“I had yet another wonderful experience with General Brock’s Commissary recently, ordering a fun box of local goodies to be sent out of province. It was my first meeting of their Assistant Manager, who in true GBC form made several helpful suggestions, was enthusiastic about my purpose, patient with my dithering indecision, and cheerfully bent over backwards to make the tricky parts of my last-minute order work well. Not only are they well-stocked with lots of Canadian products for these high-tariff times, much of what I saw was not only from Ontario, but local to the Kingston area. I can’t recommend these folks enough.“

“This is a convenient ice cream shop downtown with friendly staff. Everything is top-notch at this location and the ice cream deserves a full 5/5 score.

But based on my most recent visit during the heat wave this week I was disappointed there were no cold drinks available. The owners should consider installing a proper drink cooler display. $3.25 for a room-temperature Fiji water bottle is excessive. This location has bottles of Pop Shoppe sitting on the counter as well. It's summer and it's hot. Give the people what they want COLD drinks.

Kid-friendliness: There are lots of great ice cream options for kids and the staff are great with kids.“
