From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy autumn charm that made the evening feel truly special. “Saray is bright, colourful and fun. The food was unreal and super affordable. We’re glad we held off on ordering mains - 4 starter dips and 1 salad was MORE than enough for the 3 of us. “My husband and i had take out from this restuarant a couple of months ago and the food was really good!

So We ordered catering from Ala Turk for our baby shower,l last night, and it was DELICIOUS, FRESH with nice and clean presentation.. we ordered a platter of meats with rice , salad, dips and bread.. our guests asked for take away.. which is a great sign! Delivery was exactly on time. The fresh baked warm pita breads were INCREDIBLE we made stuffed sandwiches with the dips and salad WOW 👌🏼 also your hot peppers are a great unexpected treat with the meats.

“We haven't tasted such delicious raw meatballs in a long time. We had an excellent time with our group of friends at Mahmood Çiğ köfte. Mr. Mahmood is very polite and kind. We also thank you for the free tea service. We will come again as soon as possible. I recommend it to everyone.“

“Just amazing! 2 weeks in a row I’ve had the chicken doner wrap. It is BIG! So juice and tasty with all the chicken and I’m not one for salad but it tastes so fresh. My new weekly take out for sure. This is a little gem of a place.“

“The place is nice, a decent amount of seating available (booths). Staff was really nice and they confirmed all food allergens for us for when we asked.

The food was really good and they offer free tea at the end of the meal!

“Iskender was bad. Spices used were different than used in the real Turkish döner. Lahmacun was broken into pieces and cold. No lemon, parsley and onions were delivered with lahmacun.I ordered from this restaurant again and this time food was great. I realized that actually the delivery was bad. So, I am changing my review to 5 stars.“

“Whether you’re looking for the best schwarma sandwich or schwarma salad (they call it an Open Face Salad- no carbs)
In my opinion, the place to go is Sofra Istanbul. If you are near Steeles Ave and Hwy 400, this restaurant is very well priced, fresh, tasty, has a wide variety and great service too!!!
It’s a middle eastern food emporium.
This is one of 3 places in Toronto I considere 10/10.“

“I was in the area, driving around super hungry, approaching closing hour for many places and I really didn't want A&W/McD/Popeyes etc. Saw the word Shawarma looked open and yay pulled in here...but they were at end of the day and nothing on the spit. What's a girl who knows virtually nothing about Turkish food options, and without reading glasses to see the menu well, to do? The nice people made me something and off I went with my little hot package, still not quite totally knowing what I had in store. So....yum hello a fluffy and crispy baked flatbread with edges folded over, nicely spiced beef, some cheese...ahah! I just gobbled it down. And now I know what Pide is! And even better have another good place to go when around Downsview.“

“I am Korean Canadian with a pretty normal palate for food. I have become a regular here for the breads and pastry. In particular I love their personal sized pizzas and a tubular pastry that has feta and spinach Burek I think, I forget the name but absolutely the most crispy flaky and delicious breakfast I can have. Seems (pronounce Shems) is the gentlman usually behind the counter who is just the kindest man. They also have raw honey which my kids loved and I just tried the cherry drink. Good stuff especially for my gout. I am a customer for life~“

One star deducted cause the Traditional Turkish breakfast is served with bread which was not enough for our order. ordering extra bread comes with an extra charge which i think is unfair.“
