“Accidentally stumbled across this little eatery after dropping off 2 teenagers at the Park. Had no idea what to pick and asked the gentleman for suggestion. He smiled back and asked me what meat I prefer. It’s a good warm chicken wrap with a generous amount of veggies of my choice, and I picked 2 Chilli for the sauce as I needed the kick after the long drive. That was a really good wrap at just $9.99, and I felt so young as I was surrounded by happy teenagers. The place is not spotless clean as it’s after all a self-serve quick come and go restaurant. The gentleman taking my order is polite to everyone, and that really matters a lot to me. Will definitely come again!“
“This location is amazing, their food is always so well made not like some other places. They make such amazing quality of food I couldn't recommend them more. Not only is their food great but their customer service is the best I've seen in a while! I lost my health card and they went out of their way to found me on instagram to give it back to me. I could not be more grateful. If you want unbelievably good food you should definitely come here. Personally this is the only Osmow's I will ever go to.“
“I love this supermarket. Not only do they have all the products every Persian household needs, and even more. They also serve dishes, which are very well known and loved by Persians and people who are fans of Persian food. You can get the best and tastiest food in Toronto from this restaurant. Yesterday on Easter, we had a hundred guests and they gave us excellent chicken pilaf with barberry for a hundred and fifty people. The food was always full of saffron and barberry of high quality. God bless you. give to their work and life“
“A very high quality family owned restaurant with genuineness in their food and service. I got a chance to speak briefly to Abdul (our server) about the restaurant and was impressed by the facts. You don’t find places like this too often, I highly recommend, even for take-outs since their dine-in space is limited during rush hours.“
“Wow, just wow!I have heard recommendations from neighbors on FB local groups, and decided to pay a visit. Worth every penny! The combination of rich flavors, the nostalgic atmosphere and the kind service will leave you craving for more!We will be coming back.Photos : Blinches, Grilled Salmon, Cabbage Rolls and Kompot drink“
“Loved the chicken shawarma and the service. It was so lovely talking to the owners (father and son), they treat all their customers with such love and it shows in their food and atmosphere. The quantity was quite huge (make sure to get 2 lines of hot sauce if you like medium spice). They deserve the best and I will definitely be coming back!!“
“Charming place. Wish I was able to sit-down but I’m glad that their take-out is still fantastic. From food to packaging and service, everything is supremely thoughtful. Also if you’re waiting for your takeout, don’t hesitate to get a chai while waiting. It’s good!“
“I come here for uber and doordash. It is a very interesting place. It's full and there are people waiting in line. Demand is high. The staff is very attentive, and if there is a long wait, they buy drinks. I don't know anything about food because I've never eaten it.“
“Highly recommend this place! Most amazing service I’ve had, the owner is down to earth. Food is top notch and always made with love and care. Came 5 minutes before closing and still let us stay and eat. If you’re ever in the area please drop by and try it out!“
“I love the staff they always make my day. Greet everyone with a smile. The food is outstanding! Even their coffee is one of the best I've had!!Vegetarian options: Their falafel are to die forKid-friendliness: They have highchairs and schnitzel with fries is my nephew's favorite“
“This place is awesome! the quality of food is amazing the chicken is fresh and seasoned perfect… it’s fresh and the staff is awesome too very nice people. It’s a very cozy comfortable place to eat! Kept nice and clean too:) extremely recommend this place!!“
“Stopped in by chance during a long working day on Sunday for a sit down meal.Facility was clean and the staff very welcoming.Portions were large and served hot and fresh. You will not be dissapointed to stop here for a meal.Kid-friendliness: Several familys were here with their children.Wheelchair accessibility: 100% barrier free compliant“
“Great portion sizes at great quality prices - one platter can definitely feed 2. The meats were very fresh and grilled to order! I also recommend getting the yogurt drink to accompany your meal.Ordering takes place at the counter and their eat-in area is well kept. I loved the traditional plate aesthetic, but the silverware were a bit a dirty.I would call this a hidden gem in Aurora and would drop by again for a cheap lunch!“
