It tasted odd... shortly after,, I called the location to tell them, something was off with the ingredients. I wasn't sure of it was the onions, turnips etc. something was left out too long perhaps... and today I am sick as a dog. I've eaten here before. “What a delightfully unique spot! When you first walk in, the layout and decor might catch you off guard — a little quirky, a little unexpected — but that’s part of the charm. There are a few cozy tables up front, and more tucked away past the grill in the back.

We stopped in for breakfast and were absolutely delighted. Nothing over the top, just a classic, comforting plate of sausage and eggs, prepared with real care. The eggs were cooked to perfection, and the fresh fruit on the side was a lovely touch.

The couple who run the place are warm and welcoming, and it’s clear they put their heart into everything they do. One of my favourite details? They have actual newspapers on hand, just like a proper old-school diner. A real gem of a place — can’t wait to return.“

Ordered a pickup special pizza from here and I became an addict. Amazing 'to go' as well as by slice. Generous toppings at a great price point. Also, the staff are always friendly and awesome; They are always ready with a smile and genuinely seem to care about their customers and they are passionate about their food.

One slice for $4.50 (including tax) is super filling! Remember to ask what kind because the toppings are under the cheese! I had pepperoni and my boyfriend tried the Chicken Delight (spicy slice) and the donair. Donair was really good (I found it a bit too sweet, but it's really popular and worth giving a try!) and i didn't try the Chicken Delight, but it was so good that it inspired him to try the Donair.

Also, the paper plates are super cute.“

“I had a great experience at Mr Nick’s Grill! The Greek omelette was the best—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and packed with fresh ingredients. The feta, veggies, and seasoning were perfectly balanced, and the portion size was generous.

The service was excellent as well. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Even the kitchen staff were friendly and smiling, which made me feel really welcome and comfortable. The cozy atmosphere and warm hospitality make this a place I’ll definitely be coming back to. Despite Ajay being amazing, the following should still be addressed, reviewed and rectified:

Friday May 29th, 2026, around 5pm.
Your staff are in serious need of training. Not only did they short me on food, but the male server was completely disengaged and made it feel like he was just trying to get rid of us. I thanked him for his services and he gave me a blank stare than continued to speak with his co-worker. Who keep in mind, did nothing to correct his behavior.

Once I arrived home, I can see that he shorted us on the meat for both our large chicken on the rocks and large chicken wrap

When a customer is paying north of 30$ for a meal, this is completely unacceptable. Please rectify the issue.

My recommendation is to replace both those workers or retrain him. They do not understand or meet Canada's standards for customer service. I implore you to look over your security footage for proof.

“Wanna get full for $10 and have a quick nutritious meal? This is the spot to be. It's not the most mind-blowing shawarma I've had (they don't claim to be anyway), it truly is some of the best bang-for-your-buck food in the area with well-balanced portions that hit the spot.

The guy working the counter gave rockstar service. There were quite a handful of people including myself, yet he was able to get all of our food out in a timely manner considering he was the only employee- all with a smile on his face. I like that they have actual toum and not just shawarma yogurt sauce (although I got that on my food as well and it was delicious). They also offer weekly deals which are pretty cheap imo considering how expensive food is nowadays.

If you're looking for parking I'd look for a curb on Dawes rd and just walk on over. The shop is super tiny and only has two stools for seating so it's best for takeout.“

“It’s a fine time to get in the mood for brunch at noon on Canada Day. Lesser folk may say you have no chance of sitting down anywhere proper within the hour, and smarter folk will have planned ahead days ago.

But there I was, and with one call to this place, the lovely hostess added me to the waitlist for 1 p.m. and said we were good to come then! It felt like a stroke of luck, which I chalked up to the later hour and the very hot weather.

We were seated right away with our table held, and the first thing we ordered, naturally, was mimosas.

I’m not sure if the air conditioning, fans, or exhaust system wasn't working that day, but it wasn’t much cooler inside than outside, which made it a bit uncomfortable. There were a lot of people as well. An icy mimosa helped quench my thirst.

Clearly a very lively and well-frequented joint, we perused the menu and I decided on the Merguez shakshuka. We also got the Farmer’s Breakfast. I highly recommend any of the shakshuka on the menu, as that is clearly their specialty!

Mine arrived piping hot, and the bread was very good. The yolks were perfectly runny, and I liked the nuttiness the labneh had; it was quite satisfying. The Farmer’s Breakfast left a little to be desired, as the scrambled eggs were overdone.

I would definitely return to try more of the menu, as this place offers a lot, not just breakfast.“
