Middle Eastern Restaurants near Maple, ON

“Pita Land is honestly my favourite food spot, hands down. I've been going here for several years now (since it opened) and the location is so convenient for me that it's become a regular thing. What really gets me is how consistent the quality has stayed the whole time, no matter when I go.

I've ordered from here during late night school projects, after long gym sessions, and even during gaming nights with friends. The chicken shawarma has never once let me down, whether I'm getting the poutine, the plate, or the potato bowl, they're all consistently amazing. The staff have always been friendly whenever I've gone in, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is great too.

Also huge shoutout for being open late on Uber Eats. I genuinely can't even count how many times I've ordered from this place at this point, it's a lot.“

“The food was great, and the workers were very kind. I dropped by with a friend late at night yesterday, however the workers were still enthusiastic when taking my order. Recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious reasonably priced meal during the night.“

“very tasty chicken and beef shawarmas, love it“

“Thank You so much for an amazing evening November 09, 2024 at Old Avenue. The food is amazing, The Service is so attentive and quick. The Atmosphere is welcoming and you can feel the love and care from the owner the chef and the serving young people. Defiantly will go again and again to try more interesting things on the menu.“

“Unbelievable! You won’t be disappointed“

“Amazing food! The kabab was very juicy, not over cooked or undercooked. The portion was just the perfect amount. The server was polite. The indoor temperature for dine-in was cool on a hot summer day which is rare for a restaurant in this strip. Overall great experience. Will definitely come back for dine-in and takeout.“

“Had an amazing experience at Pitaland thanks to Harsh! Super friendly, patient, and made sure everything was perfect. The service was quick, the food was fresh, and Harsh’s positive attitude really stood out. Definitely coming back again!“

“Delish food for 59 years - will continue to eat there whenever passing by“

“Best food, delicious and tasty! You should try the baklava and the lamb ! Excellent!“

“Been here more than a dozen times and it never seems to miss. Amazing food and friendly environment with welcoming staff. Had the pleasure of being served by Orla who was a delight and Management Kate who had time to sit and have a quick chat with us. Definitely a staple for me for good Lebanese food I’ve tried almost everything by now and never been disappointed. You would think for it to be a restaurant in a mall you would get “mall food court quality “ food but this is far beyond in every aspect.“

“The best services and most polite and friendly staff with a very good quality of food and products“

“This place is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!. Food taste and presentation is just off the charts. Definitely worth the trip. I would give 10 stars if I could.“

“To be honest you I had been lots of shawarma- doner restaurants. This place 10/100🙌. I ordered chicken shawarma sandwich. It was absolutely delicious. The owner is being so kind and warm. The owner Deniz made me happy with this delicious food. Everybody should come here for taste it. I appreciate it for good service.“

“I went to Koochini Restaurant & Bar at a friend's invitation. We visited on Saturday, and it was a fantastic experience. The DJs were excellent, the atmosphere was lively, and everyone was having a great time. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The beer, whisky, appetizers, and hookah were all excellent.
Most of the guests seemed to be of Iranian background, which gave the place a unique and vibrant atmosphere. If you enjoy hookah, this is definitely a great place to try it. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a fun night out.“

“Great quality food. Delicious. You need to try Rumi's!“

“I first came to this place more than 15 years ago and it was amazing..a hidden gem.., then it changed owners and they tried to make it more "upscale" but it was just more expensive and quality of the food dropped..it was still "ok" for a change once in a while.. . I have not visited Belle for years now as I moved out of Toronto and then the pandemic and yesterday while in Toronto we decided to order take out .....very very disappointed The prices don't match the quality of the food and when we picked up we just saw a bunch of teens playing videogames not really customer oriented. We had to wait longer for the order and the food was cold. The Lula kebab was burnt, the home fries (that was the signature master piece) were dried up, the chicken was tasteless... Poor quality, poor customer service and expensive. Will not come back or recommend again“

“Shawarma lover here, I’ve had the most viral in the city and this spot deserves more recognition. 10/10. Meat was fresh, juicy and flavourful.

The owner cut the meat fresh off the rotisserie, most shawarma shops pre cut their meats & have sit in a heating compartment which dries it out. Beef was amazing with extra beef fat on the rice, chicken was juicy. He gave me extra beef fat when I asked with no issues.

Pay cash and get a free drink. Support this family ran restaurant. The owner is so nice and warm. Welcoming & out going. Will 10000% return.

Truly fantastic shawarma as they live up to their name.“

“One the best Kebob and Chicken dishes I've ever had!“

“I ordered 2 gyros and two gyro plates
. The gyro plates were good but the wraps were even better . The okra soup was fantastic. Good service and owner is kind and respectful. I’ll be going back . I’ll be getting a soup every time I’m in .“

“Had such a great experience at York Shawarma! The food was amazing—fresh, full of flavour, and honestly some of the best shawarma I’ve had. What really stood out was the service. Everyone was genuinely friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in.

