“We ordered the Dragon roll trio, but I have also come here for a bunch of their other rolls. Always a good experience and love the fact they are open late, definitely hard to find good sushi places open late. Always a go to when I'm in the west end.“

“I ordered a 40-piece platter for a friend’s birthday party, and it was fantastic! Every piece was fresh, beautifully made, and of such high quality that it didn’t feel like takeout at all.
The staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming when I picked up my order. I’ll definitely be back!“

“Killer place. We live downtown and have cycled through every place here. Brainiac is from Japan, I'm from Vancouver where Japanese restaurants are everywhere. This place easily fits in the firmament of delicious spots to grab the best nigiri, maki, wakame and tempura. Highest quality, perfectly presented by cheery, efficient floor staff with the itamae overseeing everything. We can't recommend it highly enough. AAA+“

“Having visited more than 20 sushi establishments across the GTA, I can confidently say that this is, without question, the finest sushi restaurant I have experienced. The only drawback is the wait time, which can be considerable, however, the exceptional quality of the dining experience makes it entirely worthwhile.
The sushi is outstanding, crafted with remarkable precision, impeccable freshness, and a level of artistry that elevates each dish beyond a simple meal. Every plate is thoughtfully presented, showcasing both technical skill and aesthetic elegance.
It is difficult to understand the lower ratings given by some reviewers, as the quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail displayed here are truly exceptional.
For anyone seeking a premier sushi experience in the GTA, this restaurant sets a standard that few others can match.“

“Absolutely loved this restaurant, the server was the absolute sweetest ever and was so attentive. The food was amazing, so tasteful and the chef was able to accommodate my allergy which was greatly appreciated. The interior is insane, so beautiful.... perfect birthday spot!!! AMAZED.“

“The Deluxe Chirashi usually contains toro, uni, and a piece of salmon belly (sometimes depending on availability). The last one I got didn't have uni :( buy the 3 pieces of toro really hit the spot and made up for it. The prices are amazing for the quality that you get, especially downtown. For higher quality than this, one would have to go to Jabistro or something and pay at least double. Too bad you guys don't have a more extensive sushi menu, with things like hokkaidon and sushi omakase of the best 10-15 pieces. If you guys were to have a nigiri sushi omakase, I would definitely try it out.“

“A small sushi takeout place. They offer most of the popular sashimi, sushi and maki rolls. Decent food quality, very nice presentation as always. If you plan to try it during the weekend, advance order is recommended as there are always many orders in the queue.“

“this is a prime takeaway sushi spot. there's a variety of ready made rolls to take home for a fine price (around $1 for vegetarian rolls, and $1.40 for salmon rolls). the seaweed was roasted, which is a nice touch, and the yam tempura rolls were my favourite. however, it's take away quality, not restaurant quality. fine for a quick lunch.“

“Tried Kitaya Japanese Takeout and grabbed three drinks: the Matcha Candy Latte, Tiramisu Brûlée Latte, and a Hot Yuzu Honey Tea.
Honestly, the Matcha Candy Latte was super tasty, smooth and it is a bit overly sweet for me personally, really good matcha flavour. The Yuzu Honey Tea was also lovely, super comforting and refreshing at the same time.
The Tiramisu Brûlée Latte didn’t really do it for me though, I was hoping for more of that dessert-y tiramisu or brûlée flavour, but mostly just got the espresso (which was decent, to be fair).
Overall, two out of three drinks were great, and I’d definitely come back to try more from the menu! 💞 🍵“
“I've been frequenting this place for a few months now, and the chicken teriyaki wrap is verifiably one of the best things that I love to grab on the way home! The food is always delicious for an extremely good price and the cook is very sweet and always prepares them with care. I know it's too much to wish that she never retires and this place never closes but I will treasure every meal I can get from here until that time comes!!“
“I have lived in Toronto for 20+ years and Sushi is not new to me. Solid 7 maybe 8. Service, when they are there is a 10/11. taste 7 or 8. Somehow having an opinion of sushi in 2025 is still rare. The future! We have only been eating it for like 20+ years. The other spot in Ghetto G is the Jamaican place. The really nice women make Sushi for sushi wimps but the quality is good. A little too heavy on the avocados. There is not a real Avocado fan base any more. That fad died hard. Green mush, ummm... yummy?“
“We passed by Sushi & Bento on the way to the St Patrick subway station on Dundas to catch the Rogers Cup (ATP tennis) at the Aviva Center. After spending a tiring 6 hours watching the tennis matches, we decided to pick up takeout on the way home. Ordered a couple of the teriyaki chicken bento boxes at $12.95 each. Back at the hotel, we were quite surprised to find a lot food. The boxes consisted of a miso soup, a small salad, 6 large pieces of California roll, 2 pork gyozas, 5 pieces of tempura (2 prawns, 1 piece each of brocolli, sweet potato, & squash), a small scoop of white rice, a large serving of sliced up chicken (the equivalent of 2 thighs). Although we both weren't able to finish eating all of our dinner due to the large volume of food, I would recommend eating at his establishment.“
“First time visit and you can tell by the queue that never seems to end how popular it is. The choices are straightforward, you order , pay and wait for your monster sandwich to arrive. I had a chicken deluxe without the tomato and it was enough for 2 people. The breaded chicken escalopes were nicely cooked and fresh - I really enjoyed mine and would recommend it.“
“I visit this great restaurant a lot! This is the best place to to have a good dinner. I go to this spot frequently. The cooking is of high quality, the workers are friendly and the price is good. I enjoy going in this place over a decent meal.“

“yes the ramen and the udon noodles may have been more expensive than their downtown equivalent but these were very well done, with a broth that had a good layering of flavours, served quick and hot. Compared to other places at Pearson I would be pleased to eat here again - actually given the quick and friendly service and the fact that I really enjoyed my meal, I'd be happy to go back even if it were in downtown.“
