The staff greeted me with genuine smiles, took the time to make sure my order was right, and treated every customer with patience and respect. Even during a busy rush, they stayed calm, polite, and super helpful. You can really see they care about delivering a great experience, not just great food.
It’s rare to find a place where the service matches the quality of the meal, but this A&W absolutely nailed it. I’ll definitely be coming back!”

I'm new to Ottawa and my shawarma standards are high because my hometown has amazing shawarma that no other spots have come close to and I've tried many places already in Ottawa. “Rosabella Pizza seriously surprised me. The flavors are on another level, you can tell the sauce and toppings are made with care, and everything just works together. The crust is exactly what I want in a pizza, and the balance is perfect, enough cheese and toppings without being overloaded.
Also, super friendly service at the counter. It feels like one of those spots you only hear about from locals, but it deserves way more hype. Definitely going back.”

“The meat and cheese pies are to die for! Been going here since they opened up, and is our go to place whenever we need our lebanese meat pie fix. A trick is coming first thing early morning and they are super fresh. They are very friendly and always smiling when working. I've been to other meat pie stores and this is the best quantity and quality of pies in Ottawa region.

I have had a shawarma poutine in the shawarma side of the store and they are good as well!”

It's a great place if you have some important guests to treat. The atomosphere is awesome and the dishes are fancy, but not necessarily priceworthy. These premium parts also gonna reflect on the bill.”

“We received a gift card from a family member for $100 USD as a Christmas Present and were excited about enjoying a meal at this restaurant. The gift card was purchased directly from Joey's, not a 3rd party. We went and everything initially about the restaurant was very enjoyable. The food was very good, the service was attentive and we enjoyed our experience until the cheque arrived. When we we presented the gift card (electronically) our server went to speak with a ⁶manager and then returned to inform us that the $100 USD would be honoured in Canadian dollars. $100 USD is worth $144.50 Canadian dollars according to google when checked today. We paid the bill and tipped the service team 22% and left after effectively having $44.50 taken from us and our family member in what felt like to us, theft by conversion. The manager in question did not come to follow up after our expressing our disappointment JOEY's is already a very expensive restaurant. Further, the gift card information indicates that Joey's has US based restaurants. I'm quite sure that Canadian dollar gift cards are not accepted at par in the US. This ruined for us, what was otherwise a positive experience, through what felt like to us, an act of corporate greed and impersonal profiteering. After this experience we will not be back and sadly, I cannot recommend JOEY's as a place for anyone else to dine at. Any company that sells a gift card directly and then fails to deliver full value is patently dishonest, in my opinion.”
