“We opted for the Szechuan base with ramen noodles and chicken cutlets, and I was particularly impressed with the balance of spicy flavors. The heat was just right—enough to give a kick but not so overwhelming that it left me uncomfortable. The spice brought out the flavors rather than masking them, which can be a challenge with such dishes. The chicken cutlets were deliciously crispy on the outside, yet tender and juicy on the inside, creating a satisfying contrast in texture.
Additionally, we tried the satay-flavored broth with udon noodles and chicken cutlets. The satay was rich and creamy, with the subtle softness of the peanut butter base offering a comforting warmth. The creaminess worked perfectly with the thick udon noodles, creating a dish that would be an ideal comfort food, especially if you’re feeling under the weather. It had that soothing quality that can lift your spirits on a tough day.
The restaurant is conveniently located on Hamilton’s main street, just a short distance from McMaster University, making it an ideal spot for students or those in the area. The ambiance inside is warm and inviting, offering a cozy atmosphere that complements the hearty, comforting dishes on the menu. It’s definitely a spot I’d return to, especially on days when I’m craving something both flavorful and comforting.“

“Szechuan Noodle Bowl is truly a hidden gem. The fact that they’re not world-famous feels like an oversight! Before COVID, their hand-cut noodle bowls were unbeatable in price and portion, and even now, the prices remain incredibly reasonable for the quality and quantity you get. On a cold winter day, this is the perfect spot to warm up with a steaming bowl of Szechuan noodle soup—it’s comfort food at its finest, warming both the stomach and the soul.
The duck plate is also tasty, though it leans on the pricier side for the portion. If you want the best value, stick with the classic noodle bowls—they never disappoint!“

“Food was good- very well packed for takeout. BEWARE- there are 3 noodle me locations- each with the items numbered differently on their menu !! (Why??) the Toronto location is inexplicably called just “downtown “- well, the Hamilton location is also “downtown “. Leads to unnecessary confusion and incorrect orders. Make sure you are ordering the menu called “Hamilon “ or you will not get the correct order! ( ask me how I know…..)“

“I always post reviews out of my heart so here it goes. I LOVE coming here. This is the only Pho place I come to in all of Hamilton. The Owner/Chef is a very down to earth, thoughtful, considerate and a great Chef!! This place makes food like no other place in Hamilton. It’s highly underrated which is why I’m writing this review so many people can come and visit. The quality and service I receive here every single time exceeds my expectations. I have visited many places within the city and outside, but the taste and flavours added to the food I order at this place is just very unique compared to the others. It always brings a smile to my face. Danny (the owner), is very experienced and knowledgable. The care and thoughtfulness he shows towards his customers specifically for vegetarians where I know some might be very picky and specific with their orders just like I am, is what I’m very thankful for and makes me come back here. Just like Danny said, everyone does it differently, but the way you do it matters the most, which brings most of his customers back. I’m very grateful and happy this place is closer to home and I can visit as many as times as I want and order all my favourite food. Some of my favourite items on the list are: veggie spring rolls, veggie ginger based tofu soup and tom yum soup. I won’t stop visiting and will make sure I spread the word because this place deserves it. Thank you for the great hospitality, food and service you provide here that makes me want to come back every single time. Can’t wait to be back.“

“After moving to Burlington, it's been a little hard finding really good Asian eats BUT THIS PLACEEEE ?? so unexpected since its in the food court but they serve such good bahn mi. The bread is perfect and the lemongrass chicken is so good. My partner got the vermicelli noodles and we both agreed that it felt like we were at a sit down resto. We've been back after our first visit and the quality/taste was thankfully the same!“

“We just had a wonderful dinner in this amazing place ,I've been ordering from them for a long time ... The owner is keeping the food and quality at the same standards as his opening day ....Coco is such a pleasant person to talk to also she is always attentive and careful .Never had a glass empty ,always comes and ask if we are happy with the food if we need anything......very good customer service. We are driving 20 min to this restaurant but I would do it all the time and the reason is as I said customer service impeccable, accommodation being vegan lots of restaurants found hard ways to accommodate us ....and on top of everything....the positive energy that flows is just above everyone's expectations.“

Everything we ordered was delicious, freshly prepared and piping hot!
Beef noodle soup, wonton noodle soup and pork stuffed fried bun (only available on the weekend)
The chili oil is SO good! Smoky and deep, perfectly spicy!
Reasonable prices and very good service.
I have to come back and try the rest of the menu.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
