service was good, place is a little basic. If you're looking for a good lazeez, go here. If you're looking for the trashy lazeez experience (dry chicken, greasy food) this would not be it.“

“Attended a friends graduation party here, and I was amazed by what a find this restaurant is! It's very spacious and decorated in a pretty but clean way.

“I got take out last night, rushing to eat before work (salad and chicken shawarma sandwich). It tasted odd... shortly after,, I called the location to tell them, something was off with the ingredients. I wasn't sure of it was the onions, turnips etc. something was left out too long perhaps... and today I am sick as a dog. I've eaten here before. I think they need better quality control on the food... especially being safely stored.. perhaps temperatures..etc“

A cabbage dish had a lovely sauce, but the cabbage itself felt undercooked and was difficult to eat, with the filling being rather plain. “I had the lentil soup and döner plate. The soup was perfect and reminded me of home. The döner and white rice were tasty but a bit greasy for my liking. I would prefer less fat on the döner and less butter on the rice, but they were still balanced and enjoyable. “Eat here! Don't go anywhere else, as this is the best place. The food is delicious, authentic, fresh and better than you'd ever expect to find in a food court. In addition, the guys working there are super nice and helpful. Try the #4 falafel and sharma platter and get the chicken and beef combo. 10/10!

“I get the chicken skewer and beef skewer dinner plate with your choice from 2 rice options, potatoes and choice of 2 salads from multiple options. Probably 2.5 lbs of food for just under $19. I can get 2 big dinners from this option, with left over rice and salad. The skewers take a little longer to cook, but worth the wait. However, I don't see this menu option online. I always order and pick up in person. My favourite shawarma place to frequent!

“The place was packed, but they tried very efficiently to accommodate. Staff very welcoming, smiling and try to help/please the customer. In particular we were impressed by the service and politeness shown by our Two servers, Hebun & Mete. Of course, one can not taste everything. “I discovered Red and White when they first opened almost 20 years ago. Smart phones and google reviews werent even a thing lol. I lived in an apartment just down the street.. single guy so it was a quick fix for a great price.. feels like it was a different life lol.

The shawarma here, was hands down the best I've had in Toronto.. I think it was my first shawarma too.. this is the kind of meal you want and could eat daily. There was no getting tired of it, it was that good.

Since then, I've moved, had kids, started my own business.. i've had LOT'S of shawarma from all different restaurants from all nationalities hoping, praying even to find another shawarma that was close and ive had some almost as good, but I've yet to find a place that can put together such a delicious shawarma as you get here.

A lot has changed in almost two decades since I came across this place.. and as luck would have it, I was in the area the area this afternoon. imagine the excitement when I saw Red and White still there! It had changed owners though.. naturally I asked myself "will it be the same?" I rolled the dice, ordered a wrap with everything on it like i always did, and AMEN! I was a 20 year old again.. the nostalgia.. it brought back some great memories with just one bite.. if youre wondering.. YES it was just as good as the first time.. I just finished mine and I'm ready for another.. I don't know what they put in it, but it's DAMN DELICIOUS! If you're in the area, treat yourself. Great price for a big wrap, but all the plates are generous servings.

Disclaimer: you won't be able to enjoy a shawarma anywhere else after this. So be ready for that..

A way i like to describe dishes with this kind of flavour is to say "itll make your mouth orgasm" lol.. yeah. It's that good. Don't take my word for it. The worst that'll happen is you'll be disappointed.. that you didnt try this sooner or that Red and White isn't closer to your home.. I know I am ?‍?

You'll remember this review and thank me.. you'll thank yourself too for trying it, I'll bet on it.