“I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Jasleen at Pita Land for their outstanding service. Despite arriving just one minute before closing time, Jasleen greeted me with a warm smile and took my order without any hesitation. Their positive attitude and dedication to providing excellent service truly stood out. Thank you, Jasleen, for going above and beyond to ensure a great experience, even during busy closing hours. I will definitely be returning to Pita Land for more tasty meals and exceptional service!“
“First time eating here and all I got to say is that it is the best swarma I have ever tasted in my entire life. The chicken was so juicy, the sauces at so much flavour, and the rice and fries were so perfect. If I had the money, I would make sure that there is at least open a shop in Vaughan.“
“I got take out last night, rushing to eat before work (salad and chicken shawarma sandwich). It tasted odd... shortly after,, I called the location to tell them, something was off with the ingredients. I wasn't sure of it was the onions, turnips etc. something was left out too long perhaps... and today I am sick as a dog. I've eaten here before. I think they need better quality control on the food... especially being safely stored.. perhaps temperatures..etc“
“I come here to eat often afterschool and to study in the library. I've eaten with them 3 times so far and all three times have been amazing. The prices are extremely good for the amount of food, and the service is amazing. Especially Ali and William!! They're such amazing hospitable people and I wish them the best.“
“Khaki is our go to takeout for Iranian grilled kabobs in the city. The koobideh (ground beef) is so juicy, tasty, and simply incredible. The joojeh (chicken) skewers are perfectly seasoned and delish! The basmati rice and soup are great too. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.Portions are big, prices reasonable, and food quality amazing. I always use them as my go to for catered events.“
“Nice decoration, very welcoming . The food is amazing; I like the menu can't wait to try it all. my favorite is the Marrakesh sandwich with sausage and olives (OOMMG SOOO GOOOD) i tried beef Shawarma also; very good. I also loved the sweets knaffe was delicious. Can't wait to try the other stuff, amazing experience overalVegetarian options: The falafels are yummyWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“I had experience with Shawarma Royal it’s delightful blend of tender, marinated meat, usually chicken and beef, wrapped in a warm, fluffy pita. The succulent layers of meat are complemented by vibrant vegetables and a generous drizzle of flavorful sauces, creating a harmonious and satisfying taste .The juiciness of the meat and the medley of spices contribute to its overall deliciousness.“
“As it’s the last week of school before the holidays, my co-workers and I decided to order food from here as a treat for ourselves. We had a parent bring us food from here before and it was delicious. We ordered kabob, chicken tikka, rice, salad and Iraqi bread. My goodness it was absolutely delicious. Everyone enjoyed and there was not a grain of rice left. I placed the order with Peter and he was so pleasant and helpful. Also spoke with his uncle and he was just as nice. I would 10000% go back here over and over and fulfill my kabob cravings on a regular. The prices are also very reasonable. Portions are great. Nothing bad to say. If you want to eat some amazing food, just go here.Thank you guys for everything.“
“I first came to this place more than 15 years ago and it was amazing..a hidden gem.., then it changed owners and they tried to make it more "upscale" but it was just more expensive and quality of the food dropped..it was still "ok" for a change once in a while.. . I have not visited Belle for years now as I moved out of Toronto and then the pandemic and yesterday while in Toronto we decided to order take out .....very very disappointed The prices don't match the quality of the food and when we picked up we just saw a bunch of teens playing videogames not really customer oriented. We had to wait longer for the order and the food was cold. The Lula kebab was burnt, the home fries (that was the signature master piece) were dried up, the chicken was tasteless... Poor quality, poor customer service and expensive. Will not come back or recommend again“
“Looking for a place to enjoy Naija gbedu and afrobeats? Search no more, La Shish got your back. Great atmosphere, positive energy from clubbers, and the DJs are good.Their rates for drinks and gate are competitive, so, l'll say you will get good value for your money.Kid-friendliness: It's a club, so it's not fit kidsParking: They've got much parking space, so you will most likely get a parking spot“
“The owners were incredibly welcoming and kind. The food itself was a marvel - the portions were generous, made a satisfying meal. Is a gem for anyone seeking delicious food complemented by genuine, heartfelt hospitality. A must-try for all!“

