“I went to their branch near Wilson before and didn't particularly like it but decided to check out this branch. I think their quality of pizza was a lot better, shawarma was juicy and the garlic sauce was great! Service is very straightforward as its more like an order and head out kind of place. Conveniently located outside the subway station!“

“Came here for the first time today. The owner was the one who took and made our order, he's nice, while there's a woman inside that was just on her phone, could have helped accelerate our order. Food wise is nothing special, but good portion. It's not busy and it's at the intersection.“

“Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure to enjoy a delicious Turkish food in this place. I was visiting the city with my family and we were hungry and decided to enter this restaurant. The first thing calling my attention was the ambience and decoration of the place which transport you in an imaginary trip to Turkey. Then the staff of the restaurant, really nice people who explained to me in detail the menu, and their attention was really spectacular. Lastly the food, a combination of flavors that please our palates. This is a small place with worthy prices. I highly recommend it. By the way, one of the guys who served our plates talked to me about the seasoning used in the salad, (Sumak). Now this is my favorite ingredient in my salads. Thank you very much.“

“We thoroughly enjoyed dining at Chef Mustafa for the second time. The food is flavourful and the portions are ample. We had the Crispy Feta Rolls to start as an appetizer and the pastry was flaky and nice. There are a lot of choices for apps but we did not want to fill up. We had the Iskender dinner (wonderful marinated beef) and the Chicken Curry. They were both heartily enjoyed. They have an outdoor patio that seems like it would be nice to sit at in nice weather and enjoy the buzz of The Danforth. Service was attentive. As I mentioned, the portions are quite ample, the prices are more than reasonable so make sure you bring your appetite.“

“There is nothing I love more than Kezy Doner. Every time I go the food is utter perfection and I love everything about it. Life is beautiful when I go to Kezy Doner to have my beef doner; extra garlic and hot sauce.

I have gone here more times than I could even begin to count and somehow it gets better and better each time. I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY DO IT!

The owners are so kind and generous and patient as well. I WILL NEVER STOP GOING TO KEZY!! I LOVE IT!

The prices are extremely affordable, service is very quick, and the cafe is owned by the kindest gentleman and his pet bird. There are always the newspapers of the day available to read at your table and sunlight streaming in through the big windows. Arabesque is one of my favourite comfy places to stop in for a falafel wrap and I recommend it to everyone!“

Update Sep20: they renovated and painted the restaurant. Now, it is even much more recommended. This time we ordered Kebap and doner and both were perfect.
The best genuine, authentic Turkish food you may have in Toronto. Staff are hospitable, food portion is huge, and the tasty food is served with some free Salad. I visited there in Family day and without reservation, it took 40 mins to sit. No Kebap was available that time. But both Iskender and Pide were delicious. All in all, I recommend the restaurant.“

“I had a wonderful experience at Almast Turkish Delight Cafe at Dixie & Dundas. I tried their cold baklava and Turkish tea, and both were absolutely delicious. The baklava was perfectly chilled, rich, and not overly sweet, while the tea was authentic and refreshing — a perfect pairing.

“I am Korean Canadian with a pretty normal palate for food. I have become a regular here for the breads and pastry. In particular I love their personal sized pizzas and a tubular pastry that has feta and spinach Burek I think, I forget the name but absolutely the most crispy flaky and delicious breakfast I can have. Seems (pronounce Shems) is the gentlman usually behind the counter who is just the kindest man. They also have raw honey which my kids loved and I just tried the cherry drink. Good stuff especially for my gout. I am a customer for life~“

“This is probably my favourite café in the Yonge and Eglinton area. The coffee is great, and they have a really nice selection of craft coffee as well as assorted teas, pastries, and sandwiches.

I love the staff — I usually go when the two (I’m assuming Irish!) are there. It honestly feels like I’m transported from the city to a small-town Irish café. If you enjoy a cozy, rustic tavern vibe with a touch of Celtic charm, this is such a great spot to be.
