“As an African, I’ve honestly had a hard time finding shawarma in Toronto that suits my taste. A lot of places are either too acidic, too bland, or just not what I’m used to. I was a bit hesitant to try Two Brothers at first, but I decided to give it a chance and I’m so glad I did.

I had the chicken shawarma, and from the very first bite, all my doubts disappeared. It was absolutely delicious and surprisingly close to the kind of shawarma we enjoy back home in Africa. The flavors were well balanced, tasty, and really satisfying.

If you’re African and looking for shawarma that feels familiar and matches our palate, I highly recommend this place. Definitely one of the best shawarma spots I’ve tried here. 5 stars!“

“I went to Ali Baba's for dinner and I ordered a Chicken Platter. The amount of food they gave especially the chicken was incredible. Everything tasted good and I was pleased when they reheated the potatoes on the grill for me. The store environment was clean and nice, (a typical shawarma restaurant) but the would made this particular spot great was the tissue boxes on each of the tables. This was great, especially compared to any other restaurants that will offer 2 small napkins that are almost transparent. Customer service was great, very friendly. I would go back again for sure.

“I recently visited Osmow's and tried their large Half and Half Chicken Shawarma Box. It was incredibly tasty and wonderfully prepared. The portion was generous, the chicken was perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy. The combination of rice and salad complemented the flavors beautifully. The service was excellent, with friendly and efficient staff who made sure my meal was prepared just right. Highly recommend this location for a delicious and satisfying meal!“

“It was our first visit and our family group of 7 very much enjoyed the dinner, which was a culinary adventure and not just a meal.

The server was friendly, fun and knowledgeable and helpfully suggested their “feasts” - this allowed us to try almost everything (except some vegetarian options which I will try next time when not outnumbered be strict carnivores:), and save time deliberating our choices.

All the Salatim were excellent, with some unique flavours - we especially liked the Roast Pepper Muhammara, whipped feta, and Za’aluk. The Brisket, lamb and chicken shawarma were all delicious and the potatoes with halloumi and chili may have been the best we ever had.

Chef Anthony stopped by our table a few times to check in, which was a lovely touch; and generally. the atmosphere in the packed restaurant was great.“

Food is delicious, the waitress took such great care for my nieces allergies today, which was so appreciated. So many great vegan options. The staff were so sweet with my baby, kept her smiling. The falafels were amazing.

The only suggestion would be if the bathroom could be equipped with a baby changing table!!“

“One of the best Middle Eastern restaurants in Toronto. Darna completely exceeded our expectations.

We ordered a full spread and everything was outstanding. The hummus was incredibly smooth and fresh, the baba ghanoush had deep smoky flavor, and the falafel were perfectly crispy outside and soft inside. The mixed grill platter with lamb, chicken, and kafta kebabs was cooked beautifully with that authentic charcoal flavor you hope for in real Middle Eastern cuisine.

The stuffed grape leaves, tabbouleh, and fresh salads were vibrant and clearly made with high quality ingredients. Every dish tasted authentic, balanced, and full of flavor.

And the knafeh for dessert was incredible. Warm, crispy pastry with creamy cheese and just the right amount of syrup, finished with pistachios. Easily one of the best Middle Eastern desserts we’ve had.

Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed. You can tell this place takes real pride in the food.

The owner cut the meat fresh off the rotisserie, most shawarma shops pre cut their meats & have sit in a heating compartment which dries it out. Beef was amazing with extra beef fat on the rice, chicken was juicy. He gave me extra beef fat when I asked with no issues.

“I first came to this place more than 15 years ago and it was amazing..a hidden gem.., then it changed owners and they tried to make it more "upscale" but it was just more expensive and quality of the food dropped..it was still "ok" for a change once in a while.. . I have not visited Belle for years now as I moved out of Toronto and then the pandemic and yesterday while in Toronto we decided to order take out .....very very disappointed The prices don't match the quality of the food and when we picked up we just saw a bunch of teens playing videogames not really customer oriented. We had to wait longer for the order and the food was cold. The Lula kebab was burnt, the home fries (that was the signature master piece) were dried up, the chicken was tasteless... Poor quality, poor customer service and expensive. Will not come back or recommend again“

If you're on the hunt for the best shawarma in the Vaughan area, your search ends at Shawarma Jwan. I recently visited and was absolutely blown away by the quality, flavor, and sheer size of their meals.

We ordered the mixed shawarma plates, and as you can see, they do not hold back! The plates came loaded with a generous bed of fluffy, aromatic yellow rice, topped with a mountain of succulent, perfectly spiced chicken and beef shawarma. The meat was incredibly juicy, tender, and full of authentic flavor—exactly what you crave in a top-tier shawarma.

The sauces were the cherry on top. They were liberally drizzled with a rich, creamy garlic sauce and a vibrant, tangy hot sauce that added the perfect kick. It created a mouth-watering symphony of flavors in every bite.

“Amidst the growing sea of corporate chains like Wendy’s and Popeyes on this corner, Habibi Shawarma is a necessary breath of fresh air. It is so important to support these independent spots that actually give the neighborhood its character.

I ducked in here while I was freezing and soaked to the bone from the pouring rain, and the experience was exactly what I needed. I was in and out quickly, but the service was incredibly kind. Marina made my sandwich and had such a lovely, warm energy that immediately took the edge off the cold. Even the owner wished me well on my journey back out into the rain as I was leaving it was a genuinely nice moment of human connection.