Some of our family favourites are: Harcho, Garlic Dill Potatoes, Sea Bass, Perogies, Chicken tabaka, rack of lamb, anything you choose from the menu will be a delicate masterpiece that leaves a lasting impression. The staff at A Yiddishe Mame treat you like family. Their warm smiles and attentive service enhance the dining experience. For those seeking a homemade dinner that warms the soul, this restaurant is a must-visit.“
“Delicious food, warm and cozy environment and friendly and efficient team. Tried this place for the first time and will definitely be back. Had Joe’s Big Burger with cheese, fries with gravy (gravy that brought me back to my high school days) and a chicken schwarma dinner with rice and salad. Great portions, yummy and if you like hot sauce, better ask for some - because it adds a kick and extra layer of flavour.“
“Thanks to Molouk Khanoom for guiding us on what to order! The Kabab Torsh, Koobideh, Soltani, Kashki Bademjan, and Zeytoon Parvardeh were all incredibly delicious. Too much food we couldn't finish it!easily food was enough for one more company. The presentation on wooden platters added a touch of elegance. The overall decoration was pleasing lighting was very modern and the ambiance had a natural sound quality. A truly delightful dining experience!“
“A great spot in this strip mall for some casual shawarma eats!Everything is fresh & may be customized. The guys were super patient (as some newbies take time to figure the menu out). In particular, NITISH was super patient, hospitable and accommodating!*Company owners: please give an improved, more clearer description / explanation of your menu - quite confusing if ifs your first time - also maybe put it on the eye-level wall vs those very high monitors *We’ll be back - the food was fantastic & the price is fair ~ especially coming back to this location, thanks to Nitish!“
“It is a nice place to get together with your friends, smoke sisha, have nice tea, food, desert and play some games. Placed is too crowded during weekends be ready to wait for a bit to get table. Sisha smoke was so heavy, difficult to enjoy it. they changed it for us. Service was excellente and quick.“
“When I'm craving flavorful, fresh, and expertly prepared food, this is the first place I think of.After visiting Xawaash for the past three years, I have tried most of the food on the menu, but it is still difficult for me to choose just one dish because they are all expertly prepared and flavorful.“
“Amazing place, great food and very cleanI always go there with my friends and the family as well and I really recommend you guys to go and try it.The owners Emad and his brother sarmed along with their sister salma are great people they have the knowledge and they know how to run their business so well and so professionally, the service is absolutely awesome they have couple of waitressesThey are honestly super nice and very polite and they have one of the best customer service ??“
“I absolutely love the food from here, they have the best combo meals with salad, potatoes, rice and chicken. You get to pick the toppings you’d like in your lunch box, and the sauces. The service was wonderful, and I was able to get a large portion of food for a great price. Thank you!“
“My 18 year old son and I ate here before a hockey tournament game. So glad we did. Actually amazing and fresh food. Best chicken shawarma we have ever put in our mouths. Cooked to perfection and so flavorful with delicious tahini sauce and humus and veggies Very kind and gracious service. Wish we had a place like this in Detroit. So much better then anything we have by far.“
“I came as a walk in, for take out. Did not realize they had patio space open! It's such a beautiful day and I had the patio all to myself. Enjoyed the Shawarna Poutine and it was delicious!!! Staff are super friendly! Would come back and recommend to family and friends!“
“Your food is the best, and very delicious, nobody make the liver like you,.the cream chap and beef tikka are perfect.. Actually all your food are so good, you are so friendly and you know what you are doing.. Just one point,. Why does your name not with the Uber eat?“
“Great atmosphere, nice seating, fresh and tasty food, big portions, reasonable price, friendly staff, really clean and tidy, and a caring owner. This was the first time trying this place with my wife, and I'm already planning on bringing the whole family here and also recommending it to everyone else I know.“
“Very tasty and authentic food. Any Persian restaurant that makes rice which you can eat and enjoy without anything else knows what they are doing. Only too happy to support a new establishment like this which is a great addition to the community“
“Our 2nd visit to this wonderful restaurant with staff that cannot do enough for their patrons. Very tough to choose 1 entree as they are all so satisfying and the servings plentiful. This visit was a celebration and had the birthday boy ( 75 today !) feeling quite special. Thank you.“
