“I bought a platter of fatayer. They were pretty good, but when I was picking it up, I’m sure they my platter out for quite some time and just wished it was fresh, but I would give them the benefit that out because I know they do make good food..“

“This truly was a 10 out of 10 experience! The owner welcomed us with warmth and friendliness that instantly made us feel at home. He generously shared the story behind his restaurant and the care that goes into each dish. As I stepped inside, the first thing that captured my attention was how clean and bright the restaurant was—it was inviting in the best possible way. The complimentary water and coffee were such thoughtful touches, adding to the welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. I had the chicken shawarma plate and was introduced to the garlic paste (not just a sauce!), which was nothing short of amazing. The food was served hot and bursting with flavor. As the child of Caribbean parents, I can easily spot food that lacks seasoning, but this was definitely well seasoned. I would recommend this place and can’t wait to return for another meal!“

“First time at Amal. 3 Michelin awards. Beautiful restaurant. Stylish, open. Great service. Accepted the recommendations of our server and had a truly amazing meal. Manager checked in with us. Just a great experience. Only knock is it is quite loud. Would definitely try again primarily for the amazing food, but would ask for a quieter table.“

“The beef shawarma was THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD!!!
I gobbled it down, so no pictures...
But when I moan and can't stop saying, "It is so good!!!", it can't not be true.
The lady who helped me was such a sweet lady as well. I appreciated the service.
Definitely going back, even though I have to go out of my way.“

“This place is a sure gem! Everything from the top notch service to the clean and neat environment, to the exquisite desserts. We were so impressed. I had the 'Fruitmania' and it was very good. It was the first time trying ashta and the more I ate it, the more I fell in love with it. It was perfectly paired with the strawberry and mango juice. The right amount of sweetness! Ali, the owner, was so kind and attentive. We most definitely will be back! Can't wait for summer to enjoy the wonderful options for cold desserts and beverages. Thank you!“

“Arabesque is something special—a rare and welcoming heartbeat in a city that’s lost much of its spirit. The falafel is hands down the best in town, and the price makes it almost feel like a secret. The limited hours only underline the care and quality that go into every dish. When it’s open, you’re lucky to be there.“

“Just got home from having an early dinner with a friend, at Tabule on Yonge. The food was great and the service was excellent. We got there early just before the dinner rush when there was still a special appetizer menu and decided to share several of them between between us. Stuffed grape leaves, tabule, Rakat Bil Jibneh ( halloumi cheese in phyllo!) and Sambousek (pastry stuffed with seasoned beef). They were all great. For desert we had Lebanese Lattes and Baklava. The servers Eren and Renia were warm and very attentive even as the place started to get more and more crowded. I would highly recommend Tabule on Yonge for a meal with friends or a date night.“

“This is my favorite Falafel place. BEST FALAFEL IN THE CITY! I've had lunch and dinner here. Staff is so friendly! ❤️ the falafel sandwich and plate! SO YUMMY!
Dietary restrictions: Garlic is without eggs! So, a great vegan place! IIRC, onions are absent as well, which I prefer.
Wheelchair accessibility: It's accessable. Bathroom is in the basement though.“

“Delicious Manoush!! We went recently and enjoyed the food, we’re going again insha Allah tomorrow!!“
“One of the Best shawarmas I had in Toronto. It is meaty and saucy - they way I like it. Love that the have a hotdog sausage in the shawarma. I ordered the sweet potato fries too - which were also great The meat is tender and fresh - seems like you are eating thighs but it’s actually chicken breast. Highly recommended“

They always assist in setting up and give us signs for each item. The signs list any dietary restrictions. The staff is kind, friendly and very helpful. The catering experience is seamless.

“So went here for dinner last night (8 of us) at around 6:30pm ...friday night, can't lie, it's a different vibe when you walk in, almost banquet hall like. It was fairly empty. Two young ladies at the front (super pleasant). We had a fantastic meal. The price was super reasonable, we ordered the platter for 4 and a platter for 2. Plentiful food, really delicious, asked for more pita bread for our hummus / babaghanoush, they brought it without question. We all had a great experience here. I'd definately go back.“

“The large Michelin-recommended sign at the entrance certainly sets high expectations, and in many ways, the experience lived up to that. Service was nearly flawless—attentive, professional, and warm throughout the evening. The cocktails were a definite highlight: creative, well-balanced, and expertly crafted.
The food, while good overall, didn’t quite reach the same heights. A cabbage dish had a lovely sauce, but the cabbage itself felt undercooked and was difficult to eat, with the filling being rather plain. The bureg had a rich, doughy texture, but the filling was slightly too runny and lacked structure. Dessert, though flavorful, was let down by an overly thick tart shell that overwhelmed the filling.
While the meal had strong points and was enjoyable, a few refinements would elevate it to match the Michelin-level promise the sign suggests.“
