“Probably one of my favorite shawarma places right now. The food is always fresh, and the meat is really well seasoned.

I have a pretty sensitive stomach when it comes to eating out, but Lava Grill has always been very easy and comforting for me to eat. I usually get the chef sauce, lava sauce, and garlic sauce together. That combination makes the shawarma so good.

What also stands out to me is the staff. I’ve been to a lot of other shawarma places where everything feels rushed and they barely have the patience to take your order. Here, the staff actually took the time to explain the different sauces and patiently asked what vegetables I wanted.

Good food, friendly service, and a much more welcoming experience than most shawarma places I’ve tried. Definitely recommend Lava Grill.“

“This place has excellent quality food and friendly service. I ordered the chicken breast kebab dinner. The chicken is perfectly seasoned, juicy and tasty! The naan bread is soft and fluffy. In fact, I can eat it by itself. The Greek salad is so fresh and I love the dressing. I like their Greek salad better than those at Greek restaurants. Overall, I am just happy to have a quality restaurant near my home where I can go to get quality food anytime.“

“This place was unexpectedly good. Me and my family just passed by for a quick bite from a long drive and this was in the same plaza as a TD bank. We had the chicken shawarma plate and it was tasty and fresh. The ladies behind the counter were also courteous and accomodating as they explained the promotions they had running so we got a great deal. I may not be able to come back as I live quite a ways away but I highly recommend this place.“

The place is clean, portions are generous, and prices are fair. It’s become one of my favourite spots, and I definitely recommend giving it a try. The only downside is that there is one older lady who works during the daytime. I’ve interacted with her several times, and unfortunately she has been consistently rude, impatient, and unfriendly. I had the opportunity today to pass by and visit my old friend Johnny at his shawarma restaurant on Kennedy Road not far off the 401... @johnnysshawarma is consistently ranked in the top handful of shawarma restaurants in the city and I can honestly say that I've never had better shawarma anywhere (not even when visiting Israel!)... And that says a lot considering with my middle eastern roots (my Dad was from Egypt) this is one of my favorite foods as it's delicious as it is nutritious especially when given the option to swap out the starchy carbs like the insanely good rice and potatoes with equally amazing salads and dips... Make sure to stop by and grab a bite if you are heading anywhere East of the DVP off the 401 and let them know Andre sent you 💪💪💪“