Great atmosphere, amazing food, and even better people. You can tell they really care about their customers. We’ll definitely be back!“

“I eat here almost every day. And they're amazing. The price point is fantastic. And the food is authentic. My recommendation to anybody who loves Middle Eastern food. Love their fries and the yellow rice is my favorite. But try the chicken sandwich or the falafel wrap“

“Had a wonderful meal at Limon. The staff are excellent. And because I was there near closing, I saw how the kitchen staff went to work washing down the whole kitchen. It was impressive to see how much care went into their work. I would encourage anyone who wants a great meal to dine at Limon. Pricing for what we ate was very reasonable too.“

“I had the restaurant to myself as World Cup was on lunch was great had the chicken soulvaki was very good different from how the Greeks do this dish, but all in all a very nice lunch washed down with a beer which makes a change for a beer at lunch.
Staff polite friendly would certainly look at going back when I'm in the area.“

“Barmakey is easily one of the best Iraqi restaurants I’ve tried!
Authentic flavours, fresh ingredients, and portions that actually satisfy. The service is fast, the staff are friendly, and the whole place feels like home. Highly recommend to anyone who wants real Iraqi food done right. 👌🇮🇶“

“Ordered Ghaimeh and Koobideh from here and it is without a doubt some of the absolute best food I’ve had in the GTA. It’s fresh and absolutely perfectly balanced. Highly recommend and looking forward to trying the rest of their menu items.“

“Great food and super friendly, Highly recommend“

“I got take out last night, rushing to eat before work (salad and chicken shawarma sandwich). It tasted odd... shortly after,, I called the location to tell them, something was off with the ingredients. I wasn't sure of it was the onions, turnips etc. something was left out too long perhaps... and today I am sick as a dog. I've eaten here before. I think they need better quality control on the food... especially being safely stored.. perhaps temperatures..etc“

“Food is good as always. The woman in the front was doing a spectacular job, working by herself when the store was busy. Even accommodating another customers request for slight menu alterations.

10/10 would recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.“

“Thank you Nusrat. I had a great experience at Pita Land Rexdale! The restaurant was very clean, and the service was excellent. Nusrat listened carefully to my order and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. She was also super fast—my shawarma was ready in no time! Friendly, efficient, and professional service. I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!“

“El Greeko is truly a gem! Their staff takes such care in preparing the food with love and attention to detail, and it really shows in every bite. The flavors are absolutely incredible—authentic, fresh, and full of taste. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even better. Highly recommend this place for anyone who loves great food and great service!” ❤️“

Thank you to the guy at the bar who knew I wanted to be quick.“

“I had a great experience at Tahini’s on Islington! The food was fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The chicken shawarma was perfectly seasoned, the vegetables were crisp, and the sauces added the perfect finishing touch. The restaurant was clean, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and my order was prepared quickly. If you’re looking for a delicious halal meal with excellent service, I highly recommend this location. I’ll definitely be coming back“

“Had a terrific experience with a buffet order at Pita land. The amount of food that we got and the quality was superb. Special thanks goes out to the workers Manpreet and Sunil who packed the food very carefully and the preparation was amazing.“

“Been coming here a while, for over 20 years. The food at the restaurant is excellent, the service is great, and most importantly, it's such a down to earth place to be. Love buying stuff at their grocery store while I'm waiting for my appetizers.“

“I really appreciate that the staff are always smiling, it shows that the work atmosphere is great. Kudos to the management, because a positive atmosphere really reflects in the customer service. Also, whenever I order for pickup, my order is usually ready within a few minutes, so the speed is excellent. I’m very satisfied with both the service and the food so far!

One small suggestion: for the bowls,I would appreciate a slightly larger portion of protein if possible. I usually order through Uber, and a bit more protein would make the portion even better. Just a suggestion“

“MashaAllah I had an amazing experience at Alibaba Shawarma! The beef shawarma was incredibly delicious and truly the best in Toronto. Abdul Rahman, who was serving me, provided exceptional customer service with a friendly and professional attitude. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving delicious shawarma and excellent service!“

“Great atmosphere, nice seating, fresh and tasty food, big portions, reasonable price, friendly staff, really clean and tidy, and a caring owner. This was the first time trying this place with my wife, and I'm already planning on bringing the whole family here and also recommending it to everyone else I know.“

“We needed a large catering order 2 days before my mother’s funeral and they were so accommodating, easy to advise on an Assyrian funeral at our church St Mary’s and they did not disappoint! The food was delicious traditional comfort. The food was high quality large portions and mostly everyone asked where it came from and for their contact. We had 100 people there and the trust we put in them was delivered in every way! Thanks again Zad for making this day go so smooth ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“i often get the beef poutine, and it's so delicious. the fries are fresh and crispy, the sauce is perfectly balanced and not overly salty, and the beef pieces are so tender and blends beautifully with the rest of the meal. the gravy sauce and cheese isn't excessive which i enjoy, too. the portion sizes are also great. service is friendly and swift. definitely recommend this place. 🍟“

“I came as a walk in, for take out. Did not realize they had patio space open! It's such a beautiful day and I had the patio all to myself. Enjoyed the Shawarna Poutine and it was delicious!!! Staff are super friendly! Would come back and recommend to family and friends!“
