“We had dinner at Kona last night in Tecumseh on the rooftop. We had a fantastic meal and the service was great, considering there was only one wait staff up there. He did a wonderful job. My only complaint would be the seating. They are funky looking chairs, but they’re SOOOO uncomfortable. I’m 5’6 and the seat was way too deep!! Forces you to sit perched forward, which is really uncomfortable. And the seats are so hard I actually had a very sore tailbone. Other than that it was GREAT!!!!“

“Had a great dinner at the Kona in Lakeshore. First time eating at a sushi restaurant and the service was fantastic. Walked us through the different menu selections and food was quick and amazing. Will be returning for sure!“

“Their sushi and ramen are some of the best I have ever had. This is such a hidden gem in Tecumseh. Their ingredients are extremely fresh and of high quality. They are very consistent and I always recommend that everyone tries them at least once.“

“Such divided reviews!! First off: YES you can get great sushi/sashimi here, in a nice atmosphere, from staff who have a sense of humor. That's 5 stars.
Ok, what about those other reviews? They seem to fall into basically two categories: issues with delivery services, and issues with Americanized dishes.
If you use a delivery service, and the delivery service fails? Blame the delivery service, not the restaurant who is caught in the middle.
If you go to an ethnic restaurant and order authentic ethnic dishes, you're usually on solid ground. But if you go to an ethnic place and order Americanized food (goo goo rolls at a Japanese place), be prepared to get something almost but not quite entirely unlike what you had in mind. It's not that they don't care, it's that they are trying to do something for which there are no real standards.
We love Koi Sushi for their sashimi dishes: a classic Japanese dish that is virtually impossible to be anything but fabulous.
If you want deep fried, hit a chicken place. If you want fresh, tasty sashimi, Koi Sushi will hit the spot!!

“We love this restaurant! Me and my family really enjoyed the sushi and their appetizers. We've been twice here. The owner is absolutely nice in our 1st visit before. We all had all you can eat twice when we came here. I was just a little bit disappointed in the second time visit because we asked the waitress if the ice cream has a charge since it says in their iPad the upgrade charge dessert cause on our 1st time visit it's free which we don't mind. When we asked her she said it's totally free with the all you can eat food. But at the end of our eating we have been charged for ayce upgrade for $6 something. We asked the waitress about it and she said that's the charge of our left over. I find it weird cause we only have 6 little sushi leftover. So that means we have been charge for a dollar in each sushi of leftovers. That's weird. I think the waitress is not aware that the desserts has charge and pretending that's the leftovers because in our 1st time visit we didn't got charge for our leftover little sushi we had.“
