“A very high quality family owned restaurant with genuineness in their food and service. I got a chance to speak briefly to Abdul (our server) about the restaurant and was impressed by the facts. You don’t find places like this too often, I highly recommend, even for take-outs since their dine-in space is limited during rush hours.“

“Huge portion for the price you pay. I ordered a Havarti Beef Melt ($20) with a side of fries. The sandwich was presented with both sides facing up, so I thought a little weird for a sandwich to be opened but I totally understand why... they were a hefty portion. The beef brisket was tender, and saucy, just the right amount of salt to flavour it up. It would have been better if the Havarti cheese slice (THICK!!!) was more melty. Fries were crispy and pretty thick cut. Overall if you work around this area, Mr Nick's wouldn't be a stranger to you. But definitely worth a try!“

“We recently hosted our special Persian Year party at La Grille. Christina was amazing to work with, so easy going and helpful with planning. The food here is always delicious and incredibly fresh. They had some newer staff so service was a bit slower than usual. But overall we were so so happy with everything and can’t wait to plan our party again next year!“

“I was excited to hear about a place that serves Halifax style donairs so I was real anticpating this one. Now I am not disappointed but feel that are differences between the two I say this because I was born in Halifax, N.S. and donairs is #1 thing that people love. The difference is the thickness of the sauce, thickness of the pita and there is no lettuce added to a traditional donair just white onions and tomatoes to round it out. With these few changes to there donair you can say it would make it more authentic. These donairs are delicious and flavourful.“

“Best branch so far, the guy who handled my food was a short brown guy (most likely south asian) with an earring, golf hat and he also had a tag on his chest that said shift lead, this guy was very kind and professional, and took his time to prepare my wraps heat it properly and wrapped it very well! Aside from that the food was excellent that salad didn’t smell and was fresh…I had a positive experience and thought that the least I could do to support the restaurant and it’s employee is to write this positive feedback!“

“Food was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. We ordered the Lamb Beyti. It’s rolled lamb, was yummy but cooked medium. I should have asked for medium rare because it wasn’t as tender as I wanted. Eat it fast because the lamb pieces are small and cool quickly. Still it was delicious when it was warm. Tea was free surprisingly and free is always good.“

“Always delicious halal chicken, hummus, baba ghanush, and freshly baked bread. I will come back again and again for it. My favourite place! Customer service is superb, food comes out fast and the owner comes and checks on you. Also, the owner started playing jazz music here lately, and it's been such a cozy vibe with fire owen and rain outside. I've been coming with chess set to play with my friend here and don't want to leave. Love how warm and welcoming this place is. Every dish comes with a choice of rice or bulgur and a salad. I am a big fan of the bulgur for something different. The other dish was a grilled chicken breast skewer.
