“Pleasant surprise of a sushi joint hidden in Stayner. Great sushi, great service, great prices. I ordered a couple platters for a party and they threw in a few bonus dishes! I'd go back in a heartbeat. Keep in mind the restaurant is tiny and essentially take-out only”

“I’m not really sure what makes them so different but they just are. Buns are always soft and fresh not dry like they’d been sitting out all day like other locations. I always leave feeling satisfied. The owners are on site and working hard. Great job!”

“Brought our U9 hockey team there for lunch today while in Clearview for a tournament. Called the day before as we were in a jam and did not have a lunch spot for the kids and parents. The staff at Friends went above and beyond ensuring they had enough employees and tables to manage our 45 person party (with less then 24 hours notice). They asked what time our next game was and coordinated to ensure we were fed and out the door with time to spare ahead of our next game. Both the food and service was excellent. For an independent restaurant we were blown away by how organized and prepared they were to manage such a large group. I would recommend Friends Pub to anyone visiting Clearview who is looking to grab a pint and some comfort pub food.”

“As for gas station add-ons goes, coffee time is a good fit. I was served promptly and enjoyed my freshly brewed decaf coffee. The staff are friendly and efficient running the gas station and servicing the coffee time customers.

“Love this place. Very reminiscent of some mom and pop shop hole in the wall you would find in China Town in any city. No dine in, but instead a grab and go which is great. Call ahead. Food and prices are reasonable. So many bad reviews but I've never had a bad experience. Woman at the front cash has always been courteous. I can't imagine how ignorant you have to be as a customer to receive bad service here. Smiles go a long way. 😃”

“Loved it. A go-to spot when you're craving a mix of fast food and frozen treats. Kids loved their Blizzards and Chicken strip basket. I enjoyed the burger( grilled) and crispy fries. Portions were fair for the price, and service was quick and friendly.”

“We had an amazing experience at the Tremont. We made the reservation to celebrate my birthday. When we arrived, Mel (our extremely attentive server), showed up with two complimentary glasses of champagne to toast my birthday. My husband ordered the lobster tail appetizer and the duck confit. He loved the crispy skin and the tender meat. He said both were delicious. His only criticism was he received half of a lobster tail, he expected the whole tail. In his opinion it was butterflied and he got half. My dinner was superb. I cannot even begin to describe the flavour profile of the pork belly. It was caramelized to perfection, a beautiful crunch on the outside with a melt in your mouth pork center. The acidic contrast from the pomegranate was divine. Hen of the woods is a whole earthy experience on its own. The complexity, umami, textures, richness of flavours, variety and presentation are an exquisite combination …a very elevated, elegant, yet woodsy dish. Just when we thought we could not eat another bite, Mel arrived with a complimentary slice of a chocolate, peanut butter dessert that reminded me of crème caramel texture. Topped with a birthday candle. I had the French 75 cocktail, one of my favourites ( I thought I could detect a hint of herbal flavour to it). It was perfect. Thank you for a memorable evening.”

“There really are no words that can fairly describe our gastronomical experience at The Pine. It was more than a Chef's Tasting with sixteen different courses, it was a night full of delights to your tastebuds and flavours that you had never tasted before and that made you yearn for more. Each course was magical and unusual and when you thought it couldn't get any better - it did. The spectacular food was complimented by an entourage of friendly staff that were so knowledgeable and dedicated, it heightened the enjoyment. We commented on how it was like a dance - one that you could tell provided joy for themselves, as well as the guests. Chef Jeremy Austin is brilliant. His creativity was over the top creating the most unusual dishes that were a delight to your taste buds. This was an experience that I would recommend to all those who love food and want the very best, not only in this local area, but anywhere in the world - just amazing! Most certainly deserving of the Michelin Star they were just rewarded. We will be back!”

“Went for the first time tonight for their ramen special and it was amazing. I have been to Japan and eat a lot of ramen which makes me a pretty good judge.

Well we went back and this time we tried cold ramen. I was a bit hesitant but it was really good especially in the warmer weather.

After the end of this month the ramen chef will be gone until September (fingers crossed).”

“While I did a phone in order and picked it up, looked around at the many people eating dinner in and it looked great. I was picking up our order of Haddock and chips with a side of slaw. I also added an onion rings in lieu of the fries on the 2nd meal. Took it home to eat and I must say it was too shelf. Fish size was more than enough and the right thickness. Lots of fries, maybe too many for me and the coleslaw was delicious. I am so impressed that this Wasaga gem was everything that I heard it would be. 👍👍”
