I had a lovely experience at this restaurant in Yalda night! The atmosphere is absolutely stunning—thoughtfully designed and perfect for a family gathering. The food was delicious, with each dish thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor.

The only downside was the temperature—it was a bit colder than I would have liked, which made it a little less comfortable. If they could adjust the heating, it would be perfect!

Overall, highly recommended for the ambiance and food.“

“We’ve been coming here since 2006. Great local spot. I have found over the years the quality of the burger has gone down a bit, but it’s still good. The shawarma is definitely a top item on the menu. I would recommend families and couples to come here for a good and casual meal.“

“Pretty decent place - very clean when I went. The only complaint I wish they’d have more toppings such as cucumber, peppers, tabouli.. even black or green olives they didn’t have! I didn’t see tzatziki sauce or any additional spices to add either. This surprised me for a Mediterranean fusion restaurant. The sign underneath also should be updated to read tahini’s, I almost missed the store walking by. (Not as current Mediterranean fusion restaurant)“

“Lafa is fantastic, beating anything at a standard shawarma shop. Toppings and sauces are great.... I've been here a dozen times, and it's perfect every time ❤️. Absolutely massive portion in lafa, too.

Update Sept 29, 2024: This place is the best shawarma in the GTA. I was worried they would have shrunk their portions or lowered their quality over the past year like so many, but the opposite: it is even better. The laffa is baked on site, and the toppings are very fresh and more complex than at other shawarma restaurants. Absolutely perfect.“

I usually get the Chicken Shawarma meal and if you are not feeling for salad, you can always request extra potatoes.

“These two brothers know how to do it right. I'm always greeted with a smile and treated with kindness. I've been coming here for years! I love this place, the price is very affordable and this place is legendary for shawarma quality. 15/10 would reccomend, I stop here every single time I'm in Aurora! 🤤🤤🤤🤤 the sound of the meat shaver is like lullabies to my ear drums. “The garlic toum is fabulous at Aladdin shawarma house, which reminds me of sharwama palace in Ottawa (which I think is the BEST sharwama in Canada). The roasted potatoes is also a blessing, and everything goes down refreshingly with the lovely coleslaw.

When I moved to Canada I never had a same taste of Shawarma. But the taste was from Fantastic was awesome. They have variety of sauces and filling. More over direct cutting from oven ... that makes different from other shawarma shops..“

“This place is similar to the concept of a combination of a coffeehouse, tavern, and dining hall in Turkey. It’s like a blend of three different places, something I haven't even seen in Turkey. I liked it; the prices are reasonable. There are about thirty people inside, but no women at all.“

“I first came to this place more than 15 years ago and it was amazing..a hidden gem.., then it changed owners and they tried to make it more "upscale" but it was just more expensive and quality of the food dropped..it was still "ok" for a change once in a while.. . I have not visited Belle for years now as I moved out of Toronto and then the pandemic and yesterday while in Toronto we decided to order take out .....very very disappointed The prices don't match the quality of the food and when we picked up we just saw a bunch of teens playing videogames not really customer oriented. We had to wait longer for the order and the food was cold. The Lula kebab was burnt, the home fries (that was the signature master piece) were dried up, the chicken was tasteless... Poor quality, poor customer service and expensive. Will not come back or recommend again“

“I come to York Shawarma during my lunch break sometimes and always receive great customer service and great food. They are very generous with their portions in both the plates and the sandwiches. For these reasons I keep coming back to this place on my lunch breaks and I hope it doesn’t change!

Vegetarian options: The typical options plus cabbage and red cabbage. In other stores I usually don’t see those two options so glad they have them.

Parking: Not a huge lot but can fit at least 12 cars.

Kid-friendliness: I don’t see a reason for it not to be kid-friendly but its location is within an industrial zone.

Wheelchair accessibility: It’s accessible as long as the chair fits throughout the door. It’s a normal size door.“

The chicken shawarma was perfectly seasoned. I also tried their beef kebab plate, which came with fluffy rice, fresh salad, and a deliciously smoky kebab.

Everything was packed carefully, and the order was ready on time. The staff at the counter were friendly and made sure I had everything I needed.

It tasted odd... shortly after,, I called the location to tell them, something was off with the ingredients. I wasn't sure of it was the onions, turnips etc. something was left out too long perhaps... and today I am sick as a dog. I've eaten here before. I think they need better quality control on the food... especially being safely stored.. perhaps temperatures..etc“
