“I've been ordering takeout from this place for over 15 years. The food is amazing, they can basically do any dish you want and it will be good. I like their vermicelli plates and their chinese food. They also have excellent seafood and fried rice.

I would definitely recommend eating here if you're hungry :)“

“Ate at the new Hawkesbury location: Incredible, authentic Thai cuisine. Super great service only surpassed by the amazing food. Had: Chicken Satay, Fresh Spring Rolls, Panang Curry, Green Curry, Pad Thai, and Crispy Tofu, with a Sticky Mango dessert. Perfect for individual or sharing plates. “We went during the Victoria Day long weekend after going to the Ottawa Tulip Festival. All restaurants were busy that weekend and although we made a reservation at a different restaurant, they reached capacity and the long wait would have gotten us late to see the fireworks and drone show. This restaurant was able to seat us and the two girls working there were so accommodating, patient and sweet. Food was great and the decor was cute! Will definitely go again to try other dishes.“

“Good food, small space and big heart! Social Thai serves good food in a small space run by the nicest people. Don't judge the place from the outside. It is tiny with just a few tables. Venture inside for good food. We started with veggie and shrimp eggrolls, crispy and tasty. We had curry for the main course. Spicyness was subtle and potent but not overwhelming. We finished our meals with some delicious pistachio and chocolate pastries. If space and surroundings matter to you, try their take out. “Finally today, I decided to go back to Thai Express. I work just across the street and due to bad customer service from my previous experiences, I avoided the place. Today, I thought to give them another chance, and I thought to myself that I would just suck it up on the bad service. Well, I received burnt food for takeout. Customer service was finally improved because the regular girl cashier no longer worked there, but how could you possibly serve customers burnt food? You can smell it as you were cooking and you can see the blackness. There's a snow storm out so I didn't bother to go back, so I had to eat this terrible food I paid for. The franchisor of Thai Express really should be aware of this place, I have heard nothing but horrible things about them. And once again, they have proved everyone right.

“I love Thai food, and Thai Express is usually my go-to when a craving hits. I’ve tried almost all the locations in Gatineau, and as we all know, every place cooks a little differently. There are two Thai Express restaurants near me in Plateau, but I wasn’t too impressed with them.

Then I tried this location — and wow, it was so tasty! It’s about a 25-minute drive from my home, but I’m more than willing to make the trip because the food is that good.

My only complaint is the limited hours: it closes at 4 p.m. Monday to Friday and is closed on weekends (since it’s inside a government building).

Salt and pepper shrimp was nice but missing the crunch factor cause it was skinless. But lots of people prefer peeled shrimp - so this is the place for those people. I just prefer the crunch from the non peeled salt and pepper shrimp :)“

I have been to many Thai express during the road trips across East Ontario and Quebec and I always expect the same taste for my Pad Thai. However, the tastes are all slightly different from restaurant to restaurant. This restaurants gives the taste that I expect and I believe this is what chain restaurants value the most.

Plus, the kitchen area and tables are always kept clean, staff is quite but very professional.“
