“This restaurant is quite a local Hangout for most of the cultural community in the area. It's been around for over a hundred years but unfortunately it's a Creamery and the best you can do is toast pastries, creamery items coffee etc. but no meat. So if you're looking for bacon and eggs or steak and eggs forget it. Still good food if you're hungry at a reasonable price and one of the few restaurants in the area. The best part of this restaurant from my perspective is the bakery. My review initially was on the restaurant but since then I drop in a couple a times a week to stock up on rye bread be it with kimmel, plain or pumpernickel. Another unique thing is the sizes of their loaves. They make small loaves of rye that are terrific when you just want a small snack with hummus or meat. Now as well they have a terrific selection of danish open face with lemon, apple, blue berrie, cherry as well as turnovers and muffins. But the best part is if you get there at 8.00 am all these items day olds are half price.“

“Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here! We went as part of Summerlicious and got to try several different items for a great price: appetizers dokka and bissara, mains koshari and ful and tameya, and both konafa desserts. The food was absolutely delicious! A great variety of flavours and textures throughout. I found the dishes to be well seasoned without being overwhelming.

Service was excellent. The front of house was quick and attentive, and special thanks to the chef who explained a bit about the dishes and gave his recommendation on how best to enjoy them. I'm glad I tried all of the things the chef recommended, as it was well worth it. They know their stuff! Also glad to see that a large portion of the Summerlicious menu was vegan, which accommodates many dietary restrictions and preferences. So happy to have discovered Papyrus!“

“I first came to this place more than 15 years ago and it was amazing..a hidden gem.., then it changed owners and they tried to make it more "upscale" but it was just more expensive and quality of the food dropped..it was still "ok" for a change once in a while.. . I have not visited Belle for years now as I moved out of Toronto and then the pandemic and yesterday while in Toronto we decided to order take out .....very very disappointed The prices don't match the quality of the food and when we picked up we just saw a bunch of teens playing videogames not really customer oriented. We had to wait longer for the order and the food was cold. The Lula kebab was burnt, the home fries (that was the signature master piece) were dried up, the chicken was tasteless... Poor quality, poor customer service and expensive. Will not come back or recommend again“

“I dropped by here for lunch after visiting AML Auto Service across the Street. I had the most delicious and amazing Chicken Shawarma Wrap at Pita Land. Everything was super fresh. Staff is very friendly.. One of the regular customers recommended I add Tahini sauce and I'd highly recommend you do too.

There are some toppings missing like pickles and those turnips, these are the main ones I like rest the food is served fresh and decent quality/quantity.“
