“Baan Thai is hands down one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve ever been to! From the moment we walked in, the experience was exceptional. The waiter serving us was incredibly kind and patient, which meant so much since we had two young kids with us. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely incredible! Every bite was bursting with authentic flavors, and it’s clear they use the freshest ingredients. From the classic Pad Thai to their unique variations of traditional dishes, everything we ordered was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It’s rare to find a place that balances authenticity with approachability so well.

The portion sizes were very generous, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality and quantity of food we received. We left feeling completely satisfied, both in terms of taste and value.

We just had one open up close toe in Aylmer, and it is too sweet and the tofu is rock hard..it was gross..
This location reaffirmed my love of Thai express...go here it is worth the price(15$)

“Liu's is our go-to for Chinese food in town. The open ended eggrolls are delicious! Staff is very courteous and we've never had any issues with taste or temperature of food as we do pick up. Many complaints about food being cold or taking awhile to deliver? But that's not the restaurant's fault; take that up with your delivery service.“

“I've eaten here before and it's always been great. Yesterday, we had the salmon and tuna sashimi the calamari and the seared beef salad. It was all fantastic, but the seared beef salad was absolutely incredible. Our service was also fantastic. Thank you so much!!“

“This family run restaurant is a hidden gem. I have tried many Pad Thais and this restaurant has the best Pad Thai I have ever had. This restaurant is most accommodating in helping my son, who has gluten and soy sensitivities, find things he can eat. “I just ordered for Valentine’s Day, for the first time. And I was blown away! For such a little spot in gas station, I didn’t have high expectations but they were blown out of the water! We had a pad Thai and red curry with chicken, red and green peppers, peanuts and green beans, with rice, and spring rolls. -Spring rolls were FRESH and so crispy on the outside. YUM. -Pad Thai was some of the best I’ve had in the city -Curry was delish Could use some fresh lime with the order, otherwise excellent and I will be ordering again. Thank you!“

We have been passing their Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday outdoor advertisement for buy 1 get 1 specials.

Tonight, stopped by for take-out. OMG red curry with tofu and vegetables (buy 1 get 1). The curry is DELISH. You need rice to soak up all that curry juice. The tofu was plenty and vegetables were astoundingly fresh. I'd give this place 6 or 7 stars if I could.

We will be regulars !!!

“Very tasty pad see ew. My first thought was on how light the colour of the sauce was. I was worried it would taste plain. I was very surprised at the level of flavour achieved with such a light sauce. The next test is how does the beef taste. It tasted fresh and delicious on its own. No hiding old flavour with heavy sauce. The veggies were all fresh and delicious.

9/10 - would love to try all there other dishes.

“Crazy Pho You has gone through a lot of owners over the last few years. My girlfriend and I used to go there when it was the original owners and it was amazing. After they left, it got rocky. The food wasn’t very good for a while and we stopped going.

We decided to try it again under this new management and I can honestly say Crazy Pho You is back!! That food was incredible. The broth was so rich and concentrated and the meat was so tender and fatty. The restaurants New decor feels refreshed and cozy, and the service was kind. We’re already making plans to go back.“

“Best thai express in Ottawa. 'I drop $20 dish here with my Extra options. My fam and I been coming here for 5 years and I will say the service / quality has only gotten better. I regularily order pad thai, stir fry, and pad see eew for myself and my fam. Some places will give you soup instead of noodles because theres too much sauce, but these guys cook the noodles right. They always have their side-sauces available AND with big containers (Why do other locations use small containers? kills me). The rice is always delicious,.. everything is made fast, but not with disrespect. I don't get shrimp because shrimp is weak, so I can't say about shrimp but the beef and chicken is always plentiful.“

I suspect the food truck parked at the back produces the food, which is fine. Docked a star due to limited drink options and an odd atmosphere for a sit down restaurant. “I on a whim popped into this little gem a few months ago. Since then I've probably ordered 10 times since then.

The satay skewers are delicious, the peanut sauce is outstanding, the green curry with chicken i crave now, and the tom yum is always enjoyable.

Great prices. I haven't tried all the Thai places in Ottawa but I do love this spot. Usually a tom yum, green curry and a side of rice is 2-3 meals for me, or great to split with my partner.“

“I am rating this a 5 for the food. Hands down, DELICIOUS. We adored the pork banh mi and my girlfriend said it was the best chow mein she had ever had (and she has tried a LOT of chow mein!) Now, some of the reviews mention that the place could be a bit more hygienic (true!) and they also mention a female server who pays more attention to her phone than the customers. That has been my experience as well; she scowled so hard at me I felt unwelcome in the restaurant. Luckily when other people are on shift, they are much friendlier.

At first, I thought I was being over-sensitive about the female server, but when I brought others and she happened to be there, they revealed they felt the same way even though I hadn't even mentioned it.

Recently, I saw that server again and she was much happier and more attentive. I wonder if something had gone wrong in her life that affected her. All in all, I think the food is amazing and I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.“
