Clean and beautiful restaurant. Nice and cozy Chinese decor. The food is delicious and well presented. Good pricing set. Service is excellent and the staffs are very friendly.
Comfortable restaurant with great service and fantastic food. Their soup dumplings are delicious and juicy. Protein with sweet and sour sauce is my guilty pleasure and their variant with fish was the best sweet and sour dish I've ever had. Would highly recommend a visit.

The salty pork and tofu in soup features many chunks of pork belly with balanced fatty and lean parts, and the braised pork with vegetables (Dong Po Rou) has a well-balanced flavor with succulent fat caps. The braised shred eel has a thick, umami sauce that pairs well with white rice. The restaurant also offers other popular dishes like steamed soup dumplings, pan-fried pork dumplings, mu shu pork, and hot & sour soup, all prepared with authentic flavors. The decor is clean and cozy with a nice Chinese style, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The food is well presented and tasty, and the staff provides excellent, friendly service. Prices are reasonable, making it a good choice for families and friends. Overall, A La Kitchen is a solid place for tasty Shanghai cuisine, comparable or better than the more well-known Din Tai Fung across the street.
