OKO Bagels Reviews
OKO Bagels has some really yummy bagels :)
The food is good quality, the location is a bit strange, the staff is very hit and miss; often disinterested, the customer service aspect is absent. Probably better to order for delivery rather than attending in person
I love the bagels here and it is the cheapest option in the area for a filling lunch. Only $5 for a plain bagel with specialty cream cheese. The young man who occasionally works there is also very helpful and kind. I am deducting a star only because they are almost always out of coffee when I go around 1pm or 2pm. I don’t mind waiting for a new pot to be made but I am usually told that isn’t possible. If this can be fixed I will edit my review and be so happy because...read full review

OKO Bagels offers high-quality Montreal-style bagels and breakfast sandwiches for takeout. Customers can buy large bags of day-old bagels for $5, and the rosemary sea salt bagel with dill cream cheese or the fig and cheese bagel are popular choices. The staff is friendly, and the bagels are known for being authentic and delicious.
The shop shares space with other businesses and operates on a walk-in basis, with no seating available. Many customers say that the taste of the bagels is consistent with what they expect from Montreal-style bagels. The bagels are praised for their flavor and quality, and the staff often go out of their way to correct orders when needed. The everything bagel is especially well-liked, and some customers mention that the bagels are so good they went back twice in a short time.
However, some customers note that the bagel holes are very large, which makes them less ideal for sandwiches. When making egg, bacon, and cheese bagels, melted cheese may slide off, and toppings like tomato, onion, and lettuce often fall out when the bagel is cut in half. Because of this, it can be difficult to spread tuna or egg salad evenly on the thin, hard surface of the bagel, and it may not be suitable for kids’ lunches. Customers suggest that tightening the bagel hole could improve its usefulness for sandwiches, and many would buy again if the bagels were better suited for making sandwiches, especially with school starting soon.
Some customers have also tried their coffee, which they found to be quite good, although the coffee cup lids can leak when drinking. One customer expressed disappointment with a $9.95 BLT made by a new employee, saying it was less satisfying compared to other places, but generally, the sandwiches are considered better than other options. Overall, the tiny shop, located at the front of a large hair salon, offers a cute and quirky spot where customers enjoy the bagels enough to return quickly and frequently.
