“Went for a wrestling event, I don’t think the server expected to accommodate that many people for a Saturday evening. The bartender did the best she could, scurrying to serve us rowdy fans while batting away impatient patrons asking for food ordered 20-30 prior, bless her kind heart. I wasn’t expecting much either, considering I ate prior to the event and just wanted a beer. The menu is…basic, in a word, but ended up ordering the 3 piece chicken strips with fries. Took 35 minutes, and almost gave up. But when the food came…my word was this good. Chicken fried crispiness but still tender to enjoy the natural juicy flavour with each bite. The fries were seasoned to compliment whatever they had going with the chicken, potato and deep fry ratio done where it still retains its toasty flavour 10 minutes all after the fact. 100% worth the wait. It’s been two weekends since this event and I’m still thinking about how good that order was. I dont know if they’ve taken down their Halloween decor yet but if you’re in the Bloor/Dundas West area and come across this bar, please give their food a try. And remember to tip the bartender, lord knows she deserves it :)“

“Came by in June in the late evening. It was fairly busy but they were able to accommodate me on the patio. I initially wanted the brisket, but it was sold out. I chose the pulled pork as a replacement. It was extremely tender and flavourful, so it was still worth getting. I'll definitely come back again to try the brisket.“

“We were in the neighborhood and “thirsty” for some booze around 11pm and all the places around were pretty much closed - we called Josie’s and it was still open so we took a cab and entered a parallel universe. Josie’s is like a little time capsule, it’s like being inside Twin Peaks in the best possible way. Old school, woody, interesting clientele, shuffle board and a juke box. “Great wings, local beer selection, and they sell pitchers. Low-key and unpolished but not grimy. These types of unpretentious simple sports bars are not easy to find anymore downtown. Not ideal for a fancy date but a great spot to have a pint, grab a bite, and watch the game.“

“To the Bartender who rushed out and ran to bring me back my wallet before I left to get on my train (believe it was a UK gentleman) - give this guy a RAISE, he noticed I left my wallet and caught me (winded out of breath from chasing me) before I got to Union Station. “Been going to The Horn for many, many years. We've gotten to know all the staff who are absolutely amazing. It's one of our regular spots in the neighbourhood to have a delish local lager (or three, who are we kidding, right Dave?!) a munchie and chill on one of the best backyard patios in the city. There's always a game on and the vibe on the inside is laid back and comfy. Kristin and the crew are all gems! 5/5!“

“4 older Zoomer ladies had a bite here after AmJ musical as we walked along THE PATH toward Union Station on a rainy yesterday .it was pretty full lively at 5:30. Service excellent Food great! Two of us had the Sliders -meaty - Good quality beef and big! My friend’s club was awesome & fries were good enough to steal a few from her which we all did , the other woman had the Caesar salad and said it was really tasty and dressing light. All Portions ample. We had to get to Union for 6:45 and still had a little ways to go and they were quick with bill and follow up by initial server - excellent.“

Our night started well as the manager was the one that came and greet us and took our initial order. Everything went downhill from there service-wise. Food is great when you get it. After our appetizer. We waited 30 minutes for someone to come back to our table. They finally did. We ordered drinks that never came until. You guessed it. The Manager came back. He brought our drinks and again we waited for food. Half the beers were sold out they had no gravy. I expected a lot more from this place and I won't be speaking with the person in charge of the establishment on Monday! This was the John St. location.“
