I normally eat at the Finch West location but was in the neighbourhood. Ordered takeout. Live in Barrie.
Tried the Shrimp pakoras in the car in the parking lot as they’re a special treat and it had been a busy afternoon. Sadly, they were very over cooked. Dry and crumbly throughout. I had waited for this takeout meal, which was fine, but I didn’t bring the dish back to be remade.

Based on customer reviews, Hakka No. 1 Cuisine is a solidly reliable spot for Indo-Chinese food. The menu is wide with large portions, and the price-value balance is very fair. Parking is available, and cleanliness was fine. For first-timers, it is highly recommended. Customers can ask for extra spicy, and the restaurant will throw in nice hot peppers.
