“It's easy to miss but we'll worth the trip! Small and very welcoming restaurant. Great food (really like the potato and chicken curry). Strongly recommend?Vegetarian options: Several tasty choices for vegetarians.Parking: The restaurant is in a small narrow strip mall and the entrance is easy to miss. There are only a few spots right in front but there is plenty more parking space in the back.“

“Ok let's be real: this place is out of the way. This is not walking distance to anywhere. Now that's out of the way, let me start with: it's worth the drive. This is the best Thai restaurant in Ottawa and area that I've ever been. The pad thai is excellently authentic, the duck was a delish (the sauce and veggie stood out here), the soup is extremely rich and the spring roll is full and crunchy. Heck, even the dipping sauce is nothing I've ever tasted before.“

“Super excited to find a Chinese restaurant that has very authentic Cantonese flavours and is probably one of the only places in Ottawa that has a similar taste to what you can find in Toronto. Wok Hey seems to have inherited the Google Maps page of the previous restaurant but it is in fact under new ownership since about 7 months ago.We got the pepper salt pork chop, fish with tofu, and stir fried rice noodles with beef. Everything was cooked well and the seasoning is spot on for our tastes. The noodles had some wok hei flavour, the pork chop was fried nicely and with a good amount of aromatics, and the fish tofu had a freshly fried tofu and a good sauce that held its texture till the end of the meal.Staff are very nice. 10% off pick up orders. We will definitely be back to try more dishes.“

“We did a take-out this past week, spending over 140$. I found that their Pad-Si-ew was quite bland. Pad Kee Maow was also bland (for a dish that costs over $23) was a bit disappointing. I am not sure that I would say this was truly authentic Thai cuisine either. The veggie stir-fry was also so-so and costs over $22. These prices were for the dinner menu. I find them overpriced as per quality. I lived in Thailand for a few years and I have been to many restaurants in Toronto, Montreal. Unfortunately, I think Thai Flame is overrated (4.6 out of 5)??? You might still find a dish that you like, but too pricey for what it is.“

“Like the saying goes, the best restaurants are those off the beaten path, and Baan Thai is no exception found in a little strip mall in Centerpointe. Had lunch which began with a very flavourful soup. The two dishes shown in the photos are the green curry with chicken and the combo platter. The green curry is my go to dish for comparisons between Thai restaurants, and the Baan Thai curry is great and rich. Could have been spicier for a green curry, but next time I'll ask for more best. Everything in the combo platter was tasty. The restaurant is nicely decorated in typical purple and gold Thai colours, but is on the small size with limited seating, and it was full for lunch. They may take reservations for larger groups. Parking is free in the lot.“

“For a tiny takeaway spot, this place is pretty great. We've enjoyed everything we've tried from Pinn-To and will definitely continue to order from here. Fast preparation, tasty food, nice range of spice (love me some food with kick), good sized portions. Giving four stars only because they are a small, independent operation, and as a result sometimes close at odd times with little notice. At least once we have planned to order food during their posted business hours, but upon calling to order got a voice-mail indicating they closed early that day. Disappointing because we love the food and had been looking forward to it.“

“Food was good but I was shocked by the portion sizes this time around! Not only did prices go up significantly, but the portion sizes were half the usual! The cake in a box used to be $6 for twice the size. Now it’s $8.10 for half the size.We got two pad Thai and the bowls arrived and were only half full. I know we are dealing with either inflation or shrinkflation….but this is the first time I’ve seen both at once. Not the individual restaurants fault I guess, but company wide, this seems crazy“

“A tiny take-out heavy restaurant in an unassuming location, this restaurant speaks for itself with its big flavours. We have brought several friends here and unfortunately got them addicted! Sorry friends! The flavours are big, the portions as well, and they use a huge variety of veggies in their dishes. Their green curry and Thai coconut chicken are my favourite (the latter is ADDICTIVE). Quick notes: they do their pad see ew with the same thin noodles as their pad Thai. The pad Thai is on the sweeter side (still yum). Green curry has a kick but isn’t the spiciest I have ever had. Rice is ordered on the side, unless you get a combo plate (great value!!)Vegetarian options: Tofu substitute for many of the meat dishes“

“Our go-to after endlessly searching for a consistently clean, fresh and delicious spot for takeout. Their open ended egg rolls > golden palace. No funky smells or stale ingredients that you get sometimes at T&T or other restaurants. Staff always friendly and food always packed well with tons of soy sauce, cookies and perks when you spend certain amounts.“

“Went for dinner. It was our first time, as a friend recommended it. We didn’t make reservations but we were well received. As I have problems with drafts, the server gave us a few options to choose from. The decor is bright, cheerful and authentic (as far as I can tell). The menu had plenty of options for every taste. Our server was gracious in speech and knew the menu well including common allergens (I have a serious cow byproduct sensitivity). The food was well prepared and very fresh! The presentation was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The waiting staff ever vigilant but not intrusive. Our water glasses and rice dish never went empty. When we were done dinner, we were offered a doggy bag. And our server topped up the rice. We continued to chat and never felt rushed. The entire experience was a delight for all the senses!!“

“I just ordered for Valentine’s Day, for the first time. And I was blown away! For such a little spot in gas station, I didn’t have high expectations but they were blown out of the water! We had a pad Thai and red curry with chicken, red and green peppers, peanuts and green beans, with rice, and spring rolls. -Spring rolls were FRESH and so crispy on the outside. YUM. -Pad Thai was some of the best I’ve had in the city -Curry was delish Could use some fresh lime with the order, otherwise excellent and I will be ordering again. Thank you!“

“I've eaten here before and it's always been great. Yesterday, we had the salmon and tuna sashimi the calamari and the seared beef salad. It was all fantastic, but the seared beef salad was absolutely incredible. Our service was also fantastic. Thank you so much!!“