“"Pitaland's shawarma is a true gem in the heart of Canada. From the first bite, you're transported to a culinary journey of Middle Eastern flavors and authenticity. The shawarma is a masterpiece of tender, perfectly seasoned meat wrapped in warm, fluffy pita bread with a generous assortment of fresh vegetables. Each component harmonizes beautifully, creating a symphony of taste that leaves you craving more. What truly sets Pitaland apart is their addictive garlic sauce, a tangy and creamy delight that elevates the shawarma to new heights. Whether you're a meat lover or vegetarian, Pitaland has you covered with their flavorful options. The portions are generous, the prices reasonable, and the service always friendly. It's no wonder Pitaland is a favorite among locals and visitors alike. A must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable shawarma experience in Canada!"“
“Awesome place! The staff? are really nice and chatty, excellent food too. My favourite shawarma? restaurant for sure! keep in touch with the guy Habeeb? just a wonderful person who describes and help to choose the right taste to you. Must try for being an addictive?“
“I was served by a nice lady by the name of Majda, who was very amicable and served everything to my taste. No complaints other than portion size vs. price. For the price, a little more quantity is probably what customers can rightfully expect.“
“I've come here multiply times. The wraps, fries and bowls have been consistently good and tasty. Price is a little on the high side but not outrageously so. A concern is the vegetables like the cabbage and turnips are chopped too finely. This isn't baby food. If this was a recent change please reconsider.“
“First visit after Covid……and their Lamb Shish Kebab is still the BEST in town!3 decades and counting. This long standing Thornhill icon continued to churn out some of the best Middle Eastern charbroiled grilled meat skewers in town. A particularly scarce offering and favorite of mine is their cooked-to-order Lamb Shish Kebab, using Grass fed Ontario Lamb ( more delicate, sweet and less gamey than their New Zealand cousins ).Today, braving a late Spring snow storm, my son and I decided to go for a ‘ Grilled Lamb Feast ‘ luncheon. Before the arrival of the main event, we started off with a hot Falafel and Pita appetizer platter. Piping hot, light, airy, well seasoned and crispy, the most enjoyable aspect of this Falafel rendition was their surprisingly moist interior! A real delight to eat with both Tzatziki and Tahini dips. Our Shish Kebab Skewers of well charred, succulent, juicy and tender lamb morsels were masterfully cooked - rare as ordered. A touch of salt to elevate the overall taste profile and carnivores like myself was instantly propelled to ‘ Meat Heaven ‘!Service was most friendly and attentive.A most enjoyable, pleasurable and value-for-money meal, well worth the drive through inclement weather for!“
“I ordered the baked egglant, the shakshuka, and the rainbow trout. All were delicious. The service was attentive and friendly, and I appreciated the complementary laffa bread and pickled vegetables. Yes, the food is more expensive than comparable items at other restaurants, but I enjoyed my meal there.“
“Very surprised by the reviews about poor service and tasteless dishes. Maybe it all depends on the specific people in the hall and in the kitchen, but we had a delicious meal and received quality service at a high level. The waitress was polite and friendly. As soon as we arrived, we were the only ones in the hall (Friday, 6 p.m.), but later other people started coming to the neighboring tables. I think that we will come back again, if possible?“
“An enchanting culinary journey awaits at this establishment. The food was a symphony of flavors, each dish telling a story of passion and creativity. The service was gracious, with staff who treated me like royalty. An experience that will leave you spellbound.“
“Amazing vibes and girls are super friendly and welcoming. The menu is fresh and enchanting. Better than Rexdale branch for sure.. best Halal place around that area.. Will clearly recomment this restaurant to anyone. Convenient rates and generous meals. Keep it up folks“
“I've been to many Persian restaurants in Toronto, but none of them were like here. The taste of meals here is so close to legit Persian food. The taste is somehow nostalgic for me. I strongly suggest this restaurant. I have also been here to try Dizzi, it was awesome as well.Vegetarian options: Not too diverse in terms of veggi.Kid-friendliness: The place is safe for kids.“
“The Chicken pita in a box with rice is the best thing that I have ever had. If I were asked what my last meal on earth would be I might say this however you have to make sure you get garlic sauce, hummas, tzakiki, and hot sauce on it. Don't forget to give it a good shake to make the best creamy rice you have ever had.“
