“We took our cousin from Alymer to The Main last Saturday. I am writing this because of her comments. We had told her it was our favourite dinner restaurant in town and she quickly found out why. She had the 3 Napkin Burger (?) and loved it! It made me realize just how great this restaurant is. She commented about the decor, particularly the fantastic Christmas tree. It made me realize that every time we have been to The Main over the years, the food has always been excellent, the service great, and a guaranteed good evening out. I wish that pickerel could be added to the menu - we love the perch however. Thanks to Heather and Tom for providing such a nice relaxed atmosphere in this restaurant gem.“

“Every single thing they have is delicious. This is food made the right way! I've never once been disappointed in anything they have. Banana cream pie is my favorite type of pie and Heritage Bakery has by far the best banana cream pie I've ever had! Such a gem.“

“Came in for a birthday party and the staff was absolutely amazing, from the get go our waitress was able to accomodate a shellfish and seafood allergy. Although there weren't many non vegetarian options for the seafood allergy, she still made is aware of the options and even checked in with us on which items were cross contaminated. They allowed us to bring in our own cake and decorations which was definitely a plus. The pricing was standard for all you can eat, the only regret is that the girl with the seafood allergy paid full price after only eating a couple pieces of edamame and some cucumber salad. Other than that we had a wonderful experience and hope to return soon.“

The portion size is more than reasonable for its price.

Though the outside doesn't look like much, I'd strongly recommend trying this place. Not too often have I been to a restaurant and have had a staff member go out of their way for a recommendation. It shows me they enjoy what they serve there and it's a big green light to me.

Plan on going back sooner than later.

We do enjoy a good charcuterie board, and the unanimous decision was the Antipasto Misto. Beautifully crafted and presented with three delicious meats, cheeses, dipping oil, olives and fresh fruit, crostini. Everything paired perfectly with their delicious sangria. And we took a chilled bottle of the sangria to enjoy later. As visitors from the US, we thank you for a world class experience.“
