“As a California transplant, I’ve been looking for good Mexican food since I moved to Toronto. I’m so happy I found Gorditas! I usually default to steak but when the owner said the carnitas was their best seller, I knew I had to try it. Hoooolllyyyy… it was the best carnitas I’ve ever had! And the chicharron gordita was amazing too! I’m literally looking at their menu again tonight thinking when I can go back. Yup, it’s that good.

“I got the bean soup and the enchiladas that come with mole sauce, replacing the meat with soy and the cheese with vegan cheese. Absolutely amazing. The soup was also the best bean soup I've had. And free chips and salsa to start. Definitely recommend.“

“I don’t know who it was that was serving me, but there was a gentleman there that was just so kind and patient with me. I have dietary restrictions and he worked with me to ensure that my food was completely vegetarian for me. He built my bowl and directed the staff to make my fries in a specific way and I really appreciated that! The food was very tasty and had a lot of flavour, the extra spicy sauce is a must! Price is also just right for the amount of food you get, 10/10!“

“I purchased five tacos al pastor for 25$- they were double tortilla which is a must so they don't break apart- the flavours were pretty good- they added sauces which added to the entire flavour and not that spicy but test a little before you try yoursThe location is usually busy considering it's inside a very popular hispanic food market/general stores. The parking can be quite challenging because the front ones are usually taken so you will need to venture to the back of the building for make shift and messy parking (you can enter from the back as well, right into the food court)There usually is a line up to order from here because many people seem to enjoy it. There are various taco restaurants in the same building, however I am yet to try their tacos.All in all, 5$ a taco isn't too uncommon for the GTA, however, this should come with an amazing tasting result and this place is good but not worth the price tag. I may return to try different types of tacos but I look forward to trying other taco locations before then“

“Hands down, one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. Perfectly wrapped, stuffed to the brim, and bursting with flavour in every bite. The rice was fluffy, the beans were seasoned just right, and the meat (I went with the carnitas) was tender and juicy with just the right amount of spice.“

“My Cubana Torta was mouth wateringly delicious, especially when paired with the Horchata. One sandwich was about $20 which sounds pricey, but it was so ginormous, it was easily split between 2 hungry people, and we could barely finish it! The service was friendly too, seating is in the food court, so no need to wait. They also have a visa machine, so purchasing your food is made easy. I would definitely go back and try other items on the menu.“

“I’ve been coming here since September of last year and I absolutely love this restaurant and the entire staff too. This was the first ever place that I tried shawarma at for the very first time and my experience here was incredible and I’ll never forget it. They make the best shawarma in Toronto and would highly recommended this place to anyone who’s interested in having a real delicious meal to leave you satisfied. I first tried the chicken shawarma poutine loved it. I recently tried their mixed beef/chicken wraps which was just equally as good. They also have the best tastiest pizza and great selection of drinks and tasty desserts with coffee which I’ve also tried. Anybody there will really provide you with an unforgettable service which you’ll really enjoy a lot and it is always like that any day you go there. “Are you craving for Mexican food, then this is the right place. They serve extremely delicious and authentic spanish food. The couple who runs this place are very friendly and hospitable . Tried Vegetarian tacos, quesdila and strawberry and chocolate Churos. Will visit again with family.

“Personally my fav go burrito spot. I don't know what it is but I'd go there over fat bastards or burrito boys. Food is good, diverse, nice seating and atmosphere, food tastes fresh. It's a bit more expensive but they give you the dose you ask for. I've turned folks into believers so I must know what I'm talking about“
