The restaurant was quiet, with a few take out orders, which we appreciate when dining with a toddler who can make our break others dinners rather quickly. The service was impeccable, and the food came out quick and was delicious. Our son has an allergy and the cook went above and beyond to come out and chat with us regarding different things he shouldn’t have, as well as special touches she did in order to accommodate him. “To be able to get authentic, tasty Caribbean food in Angus, ON is awesome! Mona's is a take out place. Tonight, hubby had Jerk Chicken with Rice & Peas, and a side of the best Macaroni salad out there. I ordered Curried Chicken, but since it was almost sold out, Mona made me a triple combo of the curry, some curried goat, and some oxtail. It was SO GOOD!! I love all 3 of the salads offered, but my favourite is the macaroni. If you love Jamaican food, you need to visit Mona's!!”

Sweet escape offers super friendly, courteous service in a super cosy atmosphere filled with different tables and cute little antique add Farmish charm. I had the Italian pasta with sausage and sauce with peppers and it was absolutely delicious. I could not put my fork down. My wife had the meatball risotto and it was delicious equally. Our first time here they even threw in a few slices of garlic bread for us to take home. What a wonderful stop on route or from your destination if you’re looking for something absolutely delicious to eat and when you’re done eating, I could even grab some ice cream or tasty treats. The cakes were moist and flavourful, nothing was too sweet or overpowering, and Melena is very truthful about answering questions about quantity to order based on party size. “They are now my go to pizza stop at the beach. I love the convenience and the price. They have a great selection to chose from and it’s fun to order and see the process then have the pizza come out of the slot, hot and ready to eat in 3 minutes.
